Pitchers Hyun-Jin Ryu FD - P 7700 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - COL (Chi Chi Gonzalez) Park - LAD FD - 35.94 DK - 19.76 After a tough stretch for Ryu where people were asking if he was cooked for the season, he rallied back with a masterful 7 IP 6K 2H 0BB 0 ER performance against the Mets in his last start. Now we are grabbing him at prices that assume he is done. It's funny how the clustering of certain instances can color our opinion of a pitcher. While the 4 BB start against Colorado was legitimately bad, the other two "bad" starts were mostly Ryu getting BABIP'd to death and getting chased from the game as a result. This is also a fantastic match-up. Don't let the Rockies' season long stats vs. LHP fool you - they have been the second worst team in all the Majors against left handed pitching this season when on the road, and this should be a spot where Ryu can thrive. Jose Berrios FD - P 9400 DK - SP 10900 Opponent - KC (Glenn Sparkman) Park - MIN FD - 38.02 DK - 20.17 Pitching is just a little rough on the main slate today, but Berrios is still a plenty playable option here. He hasn't replicated last year's K numbers, but he's still going for more than 6 IP a start with almost a strikeout per inning. That's plenty of production on these prices, especially in a solid match-up with KC. The Royals have been the 5th worst team in terms of wOBA against righties this season, and that was before they filled the bottom of their lineup with underqualified minor leaguers. Berrios is also an astounding -310 favorite, making him an excellent option for any format here. Catcher/First Base Yasmani Grandal FD - C 3200 DK - C 4400 Opponent - PIT (James Marvel) Park - MIL FD - 12.56 DK - 9.37 "James," you might be wondering, "Who on Earth is James Marvel?" Truthfully, I had absolutely no idea before I started writing this article. What I learned was that he was a 26 year old non-prospect in the Pittsburgh farm system that was flexing a 5.04 xFIP in AAA this season before being called up and being much worse than that in his 9 Major League innings. All this to say, I like grabbing one of baseball's best switch-hitting...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 9/20/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 9/20/19 We only have two Friday's left in the regular season and I'm truly sad to the season coming to an end. It's been a fun season up to this point and our projection model has been killing it all year. Luckily, we don't have any Coors Field games on this slate and that makes things so much easier on us. What is weird about this time of the year is that we have wacky things happening with these rotations and lineups. So, be sure to monitor lineups and pitch counts before doing anything. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Zack Greinke FD 9200 DK 9800 Opponent - LAA (Jaime Barria) Park - LAAFD - 37.86 DK - 20.39 The statistics from the Angels aren't going to tell you that this is a good play but this is simply not the same team right now. In fact, the Angels are without their three-best hitters, with Mike Trout, Justin Upton and Tommy LaStella all sidelined. That has players like Kole Calhoun, Albert Pujols and Jared Walsh making up the heart of this lineup. That's truly horrifying for Angels fans and it's no surprise this club ranks dead-last in runs scored for the month of September. We have to love someone as consistent as Greinke opposing them too, with the veteran posting a 2.95 ERA and 1.00 WHIP so far this season. That's why he and the Astros enter this matchup as a -350 favorite. Anibal Sanchez FD 8300 DK 8100 Opponent - MIA (Robert Dugger) Park - MIAFD - 31.35 DK - 16.33 These prices are truly shocking. Sanchez has really bounced back the last two seasons and it's hard to understand why these DFS sites are disrespecting him with these prices. In fact, Sanchez has a 3,38 ERA and 1.18 WHIP dating back to last season. He's shown signs of that recently, pitching at least seven innings in his last two starts while allowing a total of 10 baserunners and two runs. That's truly scary for one of the worst offenses in baseball, with the Marlins ranked bottom-two in runs scored, OBP, OPS and xwOBA. That doesn't even take into consideration that Marlins Park is one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in the Majors, with Sanchez entering this matchup as a -200 favorite. Only some pitch count concerns have me worried about Clayton Kershaw (FD $10400 DK $10800) not getting full run here. Catcher/First Base Ji-Man Choi FD 3000 DK...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday 9/17/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday 9/17/19 With less than two weeks remaining in the regular season, we have another fun Tuesday slate on the docket. This happens to be one of the last series played in Coors Field though, so it's time to get in those bats before it's too late. With that in mind, let's get into our Tuesday plays. