James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash game plays for week 13 on FanDuel and DraftKings. The NFL is nothing if not strange right now, with COVID causing us to have a tightened schedule for Sunday's games. As a result, we have a thinner slate than usual to draw our plays from. Quarterback presents some interesting options, all with their own flaws, with Russell Wilson, Justin Herbert, and Taysom Hill leading the pack for us right now. Running back has one automatic play in Austin Ekeler, and then several speculative options. Dalvin Cook will be highly owned if he gets a clean bill of health, but after that, we're monitoring a number of situations to see if any cheap value springs loose. Wide receiver is probably the best value spot of the week, with Michael Thomas and Brandin Cooks being far too cheap for their current opportunity, and even guys like Keke Coutee if you want to go deep into punts. Tight end gives us decent midrange options in Hunter Henry and Evan Engram, and little else, so it looks like that position is fairly locked in right now. Love the DFSR podcast? It’s been that way most of the season and Week 13 is no different. Wilson is QB3 on the season behind only Mahomes and Murray thanks to his obvious skill and Seattle’s insistence on keeping other teams in the game. This week he gets a cake matchup against the Giants who rank 20th overall on defense and 25th against the pass. This is a smash spot for the Seahawks who come in as big, -10, favorites. The only concern here with Russ is Seattle gets going early, can keep a Colt McCoy-led offense in check and just grind it out on the ground. But he still has such a high floor it’s tough to imagine him sinking you either. Justin Herbert FD 7900 DK 6900 Opponent NE Proj Points FD - 23.06 DK - 24.24 Herbert’s 26.1 DraftKings points per game rank him fourth in the league in one of the truly surprising seasons we’ve seen from a rookie in quite some time. The price has come up requisitely but he’s still a guy to target this week. The Patriots defense is one of the worst in the league ranking 31st and 30th against the pass. Herbert has 40 or more passing attempts in six of his last seven games thanks to the Chargers often playing from behind. And he’s got another weapon back with Austin Ekeler fully off the IR. The issue with Herbert isn’t the defensive matchup but rather New England’s pace. Because they just grind the clock out on the ground, they allow (by far) the fewest opponent plays per game. But like Wilson the floor is high enough for Herbert here. Taysom Hill FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 20.69 DK - 21.34 Hill runs back a matchup from two weeks ago when he debuted as the Saints’ signal caller with Drew Brees hitting the IR. Things started slow, but it didn’t take long for him to start racking up points. He ended up as one of the plays of the day throwing for 233 yards but more importantly, putting in 49 yards on the ground...

Head on over and check out what they have to offer. Tennessee Titans Opponent CLETitans -6 This line started at -4.5 (which we got in early on) and then climbed to -6 in the span of about 36 hours. It isn’t enough. The way things are trending, you’ll likely be able to get it at -5.5 when you read this. That works too obviously. The thing here is the Browns are the biggest smoke and mirrors team in the NFL. They are 8-3 with a negative point differential. Read that again: They are 8-3 and have been outscored by 21 points this season. The reason for this is they have played the second-easiest schedule in the league. They have one win against a team with a record of better than .500 (the Colts). When they’ve played actual *good* teams, like the Ravens and Steelers, they’ve been smoked. They rank 19th in defense, non-schedule adjusted which is a travesty considering their offensive opponents have ranked their D as the second-easiest schedule. Should I keep going here? Sure, Tennessee’s defense is no great shakes, but the offense ranks 3rd overall. The Browns are average or below on both sides of the ball. Absolutely love the Titans here not giving enough because the opponent has a mirage of a record. San Francisco 49ers Opponent BUF49ers +2.5 The 49ers have played most of the season without their original starting quarterback and have had basically every running back get hurt at some point. They’ve had injuries on the defensive end as well with guys like Richard Sherman just coming off the IR last week. And yet, in spite of bad runs all around on the injury front and a 5-6 record on the season, they still have a positive (+7) point differential. That’s because the coaching is among (or just is) the best in the league. This week is a little weird with the 49ers having to move out of California and into Arizona because of COVID-related regulations. After three-straight tough games against the Seahawks, Packers, and Saints they pulled out a win over the Rams in Week 12. San Fran has the 9th-ranked defensive DVOA on the season and have held opponents to 20 or fewer points in eight of their 11 games this season. Meanwhile, the Bills has merely a +17 point differential despite playing the 19th most difficult schedule (SF is 6th...
Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Leverage Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 12
Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Leverage Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 12 The 2020 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered in every area. Earlier in the week, we covered Cash Game Plays, our Top Bets, and looked at Injury Report. Running Back The Chalk - Wayne Gallman, Salvon Ahmed The Pivot Nyheim Hines FD 5700 DK 4600 Opponent TEN Proj Points FD - 9.04 DK - 10.73 I will start off with a perfect example of recency bias and how we can attack it in GPP formats. At his highest ownership of the season last week(12-13% in GPP), Hines let everyone down with just 33 total yards and eight fantasy points. He is now in the same price range as projected chalk value running backs Wayne Gallman and Salvon Ahmed which should easily have his ownership back down in the 5% range and if that's the case, I definitely want a piece of the action. He went off two weeks ago against these very Titans and at these prices has hit 4x or greater value on DraftKings three times. It is a crowded backfield but the low ownership also means we don't need a ton of exposure to get leverage on the field. Wide Receiver The Chalk - Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, Justin Jefferson The Pivot Calvin Ridley FD 8100 DK 7100 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 15.33 DK - 18.39 The wide receiver position provides us an excellent opportunity for leverage in top tier as Calvin Ridley sits right in the middle of multiple chalk plays in terms of pricing. He made his return last week against a very good Saints defense adn caught five of nine targets for 90 yards. He and teh Falcons now get a home matchup vs. the Raiders in a game with the second-highest total(55) on the slate. As for the matchup, the Raiders have allowed the 12th most receiving yards and 15th most fantasy points to the wide receiver position. Since the game when the Raiders completely shut down the Browns, things have gotten worse as they have given up the following to the opponents top pass catchers over the last three weeks:...
DFS NFL Podcast – Week 12 game by game podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel
DFS NFL Podcast - Week 12 game by game podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Enjoy our week 12 NFL game by game podcast, where Doug and James tell you all you need to know about the games on the main slate for NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings. James and Doug are back to break down every game on the main slate of FanDuel and DraftKings for week 12. For a three-game slate, Thanksgiving presents us with a number of solid cash game options. We've got Watson holding it down at quarterback, Zeke and (hopefully) Swift at running back, and a number of reasonable receivers between Pittsburgh, Houston, and even Washington. We're keeping an eye on the Baltimore/Pittsburgh game to make sure it goes, of course, but it doesn't look like a bad slate all things considered. Sunday's slate is actually fairly robust as well, since there are no more byes for the rest of the season. We have two strong quarterback options in Josh Allen and Kyler Murray, with a little Taysom Hill if we wind up needing some savings on DraftKings. Running back is probably the most difficult position to break down at this point, with Salvon Ahmed being the only truly exciting option available at this point. We're hoping to be able to run Kalen Ballage, but we need to keep an eye on the potential Austin Ekeler return. Wide receiver is very deep this week, if a bit expensive. It will be tough to decide between Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Tyreek Hill - and it's going to be tough to pay for all three of them. All in all there is much to discuss, so don't miss the DFSR boys breaking it all down! Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts.
