Pitchers Chris Bassitt FD - P 9800 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - TEX (Kolby Allard) Park - OAK FD - 41.53 DK - 22.63 Bassitt may not provide the upside we are used to getting with our top-priced pitcher but his price is mostly relative to the size of the slate and lack of options at the top. The good news here is that he has been one of the more consistent arms this season holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in 12 of his last 14 starts lowering his ERA to 3.25 on the season. On top of the consistency, he gives us some of the best win equity on the slate as a -200 favorite against a below-average Rangers offense. All things considered, he is my top pitcher on this main slate. Joe Musgrove FD - P 8700 DK - SP 9200 Opponent - CIN (Vladimir Gutierrez) Park - CIN FD - 37.66 DK - 20.83 First of all, this is a big park downgrade for Musgrove but as I mentioned above we are short on options tonight so talent wins out. The year started off with a bang as he shutout Arizona over six innings followed by a no-hitter against Texas and then three more starts holding opponents to just five total earned runs. After a couple of rough outings, he has been consistent since posting a 1.57 ERA over his last eight starts and has gone at least six innings in three straight. He has provided a high floor all season and despite a smaller slate the price has actually come back down making him a top PTS/$ option and my favorite SP2 on the slate. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD 4700 DK 5900 Opponent - SEA (Justus Sheffield) Park - SEA FD - 16.14 DK - 12.24 There are really only two ways to go at first base it seems like on a nightly basis. You either pay up for pitching and scatter value bats throughout your lineup or find some value pitching and load up on bats. If paying up, there is really only one option and it's Valddy Jr who comes in with hits in nine straight including five multi-hit efforts, and has arguably been the MVP of the league with a .344/.446/.685 slash line. Unlike a year ago, he has really crushed lefties as well and is in play...

Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 11400 DK - SP 11000 Opponent - CHC (Zach Davies) Park - MIL FD - 38.06 DK - 21.26 The Cubs run into an absolute buzzsaw this series facing the Brewers top pitching and they face arguably the best of the bunch in Woodruff tonight. He has been one of the best pitchers in baseball on the season with the 3rd best ERA(1.89) and xFIP(2.81) among qualified pitchers. He just doesn't give up a ton of contact or walk many batters(.76 WHIP) giving him a high floor and also provides a ton of upside with a 31% K rate facing a Cubs team that has struck out over 30% of the time over the past few weeks. Easily my top pitcher in all formats on this slate. Jose Urquidy FD - P 9500 DK - SP 9900 Opponent - BAL (Undecided) Park - HOU FD - 36.65 DK - 19.11 The price is on the rise but it's most definitely warranted as Urquidy has been terrific since returning from injury going 3-1 with a 3.45 ERA/3.50 xFIP and has seen the K #'s rise substantially since the start of the season. He now gets an elite matchup against a struggling Orioles team that has dropped 16 of their last 18 games while scoring just an average 3.1 runs per game and striking out 27% of the time. With a larger slate and tons of value bats, it won't be hard to pair Urquidy with another top pitcher making him my favorite SP2 on this slate and is close to my favorite PTS/$ option on FanDuel. Catcher/First Base Yuli Gurriel FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B 5300 Opponent - BAL (Undecided) Park - HOU FD - 13.52 DK - 9.85 First article of the week for me so of course, I am going to start off with one of my favorite DFS plays this season in Yuli Gurriel. He has been great all season(.333/.396/.517 slash) and it's also hard to ignore the short-term as he went into Monday night's game hitting .386 in June with a .406 wOBA and 164 wRC+. DraftKings is catching up in terms of pricing but he is still 7th in pricing but the real value lies on FanDuel where he is still $3K. I will have exposure in all formats. Nate Lowe FD - 1B 2700 DK - 1B 4200...

