Doug and James get their heads together for their exhaustive game by game breakdown for the week 3 main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. It's hard to remember a week more influenced by injuries, with big names across every position missing this week or done for the season. Not all punt plays are created equally, however, and the guys discuss the differences between grabbing back-ups for the Panthers, both New York teams, the 49ers, and more. Meanwhile, there are a number of wide receivers in new situations that we need to adjust. James and Doug talk about how they are readjusting their priors on guys like Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Evans, and the various rookie wide receivers. They also discuss a few interesting betting plays. All in all, this is not a podcast you want to miss. Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts. And our Week 3 Game-by-game podcast as well: Week 3 is a strange one for cash games, mostly because the plays seem very straight forward. A slew of running back injuries has left us with too many great punt options to choose from, with Jonathan Taylor, Jerick McKinnon, and Mike Davis all looking like great cash game options. When we have that much money left over we're basically just picking between big name stars at other positions. The guys discuss the choice between Cam Newton and Kyler Murray at quarterback, where it looks like site based pricing might be a deciding factor. Wide receiver lends itself to some interesting considerations as well, with the primary discussion trending around how much we can trust two weeks of stats this year versus stats from last year. Is Diontae Johnson the real deal? Can we expect Calvin Ridley to shoulder most of the targets in Atlanta? There is a lot to discuss. Finally the guys wrap things up at tight end, where we might have the luxury of paying up at tight end for the first (and perhaps last) time this season. Love the DFSR podcast? Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 3
Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 3 Week 2 was a sad one, with a veritable All-Pro team worth of players going down. Quarterbacks Kyler Murray FD 8400 DK 6800 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 24 DK - 24.79 It’s an embarrassment of riches at quarterback this week with a ton of upper-tier QBs in great spots. And we aren’t going to worry too much about having to pay a premium on the position. There’s just so much value at running back that we’ll be able to spend up at quarterback and wide receiver specifically. Let’s start with Murray who we recommended in cash games for last week. He was as good as promised with 286 yards and a touchdown through the air and another 67 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Through two weeks he leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards and is actually ninth overall in the NFL on the ground. He’s improved his accuracy, completing 67% of his passes and one has to assume the passing touchdowns tick up as the season goes on. The Lions have been one of the worst defenses in the league through two weeks and Murray is in another smash spot. Cam Newton FD 7700 DK 6700 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 23.23 DK - 24.02 Through two weeks, Cam Newton is sixth overall in DraftKings scoring with 32.14 points per game. It’s been a complete effort on his part, essentially contributing to every part of the Patriots’ offense. He is second overall in quarterback rushing yards (behind Murray) with 122 yards on the ground and his four rushing touchdowns lead the league. He’s also been ultra-efficient through the air with a 71% completion percentage and ranks sixth in yards per attempt. The Giants’ defense hasn’t been terrible to start the season, but they are going to have trouble keeping the ball out of opponents’ hands with Saquon Barkley now lost for the year. The Pats have the third-highest implied point total on the slate (behind Arizona and Dallas) and...

Week 2 NFL Betting Picks 9/17/20
Week 2 NFL Betting Strategy 9/17/20 Last week we gave out three bets in our Member’s only chat. BAL -7.5 (W), LAR +2.5 (W) and CAR +130 .5 units (L). This week let’s put some of them live. Want access to the projections that power these picks? START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Arizona CardinalsOpponent WASARI -6.5 Arizona handled some business on Sunday, taking down the 49ers on the road in one of the bigger upsets of opening weekend. Though was it really all that surprising? This is a team that worked to upgrade a major area of need (WR) in the offseason while giving up a guy who basically dragged them down while on the field (David Johnson). It was almost additional by subtraction just on the DJ part but they also got back a top 3 WR in football for their efforts. It paid off. Kyler Murray was even freer to be a playmaker with the Hopkins threat looming and a full season of Kenyan Drake is also a major upgrade. All of this plus they handled a major area of weakness, defending the pass, against an admittedly beat-up 49ers’ WR group. And the run defense was strong, holding Raheem Mostert to 3.7 yards per carry (15/56) after he finished at a 5.6 YPC clip in 2019. Meanwhile, Washington pulled off an upset win over the Eagles in Week 1 thanks in large part to continually pressuring a foot-in-cement Carson Wentz and facing an Eagles’ team that played with its third-string RB from the second quarter on. Dwayne Haskins was still a moderate mess (17/31 for 178 yards) and the running game averaged a putrid 2.2 yards per carry on 36 attempts. Washington is still a bad team and now need to fly across the country to play the Cardinals. This line appears a little too built on Washington's Week 1 win. Minnesota VikingsOpponent INDBet: Minnesota +3, Minnesota +142 (.5 units) What exactly did we see from the Colts that rate them as a three-point favorite against anyone, even if it is at home in Week 2? They lost Marlon Mack with an Achilles tear, admittedly not a line mover but not all that great from a top-down perspective. And they are coming off a Week 1 loss to a team who everyone universally agreed (except for them I suppose) would be the worst team in football this season, the Jacksonville Jaguars. The defense looked rough, allowing Gardner Minshew to complete...
