Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 9500 DK 7800 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 27.11 DK - 27.11 This game has the second-highest total on the slate, and Lamar Jackson has been the best fantasy player in the NFL this season. Do we need much more explanation than that? Probably not. Through five games, Lamar has eight touchdowns through the air and three on the ground. He’s completing 66% of his passes and the 53 rushing attempts are second among QBs. The Commanders are a bottom-third defense and are second-worst in the league in opponent yards per rushing attempts. This is a dream spot for Jackson. Jordan Love FD 8500 DK 6600 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 21.84 DK - 21.84 More of a DraftKings play than FanDuel because of the pricing, I do like Jordan Love in this matchup against the Cardinals. Arizona owns the 7th-worst defensive DVOA in the league this season, and this game’s 47.5 total is the third-highest of the slate. I do wish Love ran a bit more just to provide a safer floor, but the Packers should be able to work against this defense. Running Back Saquon Barkley FD 9200 DK 8200 Opponent CLEProj Points FD - 20.65 DK - 22.07 We want to target running backs at home as big favorites. That’s the case with Saquon Barkley who’s very expensive but is also coming off the bye in Week 6. He ranks 10th in rushing attempts despite playing one fewer game than everyone above him on the list. And he’s seeing plenty of work in the passing game as well. In the right game script, he’s a smash play against an average Cleveland defense. Derrick Henry FD 9100 DK 8000 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 19.43 DK - 20.08 It’s expensive, but stacking Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson in cash games would appear to have a tremendous floor, especially considering what the Commanders let up on the ground this season. Only the Bills are allowing more rushing yards per play. Henry has averaged 20.5 carries per game over the last four, putting up a crazy 526 yards in that stretch. He hasn’t lost a step, and this is a sick spot. Rico Dowdle FD 6100 DK 5900 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 12.21 DK - 13.87 It sure looks like he’s the RB1 in Dallas, and Ezekiel Elliott is looking increasingly old. He carried...

Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8800 DK 7700 Opponent KCProj Points FD - 26.43 DK - 26.43 Lamar Jackson showed last week that his particular fantasy upside translated just fine (again) to a playoff atmosphere. He completed 73% of his passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, which doesn’t look like much. But then you add in the 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and now you are really cooking. Things will be a bit tougher against a Chiefs defense that’s much better than Houston’s. But overall, this is the spot to pay up and roster Jackson on a shorter slate. His floor is just so much higher than any other quarterback going, and it isn’t like the price is completely out of whack, even with the lack of overall roster options. We typically don’t just roll one quarterback here, but again, Lamar Jackson is so far above the rest of the group that I’m hesitant to tout anyone else for cash games. Brock Purdy, considering the matchup, would be the guy. But he looked shaky last week and there’s a chance the 49ers are playing without Deebo Samuel. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 11000 DK 9000 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 28.33 DK - 30.62 Regarding spend-up options, you have to start cash games with Lamar Jackson + Christian McCaffrey and do business with whatever is left. These two are so far ahead of the field in terms of projection for a short slate that it’s almost laughable. With Deebo Samuel banged up early in the Divisional Round, CMC was everything for the 49ers, racking up 17 carries, 98 yards, and two touchdowns on the ground while also leading the team in targets for a 7/30 line through the air. The gap between him and the RB2 (on the fantasy slate) here is the same as the gap between the RB2 and someone who doesn’t play. He will be the highest-owned player for a reason. Fade at your own risk. Jahmyr Gibbs FD 7000 DK 6400 Opponent SFProj Points FD - 15.56 DK - 17.13 Choosing between the 49ers running backs, David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs can be tough on a game-by-game basis because of how these two are used. Namely, they split duties and sometimes can end up meeting in the fantasy middle. I’m going with the idea here that the Lions are playing from behind...

Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8700 DK 7900 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 22.22 DK - 22.22 Lamar Jackson has been off for a couple of weeks now, so I suppose there’s some concern about too much rust. But there’s also a ton of rest in there as well, and at this point in the NFL season, that can really mean a lot. The Ravens are -9.5 home favorites here against the Texans with Lamar coming a bit cheaper than Josh Allen for this Divisional Round. He was second among quarterbacks in rush attempts on the season, completed passes at a career-high 67% rate, and had a 24:7 TD: INT. Plus, he’s getting Mark Andrews back for this game as well, giving him yet another weapon. Jackson has a very high floor in this game. Baker Mayfield FD 7300 DK 6000 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 18.11 DK - 18.11 Though the Bucs are underdogs here, there are reasons to like Baker Mayfield as a cash game play. The Lions have let it up to opposing quarterbacks this season, ranking 30th in yards per pass attempt and 27th in passing yards per game allowed. The dome conditions will play fast here no matter what and it stands to reason Tampa is playing from behind. At worst, they are going to need to try to hold serve with a high-powered Lions offense. Mayfield threw for 337 yards against the Eagles in the Wild Card round and, over his last six games, has gone for 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 10800 DK 8800 Opponent GBProj Points FD - 24.96 DK - 26.86 When it comes to running backs, we are looking for home favorites, in good offenses with guys who handle all three downs. Check, check, and check with Christian McCaffrey. He led the NFL in overall usage (carries + targets) with 355 total touches. That was 13 more than the next-closest running back (Rachaad White) despite playing one whole game less. It was a remarkable season from the workhouse back. With a couple of weeks off now, it stands to reason he will see a big workload once again. The Packers were among the worst in the league in opponents rushing yards per game on the season. Plus, they ranked 23rd in opponents' yards per rush. This is a smash spot for CMC. He should be...

