Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 9500 DK 8500 Opponent CHIProj Points FD - 26.83 DK - 26.83 Any concern about Josh Allen’s fantasy upside over the last few games was erased in Week 15 when the dude went nuclear once again. Playing the Dolphins on Saturday night, Allen threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns while also adding another 77 yards on the ground. It was a clutch performance in the win against the Dolphins. This week he gets the Bears who rank 31st in defensive DVOA on the season and are equally bad against both the run and the pass. Buffalo has clinched a playoff spot, but they are still in the hunt for a first-round bye so it’s likely they will keep the foot on the gas for the rest of the regular season. Patrick Mahomes FD 9200 DK 8400 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 26.23 DK - 26.23 As we suggested last week, it’s going to pay to spend up at quarterback on this main slate of games. With Jalen Hurts on the shelf, that leaves us with Allen and Patrick Mahomes to decide between. Mahomes trails Hurts by just a couple of decimal points in DraftKings scoring this season and has thrown for 320+ yards in eight of the last nine games. Seattle is a bottom-third defense on the season and the 48.5 total is the highest over/under on the slate. I suspect Mahomes, coming a bit cheaper than Allen, will have a lot of ownership here and it’s for good reason. Running Backs Christian McCaffrey FD 9400 DK 8800 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 25.14 DK - 28.58 At this point in the season, it’s going to make the most sense to target the superstar situations which are most clear in terms of opportunity. That’s for sure the case for Christian McCaffrey who, without Deebo Samuel, is the workhorse in every sense of the word for San Francisco. He’s coming off a week playing 89% of the snaps and touching the ball a whopping 34 times (26 carries, 8 targets) while racking up 138 total yards and a touchdown. Few other running backs are going to see anywhere close to this usage on a week-to-week basis. The 49ers are playing for seeding here and with...

Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 9000 DK 8300 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 23.59 DK - 23.59 This slate is a little weak at quarterback on Saturday which has us spending right up for Josh Allen who is the class of the position. He has been a little more up and down in the second half of the season but we really like here is the elite floor he provides as a mobile quarterback. Heis fourth in rushing attempts per game(7.6) among quarterbacks and I would bet on the over this week with the expected weather approaching Buffalo. He comes in with eight or more rush attempts in three straight with 10 rush attempts and at least 47 rushing yards and a touchdown in two of those. He also faces a Dolphins defence that has allowed the 2nd most rushing yards and the 4th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Allen is our top quarterback and a building block in all formats. Matt Ryan FD 6900 DK 5200 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 15.89 DK - 15.89 Things get really dicey after Allen so I am going to defer not only to the cheapest quarterback on the board but also to the one with the best matchup. Ryan has been a boom-or-bust option this season but the good news is that he knows how to attack bad defences which has led to him tallying 20 or more fantasy points four times. That upside is most definitely there again this week as he goes up against a Vikings defence that has given up 400+ total yards in five straight games including 300+ yard passing in each of those. He also has a nice core of Pittman, Campbell, and Pierce to throw to and all things considered, is my top value QB on this slate. Running Backs Jonathan Taylor FD 9000 DK 7200 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 19.54 DK - 20.82 How many Colts is too many? That is the question most are asking themselves after watching the Vikings give up 400+ total yards for the 5th straight week. They are are dream matchup at every position as one of just four teams to rank 19th or...

Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes FD 9100 DK 8100 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 27.82 DK - 27.82 The Chiefs are huge favorites here against the Texans, and for good reason. Though Houston put up a valiant effort against the Cowboys last week, this is still one of the worst teams in the league. And KC should be able to step on the gas early and often. They have, as a team, run the ball a bit more of late with Pacheco which is a concern with Mahomes ceiling if the game starts getting out of hand, but he’s a tough fade in this matchup considering he has 400+ more passing yards than the next-closest guy and his 33 touchdowns are six more than the next-closest. Jalen Hurts FD 9000 DK 8200 Opponent CHIProj Points FD - 26.47 DK - 26.47 If you’re not going to play the runner up in the MVP odds right now, you might as well play the favorite. That’s kind of where we are with the quarterback situation on this slate, and in some ways, Hurts is in an even better spot than Mahomes. He’s playing the Bears who have the leagues worst defensive DVOA on the season, coming in terrible against both the run and the pass. This is a smash spot for Hurts whose 10 rushing touchdowns ranks first among quarterbacks. Plus he has a 22:3 TD: INT rate on the season, making him just about as efficient as it gets for a quarterback. It’s a close call between these two QBs but I do think you should play one of them in cash. Running Backs Miles Sanders FD 7800 DK 6500 Opponent CHIProj Points FD - 16.52 DK - 17.63 There’s definitely a world where we are just stacking a couple of the best teams in cash and calling it a day. Miles Sanders helps some with that if you want to lean on the Eagles’ running attack to get you all the way home. Somewhat quietly, Sanders is fifth in the league in rushing yards on the season and his 11 rushing touchdowns are tied for third in the league. The price on both sites is right in range of acceptable and like we said with Hurts, the matchup against the Bears is about...

Game Stack - Vikings @ Lions Jared Goff FD 7100 DK 5600 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 19.16 DK - 19.16 Amon-ra St. Brown FD 8600 DK 7800 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 21.19 DK - 26.19 T.J. Hockenson FD 6500 DK 5100 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 10.94 DK - 13.65 Hard not to start with a game that currently sits with the second-highest total(53.5) of the entire season as Vegas is clearly expecting a track meet and it makes sense as this is one of two games that features two teams ranked Top 10 in pace. I will have several different core builds in this game but a majority of them will center around the passing game. At quarterback, it starts with Jared Goff who has been more consistent lately and comes cheaper than Cousins on both sites. He is also coming off one of his best games of the season throwing for 340 yards and two touchdowns in a blowout win against the Jags. He now gets a great matchup against a Vikings defense that has given up 300+ yards passing in four straight weeks, ranks 24th in DVOA against the pass, and 26th in fantasy points against quarterbacks. I love pairing him with his #1 option in Amon-Ra St. Brown who is back to elite status with eight or more targets in six straight games(average 10) while catching 80% of them for 555 yards and he has also scored three touchdowns in his last two games. He does move around the field quite a bit pre-snap, but has run over 50% of his routes in the slot and gets a great matchup against the Vikings who have not only allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to wideouts but have also allowed the 7th most receiving yards in the slot. We could double-stack this one in hopes of Detroit trailing in the second half but the waters are muddied a bit with Jameson Williams now in the mix. In the lineups where I double stack, I lean towards D.J. Chark who scored a...

Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 8700 DK 8300 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 25.49 DK - 25.49 It’s tough to know what to do with Josh Allen right now. He injured his arm a few weeks ago and the last three games, from a fantasy perspective, have been a bit rough. In that stretch, he’s averaged just 224 yards passing per game. And the Bills have made a bit more of a commitment to the run. But that’s also meant a price drop for the QB and this is still the second-highest fantasy-scoring player on DraftKings overall this season. The matchup against the Jets isn’t ideal but the Bills are -9.5 favorites at home and would really like to win this game. I think I am fine running him on the past performance and the upside, but recognize that there is some risk here. Joe Burrow FD 8300 DK 7000 Opponent CLEProj Points FD - 23.06 DK - 23.06 Burrow is coming a touch cheaper than the top-tier quarterback group this week and that could really work out to our advantage in this game against the Browns. This one has the second-highest over/under of the entire slate and Bengals are favored against Deshaun Watson and company. With Ja'Marr Chase returning last week and Joe Mixon back this week, the Bengals have a full complement of weapons and Burrow has a very high floor with about as high an upside of anyone in the game. Cleveland is the 27th-ranked defense in football this season, though they are worse against the run than the pass. Regardless, I like Burrow here especially if Cincy is going to keep its foot on the gas. Jared Goff FD 7100 DK 5600 Opponent MINProj Points FD - 18.9 DK - 18.9 The 5-7 Lions are -1 favorites at home against the 10-2 Vikings and the latter doesn’t have any major injuries. We live in weird and wild times. Goff has real upside if this game gets into a shootout and is coming cheap enough on DraftKings to live with the fact that he doesn’t get out and run really at all. He’ll need to be a high-volume passer which is a bit risky, especially if the Lions get out to a lead here. But he...
