FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Saturday, 1/25/19 While we only have four games on this night slate, it should be an interesting one. All four games sit within a six-point spread. That should make for a ton of close games which is fantasy goodness for us DFS players. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $8700 DK - $8700Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 47.87 DK - 48.67 Irving hasn't found his way into our articles much this season because of injury but he's been way too good to be priced this cheaply. In fact, the All-Star is averaging 26.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.4 steals en route to 47. 2 DraftKings points per outing. If you look at every other player below $9,000, none of them average more than 37 fantasy points per game. That shows you just how much of a value Kyrie is right now and some tough matchups along with missed time have lowered his price tag to these intriguing numbers. Irving has actually played the Sixers, Lakers, Jazz and Bucks over the last four games and is still averaging 44 fantasy points per game in that span. Detroit is certainly not on those teams levels defensively, sitting 20th in defensive efficiency. In his first game against Detroit, Irving dropped 52.3 DK points, if you needed any more incentive.  Derrick Rose FD - $6800 DK - $7500Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 39.22 DK - 39.87 While Rose has been getting some slack for all of the All-Star votes he's been receiving, it's hard to argue with his recent numbers. Over his last nine games played, Rose is averaging 38 DraftKings points per game despite playing just 31 minutes per outing. That pairs nicely with the fact that he's been inserted into the starting lineup and Detroit is clearly realizing that this is their best playmaker right now. It's really no surprise that he's seen such an increase when you consider that Luke Kennard and Blake Griffin are both injured. That increase in role and production makes Rose a fantastic play against a Brooklyn, owning a 30th OPRK against PGs according to DraftKings.  Chris Paul remains a nice value in the $7,000-range against a...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday, 1/24/20

Point Guard Derrick Rose FD - $6900 DK - $7600Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 37.23 DK - 37.72Rose continues to have incredibly high usage for this Pistons’ team without Blake Griffin and has taken over the starting point guard responsibilities in the short term. That hasn’t translated to consistently high minutes but the shot volume is definitely there. He’s taken 17 or more shots in four of the last five games and is averaging 23 points and seven assists in that stretch. He’ll face a Memphis team ranked 22nd in defense and playing the fifth-fastest pace in the league. For Rose, this should mean continued production and he’s still something of a FanDuel value. The only issue is there have been some inconsistent minutes even in some closer games, but I’m not as concerned with that here. T.J. McConnell FD - $4200 DK - $4900Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 24.29 DK - 24.17Malcolm Brogdon has already been ruled out for Friday’s game meaning the Pacers will need to fill a bunch of minutes at point guard. Though Aaron Holiday had seen this role in the past with Brogdon out, on Wednesday it was TJ who got the second-half start against the Suns. He was excellent going for 10 points and 11 assists in 27 minutes. It stands to reason he gets the start here against the Warriors and would instantly become one of the better punt values on the slate. Keep an ear out for this news over the course of the day. If Trae Young has to sit out again, I’d feel okay going back to Jeff Teague (FD $4400 DK $4800) if he got the start again. I also don’t mind JA Morant (FD $7100 DK $7000) going against the Pistons. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10800 DK - $11100Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 60.61 DK - 63.3There is already some cheaper value opening up on this Friday slate meaning we’ll have some money to spend on the top-tier of players. Harden should be at the top of that mountain. His price has stagnated some in the short term because of a blowout and some...

Point Guard Anfernee Simons FD - $4000 DK - $4500 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 25.19 DK - 26.68 Have you seen these rotations out of Simons recently? Just outrageous minutes, including 41 in regulation last game. With CJ McCollum limited in practice on Wednesday, it looks for all the world like he'll miss another couple of games. He needs every single one of those minutes to pay these prices as long as he's playing alongside Melo and Lillard, but the floor just seems super high, and when you get a price and opportunity mismatch like this on a three game slate you should probably pursue it. Kyrie Irving FD - $8700 DK - $8400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 48.4 DK - 49.19 Damian Lillard FD - $9300 DK - $9900 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 48.55 DK - 50.64 A key decision on FanDuel tonight might come down to picking between high priced point guards. On DraftKings Lillard is startlingly more expensive, and not really in consideration for me. On FanDuel it's a bit closer. Lillard has the better match-up and is getting an obvious usage bump with CJ sidelined, but he's more expensive. Kyrie's got a tough match-up with the Lakers, but they are worse against point guards than pretty much any other position. This game has the potential to get out of hand, but given Davis' uncertain status of this writing it could be closer than it would be with both superstars healthy. Right now, I'm leaning toward Lillard on FanDuel and Irving on DraftKings. If you have the money, Luka Doncic is still lurking as well. He's a great value and was good against Portland last week, but I'm just not sure this is where we're spending up tonight just yet. Also considered: Cleveland's young back-court duo are great plays against a bad Washington team, and I wouldn't fault anyone for running them in any format. Honestly point guard is so deep that you might want to prioritize plays at other positions and see how much you have left over at the end. Shooting Guard Gary Trent Jr. FD -...

DFS NBA Podcast - FanDuel and DraftKings Plays for Wednesday 1/22/20 James Davis and Doug Norrie are back on their DFS NBA Podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings with a packed episode! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA, NFL and NHL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! After a day off on Tuesday, the NBA is back with a vengeance with a massive 12 game slate of action on Wednesday. The potential debut of Zion Williamson has people buzzing, but for DFS purposes we're focusing on other things tonight. It's certainly a night to look for overwhelming value, with plays like Kemba Walker, Buddy Hield, Donovan Mitchell, Monte Morris, and Marvin Bagley still looking very under-priced. While we aren't forecasting a lot of true sub-$4,000 plays to enable a stars and scrubs strategy, you should be able to capture enough excellent mid-range value to play either Harden or LeBron. Which of the superstars to play is sort of a debate here, with Doug and James taking opposite sides on the discussion. Tune in to hear a break down of every single game on the slate, and all you need to know before jumping in to contests on FanDuel and...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday 1/22/20

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/22/20 After a crazy 14-game slate on Monday and a bizarre one-gamer on Tuesday, we're back at it with 12 games here. What I love is that we have only one double-digit spread. That's a DFS player's dream after a ton of blowouts on Monday and it makes the picks so much easier to make. With that in mind, let's kick things off with one of the hottest players in the NBA!Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $9300 DK - $9300Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 51.07 DK - 51.82 Ever since Joel Embiid went down with injury, Simmons has been one of the best players in the NBA. In fact, the Aussie is averaging 21.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 2.1 steals across his last nine games played. The most important part about that is that he's averaging 40 minutes a game in that span while handling the ball on nearly every possession. That's led to a 53-point average on DraftKings while scoring at least 45 fantasy points in all but one of those games.  Monte Morris FD - $4000 DK - $4800Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 30.08 DK - 29.75 All of the injuries in Denver have really opened up things for Morris. While his fantasy production hasn't been great, there are signs that it will turn around shortly. When starting at point guard last season, Morris averaged 31 fantasy points per game. That looked like the guy we saw on Monday against the T'Wolves, with Morris dropping 27 DK points across 36 minutes of action. If he plays 36 minutes, we love him against a Houston club who surrenders the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. As long as Gary Harris and Jamal Murray remain out, Morris continues to be a great value below $5,000.  Goran Dragic and Dejounte Murray are both in consideration facing two of the worst defenses in the NBA (Washington and New Orleans). Shooting Guard Donovan Mitchell FD - $6200 DK - $7800Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 39.62 DK - 41.02 This FanDuel price is simply ridiculous. If you take out one dud where Mitchell played just 21 minutes...