Pitchers Carlos Rodón FD - P 11200 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - CHW FD - 35.08 DK - 18.82 While Jacob deGrom is sort of running away with the National League Cy Young at this point, the race is much closer in the American League and Rodon has been near the front since the start of the season. It has been a spectacular comeback story that includes a no-hitter(near perfect game) and he enters the night having held opponents to one or fewer earned runs in 10 of his 12 starts. A lot of the success comes on the back of an elite fastball/slider combination that he throws 82% of the time and helped him to a career-high 36.6% K rate. The prices are near season high's but he gets an elite matchup vs. a bottom 5 offense so fire him up in all formats. Chris Paddack FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - ARI (Corbin Martin) Park - SD FD - 34.42 DK - 18.56 After a rocky April, Paddack has really started to come into form posting a 3.35 ERA and even better 3.24 xFIP over his last eight starts. What really stands out is the K upside he has provided lately with six or more strikeouts in four straight starts including 20 over his last two starts. He now gets an elite matchup vs. a struggling(to put it kindly) D-backs team that has posted a league-worst .280 wOBA, 75 wRC+, and .119 ISO since the start of May while only winning five(5!!) games. Paddack is my favorite SP2 on DraftKings and a nice GPP pivot play on FanDuel tonight. Also Consider: Alek Manoah(TOR) in a plus matchup vs. the Orioles if he starts. He is still waiting on his appeal decision after hitting Franco in his last meeting with the O's Catcher/First Base Yuli Gurriel FD - 1B 3300 DK - 1B 5000 Opponent - DET (Wily Peralta) Park - DET FD - 15.3 DK - 11.73 It is going to be really hard not to go back to the Astros once again and I don't think we can fade them at this point until they really cool down or get priced out of the park. Gurriel has seen his price go up slowly and finally hit $5K on DraftKings but he is having a better season than Jose...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Yours truly was subbed out last week because of ACL surgery, but I'm back to it and ready to go here! I actually had a minor bink over the weekend, and I've been really zoned in because of how stuck at home I am right now. That has me ready for this eight-game Thursday slate which is a bit larger than the usual Thursday card. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's go ahead and get into it! Pitchers José Berríos FD - P 9000 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - CLE (Jean Carlos Mejia) Park - MIN FD - 34.73 DK - 18.24 Berrios doesn't get a lot of hype in the media, but this youngster has been one of the best pitchers in the AL over the last five years. This has actually been his best season to date, posting a 3.56 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 9.4 K/9 rate. What makes him really attractive is his floor, scoring at least 19 FanDuel points in all 14 starts while dropping at least 27 fantasy points in 10 of those. All of that makes him hard to fade against Cleveland, with the Indians ranked 21st in OPS and 29th in OBP. He's been dominant against them over the last three years, too, allowing three runs or fewer in all seven of his starts against them. Luis Garcia FD - P 9600 DK - RP 8700 Opponent - DET (Jose Urena) Park - DET FD - 27.36 DK - 13.87 The Astros have been churning out starters for a decade now, and they found themselves another gem with Garcia. The right-hander has actually allowed three runs or fewer in all 12 starts he's made, generating a 2.69 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 10.6 K/9 rate since the opener. He's been even better recently, scoring at least 46 FanDuel points in four of his last five starts. That's nearly double our projection, and it would make him one of the best values on the board if he reaches that total again. Facing Detroit should make that much easier, with the Motor City Kitties ranked bottom-five in runs scored, OBP, OPS, xwOBA, and K rate. Catcher/First Base Max Muncy FD - 1B 3500 DK - 1B/2B 5500 Opponent - CHC (Zach Davies) Park - LAD FD - 11.74 DK - 8.64 While this DraftKings price is a bit lofty, we absolutely love this FanDuel pricing. A big...

Pitchers Early Brandon Woodruff FD - P 10700 DK - SP 10300 Opponent - ARI (Caleb Smith) Park - ARI FD - 40.98 DK - 23.2 As well as Kevin Gausman has pitched this season, the decision at top pitcher on this slate is pretty easy here. To start with, Woodruff gets the much better matchup against the D-backs who are among the worst offenses in the league and much worse against right-handed pitching. For Woodruff, he is coming off his worst start of the season but it was in Coors and before that he had held opponents to just 11 earned runs over his previous 12 starts. All things considered, Woodruff is my top pitcher in all formats on the early slate. Also Consider: Dylan Cease(CHW) in a plus matchup against the Pirates Main Jose Urquidy FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8100 Opponent - BAL (Thomas Eshelman) Park - BAL FD - 32.46 DK - 16.92 The main slate is a much tougher decision at pitcher tonight with Bauer and Musgrove going head to head and add in Trevor Rogers and all three top pitchers have pretty terrible matchups. I will bypass those guys in cash and head down the board a bit with Jose Urquidy who is a -200 favorite tonight against the Orioles. The K upside(22%) or lack thereof is a bit of an issue but the price is low enough that we can deal with it an on DK we are looking for about 16 points and he has tallied 15 or more in six of his last seven starts with 22 or more in three of his last four. All things considered, I love the PTS/$ value here making him my fav pitcher for cash games on the main slate. Catcher/First Base Early Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B 5000 Opponent - DET (Matt Manning) Park - DET FD - 11.6 DK - 8.72 After a slow start to the season, Goldy has really started to heat up hitting over .300 in the month of June with an elite .392 wOBA and 153 wRC+. With it, however, is a huge spike in price but it is also slightly relative to the size of this early slate. The Cards sit right behind the White Sox in terms of implied runs and goldy is my favorite play at first in all formats. Main...
