There were numerous starters held to just three or four innings, making it hard to know what to expect here. That's why we're going to focus on teams who have something to play for, so, let's start things off with one of those pitchers! Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 9300 DK - SP 8700 Opponent - STL (Adam Wainwright) Park - STL FD - 36.91 DK - 19.7 Woodruff has quietly been one of the best pitchers in the NL this season and we love that his team is actually playing for something. There's only a handful of teams doing that and it makes Woodruff one of the only reliable options out there. Getting a pitcher in a must-win game on a volatile slate is enough incentive to use Woodruff but he's been amazing for the second-straight year. In fact, he's pitching to a 3.43 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 11.1 K/9 rate this season. That fantastic K rate has led to an impressive floor, with Woodruff scoring at least 16 FanDuel points in all 12 starts this season. Getting to face a 24th-ranked Cardinals offense is the icing on the cake though. Lance McCullers Jr. FD - P 9500 DK - SP 8300 Opponent - TEX (Kyle Gibson) Park - TEX FD - 34.76 DK - 18.62 McCullers is a risky pitcher but his upside is hard to fade. We're talking about a guy who has at least 45 FanDuel points in three of his last four starts, pitching to a 1.83 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 10.1 K/9 rate in that span. That's the stud we love to see and the matchups against Texas is the thing that really makes him attractive here. The Rangers currently rank 29th or 30th in OBP, OPS, wOBA and runs scored. That's bad news against a hot pitcher like McCullers, particularly one who just went seven scoreless innings against them last week. That's why he and the Astros enter this matchup as a -210 favorite. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 5500 Opponent - BOS (Tanner Houck) Park - ATL FD - 13.98 DK - 10.5 It's hard to overlook just how good this guy has been this season. He was actually in this article on Friday and unfortunately, didn't find his way...

It's been an absolute sprint to get to this point and fortunately for us, there are still things that need to be decided. That means most big players should be in the lineup but there's certainly going to be some wackiness as the weekend progresses. That means you need to keep an eye on updates and capitalize on any major value out there. With that in mind, let's get into our Friday plays! Pitchers Carlos Carrasco FD - P 10800 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - PIT (Mitch Keller) Park - CLE FD - 42.54 DK - 23.23 While Carrasco is definitely a great pitcher, this is more about facing the Pirates. This offense is downright dreadful, ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS and wOBA. Their .631 OPS is on par with some of the worst hitters in any lineup and it's crazy that they're doing that as a unit. It's not like Carrasco is some bum either, owning a 2.90 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 10.7 K/9 rate this season. He's actually coming off of his best start of the year too, dropping 64 FanDuel points in seven scoreless innings. That has Cookie and the Indians entering this matchup as a -260 favorite. Chris Bassitt FD - P 8600 DK - SP 7900 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - OAK FD - 32.26 DK - 16.71 This guy really deserves more credit. A 2.57 ERA and 1.21 WHIP on the season is impressive on its own but he's actually been better recently. Over his last three starts, Bassitt is pitching to a 0.46 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 8.7 K/9 rate. All of that makes him one of the best pitchers in this rotation and it's scary to think that he has a 0.89 ERA and 1.09 WHIP at home this season as well. Getting to face Seattle is the icing on the cake, with the Mariners sitting 24th in runs scored, 23rd in OBP, 28th in OPS and 22nd in K rate. All of that has Bassitt as a -210 favorite in this matchup. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4400 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - BOS (Chris Mazza) Park - ATL FD - 15.22 DK - 11.44 This dude has been in these articles a lot recently and it's easy to understand why when you see his numbers. For...

