Pitcher Early Zack Wheeler FD 7100 DK 7700 Opponent - BAL (Dylan Bundy) Park - NYM FD - 31.3 DK - 16.21 Baltimore against the Mets is as close as the early slate gets to a “pitcher’s duel” with Wheeler facing off against Dylan Bundy. Our system slightly favors Wheeler in this matchup. Despite the 5.14 ERA, the 3.94 xFIP is more than a run lower thanks to some LOB% run bad combined with a BABIP-against higher than his career averages. Wheeler is striking out about 23% of batters, good for more than a K an inning and gets to face an Orioles’ team ranked 27th in wOBA against righty pitching this season. They strike out about 25% of the time in this split and the bottom of the order is truly dreadful. Wheeler is a slight -117 opening favorite and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this climb a bit during the day. Tanner Roark FD 8000 DK 8300 Opponent - TB (Undecided) Park - WSH FD - 33.96 DK - 17.3 At the time of this writing, there was no opening line on the Washington-Tampa Bay game most likely because the latter hadn’t announced a starting pitcher. I expect the Nationals to be somewhat heavy favorites once that line hits and Roark could end up looking like a much better play than Wheeler if the win expectancy is significantly higher. Assuming the lineup is about the same as the one we saw against Scherzer on Tuesday, it strikes out about 10% more than league average in their righty splits. This is a pretty big number all things considered especially because on average Roark isn’t a huge swing and miss guy. But if we can bump that number some (he’s at about 7.5 K’s per nine) then we’re looking at a cash game play for sure. Almost no matter which way you go you won’t be spending much on arms for the early slate. Strongly consider Dylan Bundy...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy MLB Podcast for FanDuel & DraftKings Tuesday 6/5/18
DFSR's Daily Fantasy MLB Podcast for FanDuel & DraftKings Tuesday 6/5/18 It’s a big Tuesday in baseball and there’s a ton for the DFSR crew of James Davis and Doug Norrie to discuss. They take a look at the FanDuel and DraftKings plays for the day and how to best attack some cash and GPP lineups. They start with pitcher where Max Scherzer seems like the clear, safe way to pay up at the position. He’s been excellent and is a huge favorite against the Rays. They also look at Corey Kluber, Sean Newcomb, Kyle Hendricks and more as possible pivots/ SP2 options. On the offensive side of things the A’s stand out as a possible full cash stack against Matt Moore in Texas. But plenty of other bad arms are taking the mound as well. The guys break down everything on the full slate of Tuesday MLB action. Be sure to subscribe...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Domingo German FD 6600 DK 8700 Opponent - DET (Drew VerHagen) Park - DET FD - 30.65 DK - 15.81 This is one of the smallest baseball slates you’ll ever see with only four games on the evening schedule. That reduces (significantly) the number of decisions we’ll have to make and also likely means there will be quite a bit of lineup overlap. With Luis Severino pitching the first leg of the Yankees-Tigers doubleheader, we also take the best arm of the day off of the main slate of games. That leaves with Domingo German taking the mound in the second game. German has been solid since entering the starting rotation four games ago. In his four starts, he’s averaging more than five innings and more than a strikeout an inning. The Tigers are a bottom-third offense against righty pitching this season with a .307 team wOBA in that split. They don’t strike out a ton (21% of the time) which could lower German’s high-end K upside. He opens as a -200 favorite, easily placing him with the highest win expectancy on the small slate. Julio Teheran FD 7600 DK 9800 Opponent - SD (Clayton Richard) Park - SD FD - 33.54 DK - 16.95 Another year and another Padres team that just can’t hit at all. They’ve been this way for as long as I can remember and it doesn’t aim to change anytime soon. They enter Monday ranked 28th in the league against righty pitching with a team .285 wOBA and strike out at the third-highest rate in the league (26%). The Padres only have 3.84 implied runs going into this game which also helps booster Teheran’s case. The park is an ideal pitcher’s paradise and the price on the Atlanta righty is on the cheaper side. The issue is Teheran has been pretty damn bad this season. His xFIP is up near 5.00 and he’s walking almost 1.5 more batters per nine than his career averages. With so few options, I’m fine buying on the matchup and park above all else. Clayton Richard FD 7200 DK 6200 Opponent - ATL (Julio Teheran) Park - SDFD - 30.27 DK - 14.71 Again, this is a day with few options and we need to take what we can...
DFS MLB Podcast for Friday 6/1/18 – FanDuel & DraftKings
DFS MLB Podcast for Friday 6/1/18 - FanDuel & DraftKings It’s a big Friday in baseball and the DFSR crew breaks down all of the options on DraftKings and FanDuel. They start off by discussing some of the upper tier pitching options, specifically Gerrit Cole and Chris Sale facing off against each other in Houston. It’s an interesting spot for both considering their prices are a bit depressed on both sites because of the matchup. But they are clearly the best two arms on the day and we have to weigh that against the rest of the options. They also take a look at guys like Nick Pivetta, Sonny Gray, Miles Mikolas and some others if you don’t want to go the double expensive route. For the bats, there’s a game in Coors to consider but plenty of other teams in great spots against bad pitchers. The Brewers get Hector Santiago, the Diamondbacks face Elieser Hernandez and much more. Be sure to subscribe...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy MLB Podcast for FanDuel & DraftKings Wednesday 5/30/18
DFSR's Daily Fantasy MLB Podcast for FanDuel & DraftKings Wednesday 5/30/18 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Wednesday podcast discussing a double slate of MLB action for DraftKings and FanDuel. There’s a lot to like from both the early afternoon and evening set of games in terms of high upside pitching and bats in great spots against bad pitchers. Corey Kluber highlights the early slate of games as the clear cash game pitcher. The guys also discuss the merits of Alex Reyes in cash even though he’s coming off of only a few rehab starts. They also look at the Indians as a stack in cash games. For the evening the guys discuss the mispricing of James Paxton on both sites, but especially FanDuel where he’s under 10K. Of course, there’s also a game Coors to figure out and some quality SP2 options on DraftKings. Be sure to subscribe...
