Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Early Slate Toronto Blue Jays vs. Pat Dean(Twins) If you're looking for some serious firepower then this is the stack for you. The Blue Jays rank 8th in the league in home runs hit off of left-handed pitchers, and they've got plenty of guys who know how to crush bad pitching. Speaking of bad pitching, let's take a look at Pat Dean, who will be making his first big league start this afternoon. Although he's got a K/9 of 7.88 right now, prior to being called up to the majors he didn't have a K/9 much above 5 since he was in single A all the way back in 2011. This is big for the Blue Jays, who have a tendency to strikeout at a rate above the league average. For this particular stack I like the usual suspects in Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, and Jose Bautista, and these three guys can be paired with either Justin Smoak or Russell Martin (depending on who's hitting in a more advantageous lineup spot, although I tend to lean...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/3/16 And just like that it's baseball season again. It feels like we never even left the grass fields, crack of the bats and a season that feels like it lasts a lifetime. This first Sunday only has three games on it so this is going to be a shorter version of our daily picks. We'll have a blowout post for Monday's big slate, but this is a good place to get started. Let's get down with our first baseball picks of the season. Now’s your chance to get DFSR Pro with MLB Optimal Lineups, Projections and Player Cards. We've also launched a Stats and Research Page, which includes a lot of the individual statistics that we use to make our projections. It's free! Enjoy. PITCHER Francisco Liriano FD 8400 DK 9300 Opponent - STL (Wainwright) Park - @PIT FD - 45.74 DK - 25.04 Liriano is coming off one of the best pitching seasons of his career. He finished 2015 with a 3.16 xFIP while striking out 9.88 batters per nine and decreasing his walk rate significantly off the career averages. It's a pitcher headed in the right direction for sure, especially when it comes to his control. He heads into this short slate Opening Sunday as the heaviest (by only degrees) favorite at -116 with a 6.5 o/u, the lowest on the board. The Cardinals were one of the worst teams in baseball against lefties last season, though they are in line for some improvement there in losing Heyward and moving Piscotty into the two slot. Still, they aren't a power impact team and PNC Park is solid for pitchers. On a tough day our system has Liriano as the top pts/$ play. Adam Wainwright FD 8600 DK 8700 Opponent - PIT (Liriano) Park - @PIT FD - 36.79 DK - 18.72 I don't typically like pairing pitchers facing off against each other because it greatly...
