James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games for a much more sane week 10 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Quarterback is once again boiling down to finding the best high priced options, with Kyler Murray leading the DFSR pack so far. The guys go in-depth discussing whether you can consider Aaron Rodgers against Jacksonville, which could be a popular play this week as well. Running back is one big question mark at this point. If injuries break in a certain way, we have some phenomenal plays in Mike Davis, Duke Johnson, and Chase Edmonds. If they don't, we'll be left with a smattering of un-sexy midrange options. This position is a wait-and-see until later in the week. We'd really like to pay up at wide receiver this week, with Davante Adams headlining the week in a great match-up with the Jags. After Adams, we have two solid mid-range options in Cooper Kupp and Keenan Allen. If we can't pay up, there are discussions to be had about Terry McLaurin, Robby Anderson, or Sterling Shepard. Tight end is actually fairly clear this week, with Evan Engram looking like the best play unless Kenny Golladay misses another week, in which case TJ Hockenson would be in consideration once again. Quarterbacks Kyler Murray FD 8800 DK 8000 Opponent BUFProj Points FD - 25.92 DK - 26.73 Through eight games, Kyler Murray is currently the NFL leader in per game FanDuel scoring and is second for DraftKings behind only Russell Wilson. He leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards this season with 543 which ranks him eighth overall. He has 74 more yards than the next-closest signal-caller (Lamar Jackson) and his rushing touchdowns rank him third overall. It’s the gains on the ground which make up for him not throwing for a tremendous amount of yards or touchdowns through the air so far. But no matter. If he’s going to average 9.5 runs per game then the fantasy floor remains very high. This game projects to be a shootout with the 56 over/under the highest of any game on the week. The Bills’ defense ranks in the bottom third this season and they allow the 11th-most opponent plays per game. It’s hard to see Murray not paying this price. Aaron Rodgers FD 8400 DK 7900 Opponent JAXProj Points FD - 21.58 DK - 22.08 It’s going to be very enticing to run a full Packers game stack in cash on Sunday’s main slate. They are big (-14) home favorites against the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars and their bottom-feeding defense. Rodgers is coming just a bit cheaper than Murray on both sites. Unlike Murray, Rodgers has done his damage through the air this season with 24 touchdowns to just two interceptions. And over the last three games with his preferred target, DaVante Adams back and fully healthy Rodgers has thrown for 11 TDs, zero interceptions, and completed 71% of his passes. Jacksonville allows a whopping 8.4 yards per pass attempt this season, last in the league with no real hope of getting better. Grabbing as much Green Bay offense as you can this week is going to look like the right move. Daniel Jones FD 6700 DK 5200 Opponent PHIProj Points FD - 17.81 DK - 18.55 If looking to go a little cheaper on DraftKings, Danny Dimes could represent a way to cut some costs on this slate. Now let’s not kid ourselves, Jones isn’t all that good at throwing the ball. He is completing only 62% of his passes and has more interceptions (9) than touchdowns (8). But...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Titans Opponent CHI Titan -3.5 I know the last two weeks have been rough for the Titans with losses to the Steelers and the, ugh Bengals in Week 8. But let’s look a little closer. The Steelers’ loss came down to a missed Gostkowski field goal at the end of regulation. And the Bengals’ game, played in rough weather conditions saw the Titans intercepted in the end zone on their first drive and another missed FG on their second drive. That game should have been much closer. The Titans have the 4th-ranked offense on the season and are actually the second-best passing attack overall this season. That stands in stark contrast to the Bears who rank 27th on that side of the ball. Deciding who to roll between Nick Foles and Mitch Trubisky is part of the reason they are struggling and there isn’t a whole lot of hope of getting better. And sure, on the defensive side of the ball, the Bears have been excellent this season, ranking 6th in DVOA overall and 5th against the pass. But they are worse against the run and its stands to reason the Titans lean on Derrick Henry in this matchup. Plus, the Bears’ defense has slipped over the last couple of weeks as the offense continues struggling to muster any firepower. The Titans take care of business in this game. Atlanta Falcons Opponent DEN Proj Points Falcons -3.5 The Falcons had been losing in increasingly fantastic fashion over a stretch this season. It was really something how they’d pulled out new and creative ways to take the “L”. But things have (sort of) begun turning around in the last few weeks. They have wins over the Vikings and Panthers with a Todd Gurley accidental TD / loss to Detroit jammed in there. That being said, this team is almost definitely better than their 2-6 record suggests and they are 2-1 under Raheem Morris. Where this comes down to, in some part, is the Falcons are a funnel defense, insanely bad against the pass but actually 8th overall against the run. And Denver would much prefer to run considering they are about league average on the ground and near the bottom of the league through the air. The come-from-behind...
DFS NFL Podcast – Week 9 Game by Game Game Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel

There is a lot more clarity heading into week 9 than there was in week 8, but that doesn't necessarily make it an easier one. There are a lot of close decisions at every position. How do we decide between Russell Wilson or Patrick Mahomes? What do we do if we lose the Texans game to Covid? At running back there is a glut of guys that look awfully similar. Do we lean into David Johnson, or do we try and get greedy with a play like Antonio Gibson or David Montgomery? Or can we move in the other direction, paying up for James Conner? Wide receiver doesn't get any easier, with a lack of cheap options really pressuring our budget. There are a handful of fun mid-range options like Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Tyler Lockett, but we might not have the money left over to afford it. Can we instead look to Marvin Jones Jr., Brandin Cooks, or even Sterling Shepard? There are a lot of nuanced conversations this week, and this is not a podcast you're going to want to miss. James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games for a much more sane week 9 on FanDuel and DraftKings. We have a lot of good options at quarterback this week, and it really comes down to fitting one into the price tier you're looking for. Whether it's Watson, Murray, or Herbert, it's going to be tough to feel too bad about where you land. Running back offers similar chalk options in Dalvin Cook and Chase Edmonds, but the potential third slot leaves something to be desired. The guys discuss the pros and cons of options like David Johnson and Antonio Gibson, while allowing for the possibility that a cheap play could come along and change things up considerably. Wide receiver has a few great options in Julio Jones and Brandin Cooks, with a lot of question marks around who goes in that third slot. Do we roll the dice on a cheap Detroit wide receiver, or bite the bullet and pay up elsewhere? Tight end basically comes down to a decision between paying up for Kelce or punting to a risky, touchdown-dependent option. The best of those appears to be TJ Hockenson given Golladay's absence, but the guys throw out other names like Noah Fant or Evan Engram as well. Love the DFSR podcast?
