Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $10200 DK - $10700 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 50.82 DK - 53.7 This price is getting pretty lofty, but it's almost impossible to fade this guy right now. Before getting blown out on Monday, Lillard had at least 49 DraftKings points in each of his previous six games. That directly correlates with C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic getting injured, forcing Dame to run this offense. He usually runs the offense anyway, but his 32 percent usage rate in that span is absurd. The best part about using him today is the matchup though, with Washington ranked dead-last in total defense while playing at the fastest pace in the NBA. Kemba Walker FD - $5700 DK - $6700 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 32.73 DK - 33.4 Walker was already one of the league leaders with a 29 percent usage rate, and that's likely to increase with Marcus Smart out for the next few weeks. That sort of usage is crazy from a player this talented, especially with Kemba priced so affordably. He's usually priced somewhere between $7,000-$8,000, and it's just a matter of time before he gets there. Scoring at least 32 DK points in three of his last five games is a good indicator that he's starting to find his groove, and the absence of Smart might finally get him over the 30-minute threshold. We saw the Pels' plans for Ball in the Milwaukee game, when he played 35 minutes en route to a 27/3/8 line. 6x points per dollar seems like the floor for Ball in close games (he nearly hit that in just 27 minutes against the Rockets), and he just looks like a stand out value in all formats. Ja Morant FD - $7800 DK - $7600 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 42.59 DK - 43.83 Morant was a victim of his own success against the Spurs on Saturday, carving up these same Spurs for 19 points and 11 assists on 8 of 14 shooting before the Grizz ran San Antonio off the court. These two teams should be evenly matched enough that we can avoid a blowout here, and if we do, I suspect we'll see that Morant is 10% too cheap as he slides back into his pre-injury rotation. If Terry Rozier misses this game LaMelo Ball will wind up being the highest owned point guard on the slate. Shooting Guard Cam Reddish FD - $4600 DK - $4800 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 26.58 DK - 26.77 DeAndre Hunter will be out for the following week, leaving space for Reddish to hop into the starting lineup and do a little damage. Reddish looks poised to hop into a 35 minute rotation, and while there are a lot of mouths to feed in Cleveland right now I still think he's just straight up under-priced against the Lakers here. This is a price and opportunity mismatch, and I'll be a buyer until his price climbs to the mid-$5000s or his role winds up being less than I thought. They stink. Since coming back from his hiatus, Irving is averaging 28 points and five assists per game. If Harden were to sit then the usage would undoubtedly increase. Darius Garland FD - $5200 DK - $5600Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 29.31 DK - 30.46 Garland is playing without a minutes limit now since coming back from injury and has been productive over the last week or so. He’s had double-digit scoring in each of the last three games and put up 17 shots last game in the loss to the Knicks. He needs to score to hit value and he’ll have a great chance for it against the Timberwolves who have trouble stopping anyone on defense. They are also dealing with a number of different injuries as well so this is a great spot for the Cavaliers. Shooting Guard Collin Sexton FD - $7100 DK - $6800Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 37.61 DK - 38.54 Sexton gets to face up against one of the league’s worst defenses in this matchup against the Timberwolves who rank 27th on the season in defensive efficiency. Sexton has shot poorly from the field in three of the last four games which has driven down his scoring totals. Plus the blowout against the Celtics was a total outlier. I think there’s still plenty of upside on the price point, especially on DraftKings. This will be easily the best matchup he’s had in the last week and that’s a great time to buy with the price dipping. You won’t often see runs like that and the price hasn’t come close to reflecting the output, at least not on FanDuel. He’s basically a must-play in cash on that site. It’s a little closer on DraftKings where he’s one of the most expensive plays on the slate. But I think you can do it there as well considering he’s playing Chicago who ranks 26th in team defense this season. Chris Paul FD - $7200 DK - $7600Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 38.96 DK - 41.96 The Suns are still without Devin Booker in the lineup on Saturday with him trying to recover from the hamstring injury. The Suns have missed Booker, losing two of their last three games. Paul has stepped up his usage in the short term, even before the Booker injury. Over the last six games, he’s getting up 21 shots per game and averaging 25 points per game. Where it’s dropped off for him some is in the assist department. He’s only averaging 3.5 dimes per game in that stretch including a game against the Wizards in which he had zero. That’s mildly concerning but it’s also keeping his price in a completely fair range. Shooting Guard Zach LaVine FD - $9000 DK - $8800Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 47.59 DK - 49.92 Lavine will take on the Blazers who’ve been decimated by injuries in the short-term losing McCollum, Nurkic, and now Derrick Jones from their starting lineup. They already ranked 28th in defensive efficiency and it’s hard to imagine them making gains in the short-term. This is one of the largest slates we've had without postponements, and it feels like all the COVID chaos is starting to simmer down a bit in NBA circles. Point Guard Reggie Jackson FD - $5800 DK - $6700 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 33.07 DK - 34.33 DFS sites are always slow to adjust to players gaining bigger roles, and that's certainly the case here with Jackson. The former Detroit PG has been forced into a monster role recently, with Paul George, Patrick Beverley and Kawhi Leonard all sidelined. In the last two games without those three guys, Jackson has collected 36 points, 15 rebounds, 14 assists, and three steals across 76 minutes of play. That's a two-game stretch you'd usually see from an $8,000 player, and it's pretty clear that he's a fantastic value in the $6K-range against a weak Orlando backcourt. Darius Garland FD - $5200 DK - $5000 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 26.24 DK - 27.31 This is probably my favorite per-dollar play on the board. Garland was performing at a $7,000-level the first two weeks of the season before getting injured, and a slow ramp-up has lowered this price tag. The good news is that he's back in the starting lineup, and the minute's restriction has been limited. In his first five starts before getting injured, Garland averaged 36.3 DK points per game across 36 minutes a night. That looked like the guy we saw on Wednesday, dropping 26 fantasy points across 31 minutes of play. All of that makes this $5K price tag truly shocking, and it limits any risk that this tough matchup might present.
