Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 9200 DK 7900 Opponent LVProj Points FD - 26.3 DK - 26.3 Josh Allen struggled in Week 1 against the Jets in a game that was wild literally from beginning to end. Concerns about Allen’s weak finish to last season didn’t really dissipate here with the QB going 29/41 for just 236 yards, a touchdown, and three picks. Now, that Jets defense might just be out of this world this season so we can possibly take the performance with a relative grain of salt. Here he’ll face the Raiders in what will be a decidedly softer matchup. The Bills have the highest implied total on the main slate at 28 and Allen should be in line for a major bounceback here. It’s a bit risky because of the price, but everything else lines up. Anthony Richardson FD 7500 DK 6300 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 21.84 DK - 21.84 The major concern with Anthony Richardson going into Week 1 was whether the passing could hold up enough to really give him major upside in his first game. Though he was *just* 24/37 for 223 yards, the Colts showed a willingness to let him drop back and that’s a great sign. He also got out and ran 10 times for 40 yards with the latter number seemingly on the low end for this many attempts. The Texans' defense isn’t good here and Indy is actually -1 road favorites here. The price on Richardson, on DraftKings, is still too low and he offers a fantastic cash game floor. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 9500 DK 8900 Opponent LARProj Points FD - 22.8 DK - 25.82 Any concern the 49ers would take is easy on CMC or manage the workload for a long season was dispelled in Week 1 when he played 85% of the snap and combined for 27 total touches (22 carries, 5 targets). These were three more than the next-closest guy (Miles Sanders-24). Now San Fran is -8 road favorites going into Los Angeles to face the Rams. The floor is just so high on CMC here and the opportunity is basically better than anyone else in the league all while being in a high-powered offense. He’s worth the salary in this spot. Travis Etienne Jr. FD 8200 DK 6900 Opponent KCProj Points FD - 17.07 DK - 19.05 Travis Etienne played a whopping...

Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson FD 8900 DK 8000 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 27.87 DK - 27.87 Zay Flowers FD 5500 DK 4000 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 6.95 DK - 8.53 The Ravens enter week one as the biggest favourites on the slate in a terrific home matchup against the Texans who are projected to be a bottom 5-10 defense in 2023. The chalk play in this game is likely targeting the run game with Dobbins who is priced in the mid-tier going up against the league-worst rush defense a year ago. Lamar is likely to get some traction here as well as an elite rushing quarterback but if looking for an upside stack for GPP, I love pairing him with rookie Zay Flowers who has flashed that upside in pre-season. While it appeared he was buried on the depth chart, OBJ and Bateman are coming off surgeries, and leading receiver Mark Andrews has been held out of practice with an undisclosed issue. The price is cheap on Flowers allowing us to afford his QB and pair him one or two elite running backs and wide receivers. Chicago Bears Justin Fields FD 8300 DK 7700 Opponent GB Proj Points FD - 20.13 DK - 20.13 DJ Moore FD 6300 DK 6100 Opponent GB Proj Points FD - 9.22 DK - 11.42 While I expect Lamar and any Ravens pass catcher you stack with hi to be chalky in week one, the Bears and Justin Fields could come in low-owned making them one of my top GPP leverage stacks this week. First of all, we get to lock in a solid floor with Fields rushing ability as he not only led all quarterbacks in 2022 but was also 7th overall in rushing yards at any position. The Bears also knew their weakness going into the offseason(1st in rushing and 32nd in passing) as they went out and got DJ Moore via trade leading up the draft. While we have only seen pieces...

Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8900 DK 8000 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 23.3 DK - 23.3 Lamar Jackson settled his contract dispute during the off-season is back leading what looks to be a top offense in the NFL season. The Ravens added new weapons through the draft and free agency while also upgrading the offensive coordinator position now that Todd Monken has the reins. It should lead to a lot of scoring from this group and they come in as -10 favorites at home against the Texans. The floor is incredibly high here for Jackson who should still have all of the same rushing floor while also adding significant upside in the passing game that we’ve only seen in fits and starts over the last few years. Of the elite group of QBs, he is priced just a tick below and is clearly right in the same tier. Sam Howell FD 7100 DK 4900 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 18.81 DK - 18.81 Sam Howell started only one game last season and it was in the final week against the Cowboys. But in that one, he showed some glimpses of why he’s seen as something of a fantasy sleeper this season. The 11-19 for 169 yards was meh, but the five rushes for 35 yards and a touchdown is where his bread could get buttered. Howell ran a ton (a ton!) in college, racking up more than 800 yards on the ground in his final season at North Carolina. And that should translate here. Plus, he draws one of the week’s best matchups against a terrible Cardinals team that might have already packed it in before the season even starts. At $4900 on DraftKings, Howell has a high floor at punt QB pricing and allows for tons of roster flexibility. Running Back Austin Ekeler FD 9000 DK 8400 Opponent MIAProj Points FD - 19.74 DK - 23.32 In 2022, Austin Ekeler was first among running backs in receiving targets (127) and sixth in overall RB usage. Oh, and he finished RB1 in DraftKings scoring as well. In Week 1, the Chargers, who have Kellen Moore now as the OC, will square off against the Dolphins in the game with (easily) the biggest total of the main slate at...

Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes FD 9200 DK 8000 Opponent JAXProj Points FD - 27.46 DK - 27.46 With the best fantasy quarterbacks going this weekend, it’s going to be tough deciding who to roster on DraftKings and FanDuel. Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts were QBs 1, 2, and 3 in DraftKings scoring this season with the three separated by only decimal points on a point-per-game basis. It makes for somewhat tough coin-flippy territory for this weekend’s slate of games. As a tie-breaker, the Chiefs have the highest implied total and we know that they will have Mahomes airing it out early and often. From a strategic standpoint, Mahomes can get there even without a WR1 like the others have and even though he does run less than the rest of the group, the floor is still very high here. Jalen Hurts FD 9000 DK 7600 Opponent NYGProj Points FD - 26.47 DK - 26.47 Hurts has had multiple weeks to get healthy here and gets a fantastic matchup against the Giants in the Divisional Round. It wasn’t good in Week 18, but that was after he’d sat for weeks leading into the game. Like we’ll get into with Miles Sanders, a better proxy is the game on December 11th which saw him throw for 211 yards and two touchdowns, while also piling up 77 yards and a score on the ground as well. The Giants let it up on the ground to opposing teams and the Eagles are built to take advantage there. Stacking Hurts and Sanders on this slate makes a lot of sense. Running Backs Christian McCaffrey FD 9200 DK 8000 Opponent DALProj Points FD - 21.08 DK - 23.48 As long as the San Francisco 49ers are in the playoffs, Christian McCaffrey is going to be a tough fade. He’s just too explosive, and too integral to the San Fran offense that there’s just almost no scenario, short of them completely crushing teams, where he’s going to be out of the mix. On a full PPR site like DraftKings where he’s $8K it’s kind of a no-brainer to play him especially considering the state of the running back position going into this weekend. On FanDuel it’s a little closer especially with the 49ers’ touchdown equity so spread out, but he’s a play there as well....

Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 9200 DK 7900 Opponent MIAProj Points FD - 24.99 DK - 24.99 This almost doesn’t feel like a playoff game with the way the Dolphins are coming into Buffalo. It’s unclear who will play quarterback and it’s also unclear how they stand a chance at all against the Bills. That being said, we do know what we are getting on the other side of the ball and that’s one of the most dangerous passing attacks out there when things are rolling right. To some degree that was on display against the Patriots on Sunday with the Bills needing to win to secure their seeding. Allen went for 254 yards and three touchdowns on 31 attempts. It hasn’t been great over the second half of the season, but if the rushing attempts are going to stay in the 8-9 range then he has as high a floor (and ceiling) as anyone out there. Daniel Jones FD 7400 DK 5600 Opponent MINProj Points FD - 21.51 DK - 21.51 The Giants are only +3 dogs going into Minnesota for this Wild Card game and Daniel Jones is a big reason why. He’s been among the surprise fantasy upside quarterbacks this season, combining just enough in the passing attack (to total dustball WRs) with the ability to get out and run when necessary. Two weeks ago against these same Vikings, Jones threw for 334 yards and a touchdown. Plus, over the course of the season, he’s averaged 44 yards per game on the ground. The latter could really be there this week in a great game environment and the Giants playing for their lives. At his pricing, I suspect he sees heavy ownership, especially on DraftKings. Running Backs Saquon Barkley FD 8800 DK 7900 Opponent MINProj Points FD - 19.08 DK - 21.36 On DraftKings, Saquon Barkley makes for a tough fade here seeing as how he’s somewhat game-script independent because of how the Giants use him in the offense. The blowout to Philly in Week 13 was the only game in which he saw fewer than 16 touches and he averaged 23.2 (carries + targets) over the course of the season. Here he’ll face a 27th (27th!!) ranked Minnesota defense that was well below average against both the pass and the run (worse against the...
