Pitchers Shane McClanahan FD - P 7800 DK - RP 8600 Opponent - BAL (John Means) Park - TBFD - 34.31 DK - 18.58 Shane McClanahan has had an excellent season, able to translate his minor league numbers into striking out major league bats. He’s putting down hitters almost 30% of the time and the 3.24 xFIP is about three-quarters a run better than the ERA. He comes in as the best-win odds pitcher on the slate as a -191 home favorite against the Orioles. Baltimore strikes out about 24% of the time as a team and ranks 22nd in terms of wOBA. I suspect he is one of the highest-owned cash game pitchers. He’s simply too cheap on both sites, especially FanDuel. Trevor Rogers FD - P 10000 DK - RP 10000 Opponent - WSH (Paolo Espino) Park - WSHFD - 34.19 DK - 18.95 Rogers is more expensive though his numbers aren’t that different from McClanahan. He’s run better with the ERA (2.31) even though the xFIP is about the same. He’s a good pitcher in his own right obviously but has a worse matchup against the Nationals who are in the top-third on offense this season. And his win odds aren’t as good. But because of the McClanahan’s discount on DraftKings you can definitely play these guys together over there. Catcher/First Base C.J. Cron FD 3700 DK 5000 Opponent - SEA (Marco Gonzales) Park - SEAFD - 13.51 DK - 10.18 You are guying to see more than a couple of Rockies on this list today and for good reason. Playing in Coors against a weaker lefty will do that. Gonzales has a 5.05 xFIP on the season and doesn’t have much in the strikeout stuff. Cron has had a solid enough first season with the Rockies with a mid-800s OPS and 13 home runs. He walks enough to keep the floor high and should be hitting in the top six spots in the lineup against the lefty. Yuli Gurriel FD 2700 DK 4200 Opponent - CLE (Triston McKenzie) Park - CLEFD - 14.03 DK - 10.76 Gurriel makes a solid cash game play in most matchups because he puts the ball in play so much (80% of the time) and strikes out only 10% of the time. The contact rate is elite and he has some power as well with 10 home runs this...

Pitchers Zack Wheeler FD - P 11000 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - MIA (Undecided) Park - PHIFD - 38.59 DK - 21.08 Wheeler is having a total breakout of a season, spiking the strikeouts to career numbers and turning into one of the best pitchers in the league. He’s K-ing batters close to 31% of the time and shown elite control with a 5.5:1 K:BB ratio. The Marlins rank as the third-worst offense in the league this season, striking out more than 26% of the time. Even at elevated prices, Wheeler will likely be the chalk on this slate and it makes sense. Hyun-Jin Ryu FD - DK - SP 7600 Opponent - TEX (Kolby Allard) Park - TORFD - 0 DK - 18.98 Ryu isn’t going to dial up the strikeouts much based on the way he is pitching this season. He is K-ing fewer than 7.5 batters per nine which is a drop off from his numbers over the last few seasons. But he still induces ground balls about 50% of the time and limits the walks. The Rangers rank 24th on offense this season and strike out more than 24% of the time. Plus, Ryu comes in as a -235 home favorite, the best win odds on the slate. He’s not available on FanDuel, but run him on DraftKings. Catcher/First Base Darin Ruf FD - OF 2900 DK - 1B 5000 Opponent - STL (Wade LeBlanc) Park - STLFD - 11.44 DK - 8.65 Ruf is having an awesome season with a .952 OPS through his 144 plate appearances. He’s totaled up nine home runs already and is walking an elite 17% of the time. And he’s done real damage against lefties for his career with a 157 wRC+, .401 wOBA and .952 OPS in that split. Those are some of the best numbers you will see. Against a very weak arm in Wade leBlanc this is a great spot for Ruf if he’s hitting in the middle of the lineup. If Buster Posey is back in the lineup then he would be looking like a cash game play as well. Jeimer Candelario FD - 1B 2700 DK - 3B 4000 Opponent - MIN (J.A. Happ) Park - DETFD - 10.51 DK - 7.94 I think we can go cheaper at 1B on this slate with some middle-of-the-order bats coming really cheap. Candelario should...

Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD 10100 DK 10000 Opponent - BOS (Nathan Eovaldi) Park - BOSFD - 41.42 DK - 23.27 Cole had struggled for a couple of outings, possibly related to the new rules around Spider tack and other grip substances. But he turned right back around last outing with a complete-game shutout against the Astros. He struck out 12 and walked only two over the game, his best of the year. He doesn't get a great matchup against the Red Sox here, but along with Woodruff is just the best overall pitcher on the slate. Alex Cobb FD 8800 DK 8200 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - SEAFD - 35.81 DK - 19.12 Cobb has basically turned into a totally different pitcher this season, striking out more than 10 batters an inning when the career number is 7.25/9 over a sizable sample. And the 3.04 xFIP would represent the second-best number of his career if the season ended today. He’s throwing his curveball less and his changeup more, which is helping and he is getting people to swing outside of the zone more. Plus, Cobb is throwing his fastball harder than at any point in his career as well. It is all working and he has been one of the surprise stories on the mound this season. Strongly consider Tylor Megill (FD $6500 DK $8000) against the Pirates. Catcher/First Base Will Smith FD 3200 DK 4800 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - COLFD - 15.7 DK - 11.66 With the Dodgers playing in Coors once again, we can stack them without wringing our hands all that much. Against the lefty Freeland, Smith should be in the middle of the order. It is worth noting that the catcher has been better against righties for his career, and that isn’t a luck thing either. He takes more walks in that split. But that BABIP definitely is a factor here. If the Dodgers are going to believe in him hitting here, then we should too and he’s just too cheap on FanDuel rolling in Coors. Chris Gittens FD 2000 DK 2000 Opponent - BOS (Nathan Eovaldi) Park - BOSFD - 6.67 DK - 5.13 He’s not a household name, but Gittens has been called into service with the Yankees having to shelve players because of COVID issues. He hit the minors pretty well in his last couple of...

Pitchers Robbie Ray FD 9800 DK 9300 Opponent - TEX (Jordan Lyles) Park - TEXFD - 36.88 DK - 19.48 Robbie Ray is putting together the season the Arizona Diamondbacks dreamed about for all those years. They never got it and now he’s awesome with Toronto. On the season, Ray is striking out more than 11 batters per nine and has finally limited the walks to fewer than two free passes per nine. He has a career-best 3.15 xFIP which is right in line with his 3.13 ERA. He is a -225 home favorite against the Rangers on Friday, the best win odds on the slate by far. Chris Bassitt FD 9900 DK 8500 Opponent - CLE (Eli Morgan) Park - CLEFD - 40.31 DK - 22 Like Robbie Ray, Bassitt is having the best season of his career, striking out a batter an inning and going longer into games as well. He’s averaging more than six innings per start on the season. The 3.97 xFIP is a bit worse than his 3.28 ERA, but he’s still in a good spot against the Indians on Friday. The A’s are -190 home favorites with an 8 over/under. The implied runs against are about the best on the slate outside of the doubleheaders. This is a great spot to run Ray/ Bassitt on DraftKings. Catcher/First Base Cody Bellinger FD 4000 DK 5000 Opponent - COL (Antonio Senzatela) Park - COLFD - 16.93 DK - 12.62 Max Muncy FD 4400 DK 5800 Opponent - COL (Antonio Senzatela) Park - COLFD - 16.83 DK - 12.4 The Dodgers are going to be a popular stack on Friday with the return from the All-Star Break, and for very good reason. They are heading into Coors and facing Antonio Senzatela in the best matchup and park on the slate. Muncy should be in the second slot in the lineup for LA and is having another fantastic season. His .973 OBA is elite, walking (18%) more than he strikes out (17%) and cranking out 19 home runs already. You have to pay for him for sure, like all the Dodgers, but not paying out the nose for pitching helps here. Meanwhile, Bellinger has really struggled so far this season with an OPS under .600, striking out at the highest rate of his career (27%). The more concerning number is the hard contact rate which is...

Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 11200 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - CIN (Luis Castillo) Park - MILFD - 43.44 DK - 24.93 The Reds are a really good offense this season which makes this something of a more questionable play. But it’s tough to look at Woodruff’s numbers and not just basically run him sight unseen. He’s striking out 10.5 batters per nine and he limits the walks as well. His 2.91 xFIP is among the best of the league and he’s running even better on the ERA. He’s been among the best WAR pitchers in the league this season and even with a bad matchup, he makes for the best cash game arm on the slate. José Berríos FD - P 9900 DK - SP 8000 Opponent - DET (Wily Peralta) Park - MINFD - 35.4 DK - 19.47 The Tigers rank in the bottom third of the league in team offense with a .304 wOBA. And they strike out more than 27% of the time as well, giving Berrios big-time K upside in this matchup. Berrios is having one of the best seasons of his career with a 3.52 xFIP that would be his best number over the last six seasons. He’s striking out more than a batter per inning and been able to get the walks back to what he was doing in 2019. He’s a -215 home favorite which gives him the best win probability on the slate. Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD - 1B 3600 DK - 1B 5900 Opponent - BAL (Spenser Watkins) Park - BALFD - 14.73 DK - 11.14 For the second day in a row, you are going to see a bunch of White Sox bats in this writeup. That’s what happens when you get a team facing a middling arm who doesn’t project to strike anyone out. That’s the case with Spenser Watkins who has a low ERA in his first few innings but hasn’t had swing and miss stuff at almost any level. Abreu’s power numbers and OPS are down this season, but that’s somewhat keeping the price in check and he’s got such a good matchup here. Trey Mancini FD - 1B 2900 DK - 1B 4400 Opponent - CHW (Dylan Cease) Park - BALFD - 11.56 DK - 8.79 Mancini hit second in the order for the Orioles on Saturday and could be...
