GOALIE Jonathan Bernier FD - $7800 DK - $7400 Opponent - ANA Proj Pts FD - 15.07 DK - 3.77 Okay, so Vegas currently has the Ducks listed as -125 road favorites, but their offense is ranked 25th overall and the Avalanche have won their last six games while scoring 26 goals and allowing only nine during that span. I just don't get it and this guy has been one of the hottest goalies on the planet recently as he has won his last five starts while earning a 1.33 GAA and an absurd .960 save % during those five games. What makes me like this guy, even more, this evening is the fact that he used to play for the Ducks and he already defeated them once this season while allowing only one goal and that was in Anaheim. I expect the Avalanche to be moderate home favorites when it's all said and done and with all of these things considered, Bernier is an elite play and my top goalie in all formats. Not only has won five straight starts with a .934 save % but he has also been money on the road this season with an 8-3-3 record and an incredible .946 save % with a shutout. With the Wild playing on back to back nights it will likely be backup Alex Stalock between the pipes and while he hasn't been great this season, he has a couple things going for him tonight. First of all, he has been much better on home ice with a 4-2-1 record to go along with a .927 save % and one shutout. "The Flower" is 9-2-1 this season to go along with a fantastic .945 save % and an equally impressive 1.74 GAA, and he is 4-1 with only five goals against and two shutouts in his last five games. The Oilers are a mess right now as they've lost three in a row and seven of their last eight while scoring only four goals in their last six games. With all of these things considered, Fleury is an elite play and my favorite goalie in all formats. Ben Bishop FD - $8500 DK - $7900 Opponent - COL Proj Pts FD - 15.28 DK - 3.82 We need to separate ourselves from the masses for our tournament lineups and the American tender fits the bill this evening as he should go under-owned against a surging Avalanche squad who although are ranked fifth overall offensively, they dip down to 12th on the road. Tonight it will be backup Phillip Grubauer between the pipes and although he has yet to pick up a win on the road this season, has been in fine form in his last two starts going 1-0-1 while stopping 74 of 75 shots. The matchup also lines up in his favor, despite the loss last night, as Carolina ranks 21st on offense(2.8 goals per game) and there is also upside there as they average just over 34 shots for per game. With limited options and question marks of who will be starting with all the back to back's, I will be using Grubauer in all formats. Sergei Bobrovsky FD - $9000 DK - $8400 Opponent - VAN Proj Pts FD - 15.34 DK - 3.83 It was a bit of an odd night last night as all three favorites lost including Bob and the Blue Jackets losing in Buffalo. He is expected back in the net tonight as the Jackets return home to get another prime matchup vs. the Canucks who have dropped nine of their last 10 games while scoring just 24 goals and now rank 29th in offense on the season. GOALIE Andrei Vasilevskiy FD - $9600 DK - $8300 Opponent - CAR Proj Pts FD - 16.58 DK - 4.14 He put up his worst start of the season in his last start in Ottawa allowing six goals but I am not at all worried and will be going right back to the well tonight. To start with, he has been arguably the best goalie in the league this season with 26 wins, a 2.04 GAA, and an elite .935 save % and he and the Lightning have been nearly unstoppable on home ice. Vegas is also on board tonight as the Bolts are huge -200 favorites vs. the Hurricanes who have lost three of their last four games and rank 21st overall in offense. All things considered, Vasilevskiy is my top choice in all formats tonight. Braden Holtby FD - $9300 DK - $8200 Opponent - VAN Proj Pts FD - 15.25 DK - 3.81 If you are at all worried about Vasilevskiy(I am not), consider Braden Holtby is also in an elite spot tonight. The Capitals open as -225 home favorites vs. a struggling Canucks team that has lost four straight and 12 of their last 14 games and have fallen to 28th overall in offense. Holtby hasn't been his elite self this season with a .917 save % but he has a dominant team around him and has gone 8-1 in his last nine starts to push his win total to 24 on the season.