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Yu Darvish FD 10400 DK 11200 Opponent - CIN (Sonny Gray) Park - CINFD - 40.32 DK - 21.51 Darvish got off to a terrible start at the beginning of the year but he's been one of the best pitchers in the Majors over the last two months. In fact, Darvish has a 2.44 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 12.6 K/9 rate over his last 11 starts. That's the guy that we've been waiting for all season and we have to love him in a matchup like this. The Reds currently rank 20th in runs scored and 28th in xwOBA and could be without Joey Votto for this game. That was a team with Dereck Dietrich, Yasiel Puig and Scooter Gennett as well and it's clear that this is one of the worst lineups in baseball. Patrick Corbin FD 9700 DK 10800 Opponent - STL (Miles Mikolas) Park - STLFD - 35.45 DK - 19.37 Corbin doesn't get the best matchup in the Cardinals on Tuesday, but he's still coming far too cheap on both sites, but especially on FanDuel. Dude is striking out 10.33 batters per nine on the season and owns a 3.66 xFIP. St. Louis actually ranks below average this season against lefties with a .316 team wOBA in that split. I think we are getting Corbins peripherals at a discount even if there aren't tremendous win odds in his favor. You obviously have to strongly consider Justin Verlander (FD $12000 DK $12800) but it's so very expensive at this point and will come at the cost of decent bats. Catcher/First Base Daniel Murphy FD - 1B 3100 DK - 1B 4400 Opponent - NYM (Marcus Stroman) Park - COL FD - 14.14 DK - 10.86 These prices are downright insulting. We're talking about a great bat hitting in Coors Field being priced like a league-average hitter. That simply makes no sense when you consider that Murphy has an OPS north of .900 against righties since 2016. He happens to face a struggling righty here too, with Stroman generating a 4.50 ERA and 1.67 WHIP since...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 9/16/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 9/16/19 Sunday football is over meaning we start the week with some MLB action as the season winds down. There are eight games on this slate with some pitchers who've hit a late season lull and offenses against weaker arms. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Robbie Ray FD - P 9200 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - MIA (Pablo Lopez) Park - ARIFD - 38.35 DK - 20.63 After looking like he’d cured some of his control issues this season, Ray has had a rough time of it in the short term. He had walked 10 batters in 14 innings before getting shelled by the Mets last time out and not getting through a full inning. He’ll look to bounce back against a Marlins’ team that’s ranked second to last in the league against lefties this season in wOBA. Ray is a -210 home favorite and the Marlins’ 3.4 implied runs are the second-lowest on the slate. Dude can still dial up the K’s, striking out close to 12 batters per nine this season. If he can exhibit even modest control in this matchup he has incredible upside. Tanner Roark FD - P 7900 DK - SP 9300 Opponent - KC (Glenn Sparkman) Park - OAKFD - 33.91 DK - 17.39 Roark has the best moneyline win odds on Monday as a -300 opening home favorite against the Royals. Kansas City is garbage, looking terrible most of the season and now shuttling in September callup and non-prospects into their lineup to round out the roster. Roark is a slightly above average pitcher in an fantastic spot at solid prices on both sites. The sub-$8K FanDuel price puts him into cash consideration there seeing as how you can then stack bats a bit easier. The DraftKings’ price isn’t as advantageous, but at sub$10K, you are getting just enough strikeout equity considering he K’s about 8.5 batters per nine. Strongly consider Matthew Boyd (FD $8900 DK $12000). Similar to Ray, Boyd had put together an exemplary season before struggling in about half of his last six starts. The strikeouts are still (mostly) there, but he’s been knocked around some, allowing five or more earned runs in three of those games. But I like his price on FanDuel even as an underdog to the O’s here. Catcher/First Base Eric Thames FD - 1B 2700 DK - 1B 4100 Opponent - SD (Undecided) Park - MILFD - 11.31 DK - 8.49 The Brewers...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/15/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/15/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Writing up and stacking Coors Field is way too simple, so we're going to fade that game altogether. You know that all of those guys are good plays, so we'll do our best to offer up premium plays from other games. There are some great options on the board and the Astros happen to be our favorite stack of the day. With that in mind, let's get to Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus as our two pitchers of the day. Pitchers Shane Bieber FD - P 11200 DK - SP 11800 Opponent - MIN (Jose Berrios) Park - CLE FD - 39.32 DK - 21.63 Ok, we lied about Justin Bieber but many people may not realize that this Bieber is one of the ten best pitchers in baseball right now. That's crystal clear by his 3.17 ERA and 1.00 WHIP, striking out 241 batters across 194.2 innings of action. Those absurd numbers put him in play against anyone and we're going to take a chance on him against the best offense in baseball. One thing that limits the Twins upside is the fact that they have to hit in Cleveland, which ranks as a pitcher-friendly park according to park factors. Bieber has actually had success against Minnesota all season long too, pitching to a 3.22 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 12.2 K/9 rate in three starts against them this season. Wade Miley FD - P 7700 DK - SP 7400 Opponent - KC (Jake Junis) Park - KC FD - 31.7 DK - 16.63 If you're looking for someone with low ownership, Miley is your guy. This dude has been absolutely horrendous his last two starts but it's lowered his price tag to these intriguing numbers. Prior to the two worst starts of his season, Miley pitched to a 3.06 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over his first 28 starts. That's the guy we expect to see here, as he gets a stellar matchup against a bad offense. In fact, Kansas City currently ranks 27th in runs scored, 26th in OBP and 27th in OPS. That's why Miley and the Astros enter this matchup as a -230 favorite. We also like Jose Berrios opposing Shane Bieber as well. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 4900 Opponent - WSH (Anibal Sanchez) Park - WSH FD - 13.31 DK - 10.09 Many people aren't really considering Freeman as an NL MVP candidate...