Quarterbacks Dak Prescott FD 8600 DK 7600 Opponent GBProj Points FD - 22.54 DK - 22.54 The Cowboys are in a great spot this Wild Card weekend, facing off against the Packers at home as -7.5 favorites with a 50.5 total. There could be a lot of points here, considering Green Bay comes in with the fifth-worst defensive DVOA in the league. Plus, the weather won’t be in the way it could be with some other games. Dak finished the season with over 4,500 passing yards and a 36:9 TD: INT rate. It was an awesome season and he isn’t even the most expensive quarterback on the slate. This is a great spot, and I expect him to be a popular play. Jordan Love FD 7600 DK 6300 Opponent DALProj Points FD - 17.96 DK - 17.96 Jordan Love poured it on at the end of the season, throwing nine touchdowns and zero interceptions over the final four weeks of the season. He averaged right around 270 passing yards per game in that stretch, with the Packers winning three of their final four to get into the playoffs. Plus, he’ll have Christian Watson back in the mix, giving him a full complement of weapons on Sunday. Dallas has been a good defense this season for sure, but on a weekend that features some iffy outdoor weather, getting quarterbacks in dome environments should be the priority. Along with Dak, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, and Matthew Stafford all fit the bill here and are all coming in the same price tier. Running Back Aaron Jones FD 7000 DK 6300 Opponent DALProj Points FD - 18.27 DK - 20.21 Aaron Jones has finally been unleashed, and the last few weeks have been a testament to what he can do when he is A: healthy and B: given a full workload. Over that span, Jones is averaging 21 carries a game and 119 yards on the ground. Plus, he’s totaled nine targets and 58 yards through the air. It’s been amazing. We can ride this hot hand into the playoffs against the Cowboys. Dallas can be run on. I think the Packers will lean heavily this way for the Wild Card round. Tony Pollard FD 7800 DK 6100 Opponent GBProj Points FD - 16.04 DK - 17.79 Tony Pollard finally did something! That’s right, after weeks (and kind of a season) of struggles...
Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 18 Main Slate 1/7/23

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Dak Prescott FD 8700 DK 8000 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 24.64 DK - 24.64 Week 18 always offers some of the trickier DFS situations because teams’ motivations are all over the place, with some sitting, some going all-out, and some kind of in between. The Dallas Cowboys fall into the all-out category with a chance to win the NFC East. That should mean a ton of passes from Dak Prescott against the Washington Commanders and one of the worst defenses in the entire league. It’s a dream spot for Dak Prescott who has put up some awesome numbers this season, completing 68% of his passes for 4,237 yards and a 32:8 TD:INT rate. The price is up there, but the floor might be the highest of any QB on the slate. Justin Fields FD 8400 DK 7200 Opponent GBProj Points FD - 22.08 DK - 22.08 The Bears aren’t playing for anything here, though this could be one final audition for Justin Fields to remain the starting quarterback into next season. They already have the #1 pick via the Panthers, so they are in a bit of house money territory against the Packers. This could be play spoiler territory, and I love the floor on Fields, who has been completing passes efficiently enough and still runs as much as any quarterback in the game. Coming cheaper than Dak with the ground game as a floor-raiser, I do like this spot for Fields, especially on DraftKings. Tyrod Taylor FD 7000 DK 5300 Opponent PHIProj Points FD - 18.69 DK - 18.69 Going on the cheaper side of things, we get Tyrod Taylor who was a popular DraftKings play in Week 17 and could be one again this time around. The Giants aren’t playing for much besides spoiler, but that’s what they did last week against the Rams where Taylor was fantasy gold at these price points. He threw for 319 yards and a touchdown while also running six times for 40 yards. Now he’ll get an Eagles’ defense that’s been an absolute sieve of late, giving it up to Kyler Murray and the Cardinals just last week. This is another good spot for Taylor and the Giants. Running Back Tony Pollard FD 7600 DK 6500 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 17.55 DK - 19.98 Oof, can we really do it again? I think we can do it...
