FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday 1/21/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 1/21/21 After a monster 10-game slate on Wednesday, we have a three-game ledger here. That's commonplace for Thursday nights though because the NBA loves to have showcase games on the TNT broadcast. That's certainly evident when you look at the game of the night, which features the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers. That's a Finals preview for many people and it will obviously be a major focus in our article with only three games on the docket. With that in mind, let's go ahead and get into it! Holiday has been a $9,000 player for a good amount of his career and a number of blowouts have limited his production this season. The good news is that this game is expected to be close which means we should get 35 minutes from Jrue. That's really all we can hope for with Holiday averaging over 34 fantasy points per game in just 32 minutes a night. If you look at the eight games where Holiday has played at least 34 minutes, Holiday scored at least 33 fantasy points in each of them en route to a 39-point average. Point guard is actually one position you can exploit the Lakers defense too, with Dennis Schroder being a lackluster defender. Elfrid Payton FD - $5300 DK - $5800 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 30.83 DK - 31.7 Elf has been in this article a ton this season and it's really hard to understand why he remains below $6,000 on both sites. Since struggling in the first two games, Payton is averaging 27 DK points per game across 30.4 minutes a night. We're talking about a dude who provides rebounds and assists at ease and it's amazing that he's receiving 30-plus minutes and 13 shots a game in that span too. All of that makes this price tag hard to understand, especially when you consider that Golden State ranks 25th in total defense. Eric Bledsoe has been extremely inconsistent but is too good to be this...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday 1/20/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/20/21 Let's call a spade a spade. Tuesday's slate was already ugly when we saw that there were only two games but they ended up being two disgusting blowouts. That's a disaster for DFS and it led to one of my worst nights of the season. Thanks, Jamal Murray! Anyway, we're back to a full 10-game ledger here and we're ready to bounceback. So, let's go ahead and get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $10000 DK - $10400 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 50.33 DK - 52.66 Lillard is pretty much a good option on every slate but he's almost impossible to fade here. We say that because Portland is without C.J. McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins. That leaves this offense very thin and Lillard will be happy to take on more minutes, shots and usage. In the first game without those three, Lillard has a 39.3 percent usage rate, tallying 35 points, three rebounds and six assists despite getting blown out. One would have to think we're looking at 40 minutes and 25-30 shots in this role and it honestly wouldn't be surprising to see Lillard flirt with a 50-burger in what's expected to be a close game. Jalen Brunson FD - $3900 DK - $4300 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 26.28 DK - 27.58 If Brunson finds his way into the starting lineup again here, he's one of the best punt plays on the slate. Despite the Mavs being blown out on Monday, Brunson played 27 minutes and provided 20 DK points. That's really all you can ask for from a $4K player he's shown us 50-point upside just last week. The reason we think the minutes and usage will hold is because Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Richardson and Maxi Kleber all remain out. That means we could be looking at a small-ball game here with Myles Turner missing for Indiana and that only adds to Brunson's intrigue. Ja Morant is averaging over 50 DK points per game in his three healthy games this season and is way too cheap at $7,300. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10700 DK - $10900 Opponent...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday 1/19/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 1/19/21 Monday's slate was amazing with games spread all throughout the day but that leaves this Tuesday very thin. In fact, we have just two games on the ledger, with many teams playing on Monday and Wednesday. What's interesting about these slates is the fact that you can't fade chalk. There's inevitably going to be a few players in almost every lineup and it's because raw points are more important than anything. Scores will be lower but we'll try to offer up some value plays to fill out an optimal lineup with those chalky studs. With that in mind, let's talk about these games! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Jamal Murray FD - $7800 DK - $7300 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 33.24 DK - 34.45 Murray has been one of the biggest disappointments for season-long fantasy players but that doesn't really matter for DFS. On the contrary, it makes him even more intriguing for DFS because his price continues to drop. We're talking about a guy who averaged about 50 fantasy points per game in last year's postseason and has the ability to be a five-figure player. He's been finding some of that form recently, scoring 40-plus DraftKings points in back-to-back games. What we really love is that he's averaging 22 shots and 38 minutes a night over his last three games and that alone makes him hard to avoid at this price tag. Mike Conley FD - $7600 DK - $6800 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 35.28 DK - 36.58 Conley has been the opposite of Murray and has been a pleasant surprise for season-long fantasy players. That's definitely evident in his price, going up nearly $2,000 since the start of the season. That's even less surprising when you see that Conley is averaging 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.3 steals en route to 34.4 DK points a night for the year. That's the Conley we knew and loved in his Memphis days and it's clear he's running the offense more than Donovan Mitchell at this point. We're really not concerned with him facing an 18th-ranked Pelicans defense either. Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $8600 DK...

Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11200 DK - $11000Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 58.39 DK - 61.4 Luka has been utterly dominant recently, cresting over 77 FanDuel points in three of his last five games. He's a rebound in one game and an assist in another game from getting a triple double in his last five games. Toronto, meanwhile, has lapsed from one of the toughest defensive match-up to a totally reasonable one. The Raptors are playing a top 8 pace with a defensive efficiency that ranks in the bottom half of the league. Luka is a premier pay-up option on a night where finding value is going to be tough. Jrue Holiday FD - $7600 DK - $7200Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 37.7 DK - 36.85 It's the game with by far the highest total on the slate, and with Kyrie potentially returning for this one you could see one of the worst defensive back-courts in recent memory between Irving and Harden. Holiday has been contributing across the board recently, and racking up defensive stats in just the way the Bucks hoped he would, with at least a block and two steals in each of his last five games. In what should be a tight game, he should be on lock for his entire run of minutes as well. Also considered: Trey Burke, if Hardaway winds up sitting again. Shooting Guard Zach LaVine FD - $9300 DK - $9500Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 45.48 DK - 46.62 Some of the shine comes off this play now that Oladipo has been ruled in, but LaVine is still by far the most attractive shooting guard play on the board. He's a classic DFS play that you can't judge by his year to date stats since he'll play a lot more minutes in close games than in blowouts. While there's no line on this game at the moment, it should be a competitive one between LaVine's Bulls and what's left of the Rockets. LaVine has quietly improved across the board this season, improving his shooting percentage, rebounds, and assists while playing roughly the same number of minutes. While he's...

Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $8300 DK - $8600Opponent - OKCProj Pts FD - 42.41 DK - 41.84 Ben Simmons had a rough night on Saturday without Joel Embiid playing 36 minutes and turning the ball over seven times. He put up a complete(ish) line with nine points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists but the turnovers and lack of scoring did kind of kill him on the prices. I’m looking for a bounce-back here against OKC who plays at a league-average pace and defensive efficiency as well. Without the 76ers main driver of offense we are still buying guys on the team at relative value. De'Aaron Fox FD - $7300 DK - $7900Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 39.91 DK - 40.07 He played on something of a minutes limit on Friday but it's tough to tell if that was an injury thing or just because the Kings got blown out. I do think he’s set to see minutes in the mid 30’s in this matchup which would put him firmly in the cash game territory. On average, Fox is playing less than last season and it’s shown with him scoring and assisting less than 2020. But some of that is wonky with the minutes and I do think some of that is fit to regress as the rest of the season goes on and he plays more. Especially on FanDuel, Fox is still a cash play. Shooting Guard Paul George FD - $8700 DK - $9500Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 41.82 DK - 44.34 Paul George has spent the beginning part of this season trying to erase some of the stink on him from the playoffs last season. At least to start, it’s kind of working. He’s scoring 25 points per game (second-highest of his career) while shooting 50% from three on more than eight attempts per game. The 5.2 assists per game are also a career-high. And he’s logging major minutes, more than 37 per game over his last seven. It sure looks like the floor is high enough. I like him better on FanDuel where he’s still coming a bit too cheap for the production. Shai...