Pitchers Framber Valdez FD - P 10000 DK - RP 9700 Opponent - SEA (Ljay Newsome) Park - SEAFD - 37.23 DK - 19.59 Valdez struggled in starts against the Dodgers and Angels but bounced back last time around against the Rangers, striking out 11 batters in 6 1/3 innings while allowing only a single run. He’s had an excellent season with a 3.02 xFIP and is striking out batters 26% of the time while issuing only a 6% walk rate. These are near ace-level peripherals and on Tuesday he’ll face the Mariners who have the 27th-ranked team wOBA in the league right now. They are a light-hitting crew that strikes out 25% of the time on the season. This is a smash spot for Valdez as a -172 opening money line favorite. Blake Snell FD - P 9200 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - NYM (Seth Lugo) Park - NYMFD - 35.05 DK - 19.21 After getting up over 100 pitches in two of his previous four games, the Rays dialed it back for Snell in the doubleheader against Baltimore on Thursday, throwing him only 72 pitches though that did take him through more than five innings. He’s been excellent in his shortened season with a 3.07 xFIP and a strikeout rate close to 11 per nine. The only hesitation here on Tuesday is that the Mets are a very good offensive team and that could cause some issues. But pitching is pretty weak all around on this slate and Snell rates as the best overall arm opponent notwithstanding. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - MIA (Jose Urena) Park - ATLFD - 14.37 DK - 10.79 Freeman is putting together a monster, MVP-caliber season with just about every number checking the right box. He’s walking (17%) more than he’s striking out (14%), has a 1.084 OPS and has just generally been crushing. Only the power is lagging behind his per plate appearance numbers from last season, but notably much. And this is a near-perfect matchup for Freeman against Jose Urena who has only struck out six batters per nine for his career while walking more than three. He’s the very definition of a below-average...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! This is going to be the only normal Sunday slate left. In fact, we have just one Sunday remaining in the year but it is the dreaded final day of the regular season. Things should remain relatively normal for this one though and that's all we can ask for as DFS players. With that in mind, let's get to our favorite pitchers of the slate. Pitchers Carlos Carrasco FD - P 9900 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - DET (Matthew Boyd) Park - DET FD - 40.72 DK - 22.4 A 2-4 record doesn't necessarily look very good but a 3.27 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 10.3 K/9 rate is pretty much what we expect from Cookie Carrasco. He's actually been even better over recent years, amassing a 3.43 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 30 percent K rate since 2015. The best part about using him today is this matchup though, facing a Detroit team who owns the worst K rate in the Majors while sitting 25th in OBP and 23rd in runs scored. That's why he and the Indians enter this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the Tigers projected for less than four runs. Jose Urquidy FD - P 6500 DK - SP 7300 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - HOU FD - 23.71 DK - 12.36 This is honestly some of the worst pricing I've seen all season. I expected to see Uequidy in the $8,000s on both sites but he remains way too cheap. I say that because he has a 2.70 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in three starts this season. That stellar form carries over from last year too, with Urquidy allowing one run or fewer in six of his final seven starts last season. All of that doesn't even take into consideration this superb matchup, facing a Diamondbacks club that ranks 28th in both runs scored and OBP while sitting 29th in wOBA. It has Urquidy and the Astros entering this matchup as a -210 favorite. We also think Max Scherzer could roll over Miami in Marlins Park, and he's an obvious big money option as usual. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4100 DK - 1B 5600 Opponent - NYM (Rick Porcello) Park - NYM FD - 13.03 DK - 9.79 Freeman is the hottest player in baseball and he's going to remain in these articles until he cools off. Over the last 14 games, FF has...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/19/20 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Friday's slate was full of big production and it was a solid day here at DFSR. Things are going to get tougher and tougher as the season finishes though and it should make for some fascinating slates. With that in mind, let's go ahead and get into it! Pitchers Andrew Heaney FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8300 Opponent - TEX (Lance Lynn) Park - LAA FD - 35.87 DK - 19.81 This price really surprised me. Heaney was my first inclination before I even opened up DraftKings and I figured he'd be about $10,000. I was obviously ecstatic to see that he was sitting around $8,500 on both sites, in the best matchup possible. We'll start with that opposition, with the Rangers sitting 29th in both wOBA and OBP while scoring the fewest runs in the league. That's brilliant news for a guy like Heaney, who's got a 2.36 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 9.4 K/9 rate over his last four starts. Charlie Morton FD - P 7600 DK - SP 7400 Opponent - BAL (Jorge López) Park - BAL FD - 37.28 DK - 20.49 It's strange to see Morton priced so cheaply. The reason for that is because he just came off the IL and has been seeing limited pitch counts since then. The good news for us is that he's approaching a full workload, throwing 77 pitches in his last start against Boston. That means we could be looking at somewhere between 80-90 pitches here which is all we can hope for from a guy this talented. We're talking about a dude who posted a 3.05 ERA and 1.06 WHIP last season, striking out 240 batters across 194.2 innings of action. That's fantastic news when you consider that Baltimore has lost nine of their last 11 games, scoring one run or fewer in seven of those. That has Tampa enters this matchup as a -185 favorite. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 5700 Opponent - NYM (David Peterson) Park - NYM FD - 12.84 DK - 9.65 This guy is absolutely ridiculous right now. Over his last 27 games played, Freeman has a .420 OBP, .532 OBP, .780 SLG and 1.312 OPS. That doesn't even take into consideration his three hits and two doubles on Friday, making him the hottest hitter in baseball. Its certainly not a matchup we're concerned with either, with Peterson amassing...
