The Chiefs' young superstar is the undisputed king of the position this season, and it would take an act of God for anyone to catch him in the race for most fantasy points at the position. He's fully 40 (forty!) fantasy points ahead of Drew Brees for the top spot, and this match-up with Oakland should only extend his lead. The Raiders rank dead last in the NFL in terms of yards per attempt allowed, and now they are supposed to face the league's best passing attack? Best of luck, my dudes. The only issue with Mahomes, as always, is the price. There is a lot of value at other positions this week, so running Mahomes out there is a real possibility, and it will probably be the only time we recommend considering a QB at this price tag for the rest of the season. Jameis Winston FD 7500 DK 6000 Opponent CAR Proj Points FD - 22.3 DK - 22.3 Realistically, we'll probably end up going just a hair cheaper at quarterback this week. About 20% of the field took a chance on Jameis last week after he looked promising in taking over for Fitzpatrick in the Giants game, and he rewarded them with a 23 fantasy point performance on a very reasonable price tag. Winston is still a threat to take off on the ground, but real story of his 2018 campaign is his accuracy. His 67.8% completion rate is a full 4 points higher than his previous best, and he's improved his accuracy in every season since he came up. He seems to reliably be able to hook up with even his low efficiency receivers (like Evans), and the Bucs appear to have the tools to sustain this offensive production. The Panthers have been a slightly above average match-up for opposing quarterbacks this season, and the Bucs have a healthy 26.25 implied total in spite of being 3 points underdogs. I think we can confidently trot Winston out there once again....

There are a lot of close decisions this week with a number of players priced similarly with close to the same expectation. At quarterback, they discuss Tom Brady in the upper tier, Jared Goof (among others) in the middle tier and a bunch of cheap options on DraftKings. For instance, the 49ers will debut their big trade acquisition in Jimmy Garoppolo as they prepare for the future. Meanwhile, the Giants will trot out Geno Smith because, lolz. There are plenty of solid matchups this week and value at all stops along the salary tiers. Let's take a look at what Week 13 has to offer. Quarterback Quick note: I’m giving a few more recommendations than normal here because pricing really matters this week and the considerations are different for the different sites. Tom Brady FD 9300 DK 7800 Opponent BUF Proj Points FD - 23.37 DK - 23.93 Brady is the clear the top overall points option on the slate (doubly so on DK where both Carson Wentz and Russell Wilson aren’t available on the main slate). The only real question with Brady is whether you can absorb the high salaries. It’s close. Brady has thrown three or more touchdowns in each of the last three weeks, all blowouts. With the game on the road against Buffalo Vegas has it staying somewhat close (Pats -7.5) with New England sporting the highest implied total on the day. It should be said that Buffalo’s defense is much better against the pass than the run and that’s something of a concern. The Pats have been employing an RBBC and making some progress there so it’s not unreasonable to think they prey on Buffalo’s major weakness. But this is still Brady and they’ve also used the short passing game as de facto run in the past. I’m siding with Brady’s track record and the Vegas total here though paying all the way up for him could prove a little difficult with a few big money RBs available on this slate. Jared Goff FD 7900 DK 6700 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 19.51 DK - 20.66 The Rams have taken the leash off of Goff over the last few weeks. He’s attempted 37 or more passes in four of the last five games which is significant considering only one of them saw them playing from behind. They’ve looked to establish the pass...
