Early Slate Stacks to watch The early games today feature a ton of terrible pitchers to stack against. Here is a pretty solid group of them for you! Minnesota Twins @MIN - vs. BAL (Dan Straily) - Implied Runs: 5.69 St. Louis Cardinals @STL - vs. CIN (Tyler Mahle) - Implied Runs: 4.81 Oakland Athletics @TOR - vs. TOR (Aaron Sanchez) - Implied Runs: 4.66 Early slate pitchers Stephen Strasburg and JA Happ, and a whole lot of bums. Hard to imagine those two not being chalk on both FD and DK. As I said above, for more hot early slate talk be sure to sign up for a free trial of our projection system and hop in our members only chatroom! Pitchers Noah Syndergaard FD - P 9300 DK - 9400 Opponent - MIL (Brandon Woodruff) Park - NYM FD - 35.66 DK - 0 We'll kick things off with Thor, which only seems appropriate given the current public discourse. April has been a forgettable one for the Mets' stud, with a ridiculous .346 BABIP allowed souring what ought to be an actual improvement over last year's solid campaign. Syndergaard has run up his K/9 to 10.55 - more than a full K/9 better than last year's already solid numbers. His 5.40 ERA is more than 2 full runs higher than his xFIP, and some positive regression should be right around the corner. The Brewers are a solid DFS match-up as well, with a league average wOBA against righties with the league's 4th highest strikeout rate against them. Syndergaard is also the second highest favorite on this slate, making him a pretty juicy cash game and big tournament option. Clayton Kershaw FD - P 10900 DK - 10200 Opponent - PIT (Joe Musgrove) Park - LAD FD - 39.52 DK - 0 Were it not for it being Avengers(TM) week, I may have just listed Kershaw atop this entire list. The 31 year old is still getting it done, registering a strikeout per inning, an ERA under 3 and an xFIP in the...

They talk about Max Scherzer’s dominance and how he’s criminally underpriced on DraftKings. They also look at James Paxton’s peripherals, Carlos Rodon and whether his numbers are sustainable and whether to be worried about Hyun-Jin Ryu’s pitch count. For stacks, they wax on Shelby Miller’s ineptitude, the Twins against Alex Cobb and a few more. It’s all there on a full MLB podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings. DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday 4/23/19

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Frankie Montas FD - P 8400 DK - SP 7600 Opponent - TEX (Lance Lynn) Park - OAK FD - 32.5 DK - 15.94 Montas has been one of the early-season breakouts and it's hard to overlook his stellar form. Over his first four starts, Montas owns a 2.70 ERA and 0.94 WHIP while striking out 20 batters across 23.1 innings. What makes that all the more impressive is the fact that two of those starts came against the Houston Astros. In addition, Montas owns a .272 wOBA allowed this season while holding hitters below the Mendoza Line in terms of batting average. While facing Texas isn't necessarily a great matchup, pitching in Oakland is quite the treat. In fact, Oakland Coliseum has surrendered the fewest runs in the majors this season, That's why we have the Rangers projected to score fewer than four runs, with Montas entering this game as a -150 favorite. Spencer Turnbull FD 7000 DK 7200 Opponent - BOS (Hector Velazquez) Park - BOS FD - 36.46 DK - 19.23 It's never fun thinking about running out road underdog into the Red Sox lineup as a possible cash game play. But that's something of the nature of the Tuesday slate of pitching. It's pretty damn grizzly out there. Turnbull's had a nice start to the season with a 27% strikeout rate and 3.86 xFIP through his first 21 innings. The k's are bound to come down some (propped up by a 10K performance against the Royals), but I do think the innings tick up some over the course of the season. Again, on a *normal* day for pitching I don't think we'd be considering Turnbull here but our options appear quite limited. I suppose you can consider Jonathan Loaisiga (FD $5900 DK $6900) against the Angels. He does have big time strikeout stuff, but also has control issues and gives up a lot of free passes. Catcher/First Base Francisco Cervelli FD - C 2300 DK - C 3100 Opponent - ARI (Luke Weaver) Park - PIT FD - 8.83 DK - 6.73 Cervelli is our one catcher for the day and his price is the reason we really like him. In fact, Cervelli sat around $3,000 on FanDuel for the majority of last season and around $4,000 on DraftKings. His early-season slump is why his price is so low but there are reasons to be encouraged. Batting...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 4/19/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! We have a fascinating full slate ahead of us. There is an Arizona-Chicago game that we're going to eliminate, as that happens to be the one day game with Wrigley Field years behind the rest of the league. But with nearly a full schedule ahead of us, let's take a quick look at the weather. The games we need to keep an eye on are the SF-PIT, NYM-STL, MIN-BAL, KAN-NYY, CWS-DET and ATL-CLE games. That's a ton of rain in the forecast and it'll be critical to know what the weather looks like in these matchups prior to first pitch. Baltimore is definitely the most concerning when looking at early forecasts and it's a wonder if they'll even play. With that ugliness behind us, let's get into some of our favorite pitchers. Pitchers Justin Verlander FD 10800 DK 10400 Opponent - TEX (Drew Smyly) Park - TEX FD - 38.94 DK - 21.87 Using pitcher's in Texas is always dangerous but Verlander is hard to fade on any slate. The statistics speak for themselves, with Verlander posting a 3.20 xFIP, 1.04 WHIP and 31.3 percent K-rate this season. Those are the standards we've become accustomed to with Verlander and he's clearly in mid-season form. Despite this being arguably the toughest ballpark in the majors, Verlander has had success against the Rangers throughout his career. In fact, Verlander owns a 2.98 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 26 starts against Texas, striking out 170 batters across 160 innings. Not to mention, Verlander enters this matchup as a monstrous -210 favorite. Jose Berrios FD 10400 DK 10800 Opponent - BAL (Alex Cobb) Park - BAL FD - 37.28 DK - 19.98 While the weather is concerning in this game, it's hard to overlook Berrios' upside if we get the green light to play. What we really like here is his strikeout upside, with Berrios owning a 27.5 percent K-rate this season. It's not just the strikeout rate that makes Berrios intriguing, as he's posted a 2.30 ERA and 0.73 WHIP in four starts this season. That becomes particularly beneficial in a matchup like this, with Baltimore ranking near the bottom of the league in nearly every offensive statistic. In fact, the Orioles sit 23rd in OBP, 22nd in OPS and 27th in xwOBA. Much like Verlander, Berrios enters this matchup as a huge favorite too, with Minnesota being projected as a -210 favorite in this tasty matchup. ...
