Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts FD 8000 DK 6800 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 23.92 DK - 24.78 The Eagles have the 4th-highest implied total on this main slate of games and the offense should be a pretty high-powered one this season. Hurts is coming in as a high-floor option seeing as how he now has an improved group of receiving weapons with the addition of AJ Brown and can take off running at any moment. Last season, Hurts was first among quarterbacks in rushing yards, putting up 784 yards on the ground in his 15 starts. The 61% completion percentage leaves some to be desired, but that should improve some this season. In terms of price, Hurts is coming as QB6 and QB5 on DraftKings and FanDuel respectively, putting him in a great place as a value play. Lamar Jackson FD 8500 DK 7300 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 24.79 DK - 25.66 In terms of just pure safety on a week-to-week basis, it’s hard to beat Lamar Jackson over the last few years. Because he isn’t reliant on touchdown variance, and runs as much as really any quarterback ever has, the floor is just so high time in and time out. He didn’t have the same passing success as 2020, but the returns were still excellent when he could stay on the field last season. He was QB6 in DraftKings points per game and one has to think the 16:13 TD:INT rate is something of a blip even if he isn’t the most prolific passer. Running Backs It sure looks like we are going to be rostering one or maybe even two expensive running backs on this slate. There will be some value at WR to offset some of the pricing. Jonathan Taylor FD 10200 DK 9100 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 21.4 DK - 22.77 You are paying through the nose, but it’s hard to find someone safer at the running back position. The Colts, with Matt Ryan no under center, are -8.5 road favorites against the Texans and it stands to reason they will lean on Taylor early and often. He was RB1 in fantasy last season despite not seeing a monster workload early in the year. But when he started taking all of the snaps, all of the points followed and he had...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Wild Card Weekend – Sunday Main Slate

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Wild Card Weekend - Sunday Main Slate Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time, we're offering a free one-week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL and NBA - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterback Patrick Mahomes FD 8700 DK 7400 Opponent PITProj Points FD - 24.7 DK - 25.26 Mahomes is projected significantly higher than any other quarterback on this slate, and it’s for good reason. After struggling a bit to start the season, especially in the interception department, that was all turned around late and he finished the season strong. Over the last five weeks, Mahomes threw 12 touchdowns to just one pick, completing more than 70% of his passes in the process. The Steelers have been a good defense against the pass this season, but the Chiefs are heavy favorites at home here and Mahomes clearly has the highest floor of this group. Dak Prescott FD 8000 DK 6400 Opponent SFProj Points FD - 17.64 DK - 18.29 We have Mahomes projected for significantly more than any other quarterback on this Sunday slate, so getting away from him in cash games isn’t a direction I’m going. But if that were the case, I think we can pivot to Dak Prescott who is coming $700 less on both sites. The Cowboys have the second-highest implied total on the slate at home against the 49ers. And Dad has been accurate of late, completing passes at more than a 70% clip over his last four games. He’s also got out and run a bit more in that stretch as well. Again, I much prefer Mahomes here, but lineups might be just a bit easier to build with Dak under center. Running Back Leonard Fournette FD 7300 DK 5900 Opponent PHIProj Points FD - 18.32 DK - 20.88 Fournette is fully healthy now and looks like he will take back over lead-back duties for the Buccaneers. In his last full week before the injury, Fournette played 80% of the snaps and touched the ball 26 times (19 carries, seven targets). He should get right back into a similar role against the Eagles and Tampa Bay is a -6.5 home favorite in this one. The price is palatable on Fournette here and I suspect he’s a popular play considering the circumstances. Elijah Mitchell FD 7400 DK 5500 Opponent DALProj Points FD - 15.7 DK - 16.25 This is a trickier slate when it comes to running back with a lot of the situations tough to trust. We do know that...

Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 18 Saturday Slate

Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 18 Saturday Slate The 2021 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered with content all week long. Earlier in the week, we covered our top cash game plays and also looked at all the relevant injuries and now it's time to look at some of the top stacks for GPP formats. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes FD 8500 DK 7500 Opponent DEN Proj Points FD - 24.16 DK - 24.7 We are usually talking about motivation for teams in the final week of the regular season but so many teams are either still fighting for a spot or positioning. The Chiefs are in the latter category as they come in as the #2 seed with a shot at the #1 but also a shot at finishing #3 or #4. The good news is the offense has really turned it up down the stretch as they have scored 30 or more points in four straight led by Mahomes who has thrown for 250+ yards and multiple touchdowns in each of those games. The matchup isn't that bad either as the Broncos come into the final week of the regular season ranked #20 in DVOA vs the pass. All things considered, Mahomes is my top play at the position on Saturday. Jalen Hurts FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 21.86 DK - 22.55 Both the Eagles and Cowboys have clinched a playoff berth but both can improve their seeding so I fully expect to see the starters throughout. I fully expect Dak to be higher owned as he easily has the better weapons so for GPP formats, I prefer a lower owned Hurts. While he hasn't been nearly as consistent as he was earlier in the season, he has still provided a nice floor with his legs alone and could be relied on even more in that department this week with Sanders out with injury and Scott/Howard on the Covid list. With a chance of being the third-highest owned QB on a two-game slate, I love the play for GPP formats. Running Back Darrel Williams FD 7000 DK 5900 Opponent DEN Proj Points FD - 15.76 DK - 18.07 With Edwards-Helaire ruled out for a second straight week, Darrel Williams will once again be the lead back for the Chiefs. He out-snapped Gore 49-8 last week and was terrific rushing 14 times for 88 yards(6.3 per...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 – Main Slate

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 - Main Slate Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time, we're offering a free one-week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL and NBA - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterback Jalen Hurts FD 7700 DK 6400 Opponent NYGProj Points FD - 22.63 DK - 23.33 The Eagles are facing off against the Giants this week and there is a lot to like about Jalen Hurts in this matchup. For starters, grabbing one of the better running quarterbacks in the game is always solid for keeping the fantasy-scoring floor very high. His 733 rushing yards on the season ranks him only behind Lamar Jackson at the quarterback position. Sure, the 14:9 TD:INT rate isn’t amazing, but that isn’t why you are rostering Hurts here. He has 10 rushing touchdowns on the season which is tied for fourth, overall, in the league behind only Jonathan Taylor, James Conner, and Joe Mixon. The Giants are terrible against the run though it’s worth noting that they were able to stymie Hurts some just a couple of weeks ago, forcing three interceptions. No matter, I think going back to the well is fine here in cash. Justin Herbert FD 8400 DK 7200 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 24.79 DK - 25.47 I think we can go up to a more expensive price point at the quarterback position on the main slate because of the savings we are going to get at running back. Herbert is having a near-identical season to his breakout rookie campaign and has thrown 32 touchdowns on a 66% completion percentage. A solid game would put him right at the same yardage last season. He faces off against a Houston team that does rank better against the pass than the run, but I still don’t think we are all that worried about it in this scenario. I do prefer Hurts for just a little cheaper but Herbert makes a strong play here. Running Back Ronald Jones II FD 5400 DK 5100 Opponent CARProj Points FD - 14.08 DK - 15.22 Jones is likely to be a chalk play this week with the news that Leonard Fournette had gone on IR. Last week, after Lenny went down, Jones played 22 snaps and touched the ball on 10 of them with eight carries and two targets. I do think that unlike Fournette, he will cede some of the passing downs to Ke'Shawn Vaughn, but in general, Jones should start the game out as the Bucs’ lead back. Tampa Bay...

Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 16 Christmas Day Slate

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers FD 8300 DK 7400 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 18.73 DK - 19.11 Take 2 for a Saturday slate as last weeks was blown up with the Browns game being pushed back to Monday due to Covid. Coincidentally, those same Browns are back in action this Saturday but this time facing the NFC's #1 seed in the Green Bay Packers. Leading the way is reigning MVP, Aaron Rodgers, who is also the current odds leader to win it again which would make him the first back-to-back winner since Peyton Manning(2008, 2009). While Rodgers has been great all season, he has been at his best in the short term throwing for over 300 yards in three of his last four games(325.3 avg) with a total of 12 touchdowns. In that time, he has scored 24 or more fantasy points in each game while averaging 30.6 DK/28.1 FD points per game. He now faces a short-handed Browns team that already ranks 23rd in DVOA against the pass. Look for Rodgers to deliver gifts to all the fantasy players who roster him. He is easily my top quarterback on this slate. Also Consider: Kyler Murray(ARI) as a GPP pivot off Rodgers or Backer Mayfield(CLE) who is slated to return this week and is the cheapest QB on the slate Running Back Jonathan Taylor FD 10500 DK 8300 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 22.98 DK - 24.43 While the MVP race likely comes down to a battle between veteran quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, Jonathan Taylor is most definitely making his case and not that far off sitting at +800 right now. He comes into Week 16 tallying 100 or more yards rushing in seven of his last nine games(132.3 avg) and has totaled 97 or more yards from scrimmage in 11 straight(146.6 avg).  & BUF). That alone has me feeling a lot better about this below-average matchup against the Cardinals who rank 8th overall in DVOA against the rush. Believe it or not, there is even a path to playing a...
