Raptors (-13) vs. Nets (+13) The theme of the day is going to be changing spreads, which starts with Vegas giving the Nets 2.5 more points than they did going into game three. It's hard to blame the oddsmakers, though. The Raptors absolutely stomped the Nets in game three, and it looks like one of the feel-good stories of the bubble is about to come to an end. The Nets really have fought valiantly with what we were calling the "G-League Nets" throughout the bubble, but going up against the defending champs playing at max motivation has proven too much so far. But can we get some DFS value here anyway? We'll start with the world champion Raptors, who have made this look awfully easy. Throughout the series the Raps have basically stuck with their normal rotations in spite of point spreads, but they finally yielded to their back-ups when the yield was firmly cemented in the 20s in game three. Cash game stalwarts like OG Anunoby (FD $4700 DK $4500), Fred Vanvleet (FD $7800 DK $7700), and Kyle Lowry (FD $8200 DK $8100) are still playable in what remains a great match-up, but only Lowry paid value before the starters were pulled in game three. If you think the Raptors keep the pedal down to end this series you might sneak a few more minutes out of them here, but the blowout risk at least has to be considered. On the Nets side of the ball, I think you can get a lot more safety. We saw the starters play their full run of minutes in game three, and with plenty of time to rest if they get eliminated I believe Jacque Vaughn will see this game as the final item on his resume to get the Nets' head coaching job for next season. I'd be comfortable playing Caris Levert (FD $8200 DK $8200) in cash games if need be, and love him as a part of a two man game script stack with VanVleet at a position where they aren't likely to be the chalk plays. Elsewhere I'm happy to mix and match Nets where I need to fill...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, Saturday, 8/22/20 With the playoffs starting to get a bit repetetive with how plays break down, we are going to start going game-by-game with values and considerations. After the Magic stole game one it tentatively looked like this could be a series where we could glean some reliable DFS value, but game two quickly dispelled me of that illusion. There is still some value from this series, but it's going to be a risky one to target. Nikola Vucevic (FD $8500 DK $9100) still managed to scrape some value together in spite of the Magic getting blown out, and it looks like he could still be playable in spite of this series leaning in a one sided direction. He's the only realistic offensive option for the Magic, and as good as the Bucks are defensively they haven't had an answer for him yet. He's still cheap on FanDuel, and still a cash game option. Outside of Vuc? Eek. Evan Fournier (FD $5300 DK $5200) is the only guy that I can imagine running in cash games. He played 35 minutes in a one sided game, and his 13 shots were second among starters. I don't give credit to Terrence Ross, who got most of his attempts up in the Magic's desperate comeback attempt. Fournier still paid 5x points per dollar on his relatively cheap prices, though, and on smaller slates you can't rule him out. As we swing over to the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo (FD $11300 DK $11000) chased himself off the court by going into superhero mode in game two, and if he can get the extra 4 minutes he should in close games these prices are a joke. Our system is also intrigued by Brook Lopez (FD $5700 DK $5300) in particular, who the Bucks are priced into keeping on the court as the only guy who can sort of defend Vucevic. He played 33 minutes in game two, and supplied 20 points from the field. Our system frankly thinks any of the Bucks' non-Wesley Matthews starters are in play here, and even gives a nod to George Hill...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 8/21/20 With the playoffs starting to get a bit repetetive with how plays break down, we are going to start going game-by-game with values and considerations. We have more a positional breakdown from Wednesday's picks which will closely mirror these. Let's take a look at each game. The big news for the Nets here is that Joe Harris left the bubble for personal reasons and the team is left even thinner. Garrett Temple (FD $4900 DK $5100) is likely up for another set of huge minutes coming off a strong 21 points, three assists and three rebounds. He makes for a good value. Timothe Luwawu (FD $5100 DK $4600) joined the starting lineup in place of Radians Kurucs on Wednesday. He cooled off from three, going only 3-10 but this guy has been a flamethrower in the bubble, shooting 45% from beyond the arc on seven attempts per game. He still makes for a very good DraftKings play. And finally, for the Nets they’ve shown they can’t live with Jarrett Allen (FD $7400 DK $7100) off the court. He played more than 40 minutes in game two and is averaging 15 points and 13 rebounds through the first two games. Even though Nets played hard in game two, I’m very concerned with a potential blowout here. Brooklyn is just so thin no without Harris and already got beaten down in game one. Kyle Lowry (FD $8200 DK $7800) and Fred Vanvleet (FD $7900 DK $7600) have played a ton of minutes each in the first two games, but there could be a foot-off-the-gas situation happening here with Toronto with this series likely all but over. If looking for a cheaper play to round out lineups, OG Anunoby (FD $4800 DK $4600) is playing a lot still. Nuggets (-2) vs. Jazz (+2) After an overtime game in the first one, the Jazz won game two in fairly decisive fashion to bring the series even. After going absolutely bonkers in the first game, Donovan Mitchell...

Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $10000 DK - $11000 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 54.19 DK - 56.71 It seems like five lifetimes ago that the Trial Blazers played in the Western Conference finals against the Warriors, but it seems a lot more recent when you look at how the Blazers have played over the last couple weeks. Lillard has been the poster boy for the restart, pouring in 31+ points on 40+ minutes in each of his last five games. The floor here is truly outrageous, and while the price is getting up there on DraftKings, he could have 90%+ ownership on FanDuel. The Lakers just can't contain him behind the three point line AND in the paint, and it sure looks like Dame is going to eat in some capacity over the course of this series. Goran Dragic FD - $6200 DK - $5900 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 32.09 DK - 33.8 Dragic was flat out awesome in game one against the Pacers, and Spoelstra has a history of sticking with what works until the other team figures out how to stop it. Dragic led the team with 19 shots, and was second on the team in each of points, rebounds, and assists. He's still priced like the guy who was playing 28-30 minutes a game during the restart, and getting the bonus minutes and usage makes him a great cash game play. Also considered: Alex Caruso, if Rondo sits again. He didn't do much on his 29 minutes in game one, but he really should have a 5x points per dollar floor with that kind of run. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $11800 DK - $11700 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 69.71 DK - 72.78 Harden didn't even need to do everything he is capable of in Houston's embarrassment of the Thunder in game one, and our projection system thinks he has more to give here. While the 34 minutes he played in game one might look like full run for a guy like Giannis, we know that the Rockets won't be shy about playing him 40+ in close...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday 8/19/20

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday 8/19/20 The second game of a playoff series gives us a little more clarity around minutes, rotations and what teams' strategies will be. That's a good thing from a projection perspective. Let's take a look at DraftKings and FanDuel picks for this NBA slate. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kemba Walker FD - $6900 DK - $6800Opponent - PHIProj Pts FD - 38.08 DK - 39.73 Boston was dealt a brutal blow on Monday when Gordon Hayward sprained his ankle and is now out for at least the next month. This was a team that already lacked much in the way of depth after their core six guys. The whole team gets a minutes and usage bump with Gordon off the court. Kemba had a quieter game one with 19 points and five assists. He did get up 16 shots, though went 0-4 from three. Expect a tick up in the attempts on Wednesday and the minutes should be there as well. His price did come up some, but he’s still a value on both sites. After Kemba, point guard is a problematic position on this slate. There aren’t any clear plays on either site. Kyle Lowry (FD $8000 DK $8000) has a good matchup but there’s once again big-time blowout risk against the Nets. He and Fred VanVleet both played a ton in game one even though that one got out of hand. In that way, he is probably fairly safe, but this one has a big spread as well. If you want to go super cheap, Monte Morris (FD $3900 DK $3700) and Seth Curry (FD $4400 DK $3600) both are near the minimums and played a lot off the bench in their respective games on Monday. Shooting Guard Jordan Clarkson FD - $5100 DK - $4700Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 30.61 DK - 31.9 Clarkson didn’t get the start for Mike Conley on Monday (those honors went to Juwan Morgan) but the former did come off the bench and play 34 minutes in regulation. He ceded a lot of usage to Donovan Mitchell, but still finished with 18 points on 17 shots, the second-most on the team. Clarkson ran bad from...
