We've got you completely covered.   Pitchers Danny Duffy FD 9700 DK 10400 Opponent - CHW (Covey) Park - @CHW FD - 31.31 DK - 20.61 Danny Duffy and the Royals head into U.S. Cellular Field as one of the biggest favorites on the board, albeit just -133. Duffy has been dominant for the better part of 3 years now and is definitely the real deal. The White Sox may have gone off last night, but there not good at all. They are easily one of the worst offenses in the league and end up relying on Abreu and Frazier power most nights. Duffy posted a .201 wOBA against lefties and a .325 against righties in 2016. The Royals coaches have actually said he wasn't done improving and still has more to show. The strikeouts have been there at over 10 and his upside is incredible. I don't mind him in cash games, either. While Clayton Kershaw is certainly the top option on the board, he is extremely expensive and there's aways merit towards targeting Coors Field. Duffy is safe enough for cash games and has plenty of upside in tournaments. His price is pretty fair in both spots and I expect him to be around 10-20% owned. Michael Wacha FD 7700 DK 6800 Opponent - TOR (Estrada) Park - @STL FD - 32.67 DK - 21.43 We're at a point where the Blue Jays are just not working. Jose Bautista might just be bad and without Josh Donaldson in the lineup, the team is coming apart at the hinges. Michael Wacha may not be the same guy we thought he was after posting elite numbers in 2014, but he's a quality starter 3. He holds both sides of the plate under a .330 wOBA and does a good job of limiting big innings. The Blue Jays also move from Rogers Centre to Busch Stadium, one of the more spacious parks in the league. Both FanDuel and DraftKings have Wacha priced down. He's not a guy I'm willing to target in cash games with Kershaw on the slate, but I love him in tournaments. He will...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Chris Archer FD 9500 DK Opponent - BAL (Jimenez) Park - @BAL FD - 33.55 DK - 22.23 We have an interesting 9-game slate on our hands without any real safe pitching option. On a slate that doesn't offer any guaranteed 7 innings, 7K guys, you have to look towards the strikeouts. While strikeouts are typically looked at for upside, there is also a floor there with a guy like Archer. Even when he struggles, he tends to strike out at least 7 guys and end up with a decent line. When his stuff is working well, he can't be hit. In 2016, Archer sported a .304 combined wOBA along with a 10.3 K/9 and a 12.2% swinging strike rate. The Baltimore Orioles are the perfect match for Archer. They do strikeout a lot and they hit a lot of homers. Guys like Chris Davis, Schoop, Castillo, and Trumbo all held 22%+ K rates in 2016, with Davis and Trumbo topping 30%. While I certainly don't expect a clean slate here, Archer should be able to rack up plenty of strikeouts and get the win. On a slate without any pitching, it's gonna be tough fading a guy who can outscore the field by 3x. Amir Garrett FD 7700 DK Opponent - MIL (Garza) Park - @MIL FD - 28.02 DK - 18.62 Man, this guy is something. While he is just a rookie and every sample we have on him is small, he's been phenomenal. In 3 starts, he's struck out 21 batters and allowed just 4 runs. He struck out 12 Orioles in his last start and saw an insane SwStr%. He's also held a .088 wOBA against lefties and a .252 against righties. While neither are likely sustainable, I have a hard time staying away at this point. The Brewers are mostly right-handed, but do strikeout a lot and have less HR potential against southpaws. Even though the Brewers have been on fire lately, they still hold the league highest 27.5% k rate. Garrett is a bit too cheap on both sites and lets you pay up for a few extra Coors bats. Without the only real opportunity cost being Archer (a similar pitcher) who is more expensive, Garrett...

Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/23/17

We've got you completely covered. Cleveland Indians I’m just going to avoid Coors today, we all know those teams are well in play for GPP’s as always, but if you need a cheaper team to pair with them, or just want to fade entirely there are a few other teams for you to consider. First up we have the Indians. The tribe blanked the White Sox 7-0 last night and should continue that domination into the series finale this afternoon. Although they’re not in that other hitter friendly field in Chi-Town, Guaranteed Rate Field has it’s own perks, though the wind may not be one of them this afternoon as it’s only forecasted at a light 3MPH blowing across to right. The Sox will send southpaw Derek Holland to the hill to face down the Indians battalion of batters . Holland ended last season with a decent .260 wOBA against left handed hitters, but it rose to .346 against right handers. Look for switch hitters Carlos Santana, Francisco Lindor, and Jose Lindor to hit from the right side today adding adding to the right handed bats of Edwin Encarnacion and Brandon Guyer You can work in lefties Michael Brantley, and Jason Kipnis if you like, though I’d be cautious with Kipnis as he’s still fresh of the DL and hasn’t found his groove yet. Texas Rangers The Rangers have taken 3 games of this series already from the Royals, and look to finish them out this afternoon in Arlington. They’ll be facing Jason Hammel to complete the four game sweep. Hammel is 0-1 in three starts this year with his new team. The Rangers will come at him primarily from the left, with Shin-soo Choo, Nomar Mazara, and Rougned Odor, you can complete that stack with Carlos Gomez. In the early going this year, the Rangers are sporting a .291 team wOBA but that quickly climbs to .308 when there’s a right hander on the mound. Their 25 combined home runs is the best in the American League, and they’re walking at 8.41%. Hammel has struggled in his first few starts back in the...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Danny Salazar FD 10100 DK 11300 Opponent - CHW (Holland) Park - @CHWFD - 34.34 DK - 22.61 The Indians dominated the White Sox the last two nights, and that is expected to continue this afternoon in the series finale. I highlighted their bats in the stacks article, and now to show their pitcher some love. Danny Salazar will look to complete the sweep against a Chicago team that has yet to get a single run across the plate this weekend. Last season Salazar averaged 10.5 K/9 and is up to 13.75 through three starts this year. He has huge K upside against a Chicago lineup that is striking out 23.8 percent of the time, third worst in the American League. Chicago will send a right handed heavy lineup to the dish today, to face Salazar who sported a .330 wOBA against right handers last year, and early on this year it’s sitting at .212. It’s clear and warm in Chicago today, with a light breeze so the conditions are perfect and Salazar could be looking at a big day. I love him in all formats. Marcus Stroman FD 8500 DK 9600 Opponent - LAA (Undecided) Park - @LAAFD - 26.99 DK - 17.93 Marcus Stroman is 1-2 through three starts to begin this season, but that is due primarily to the lack of run support, he struggled some his last time out against Boston, but his first two starts should have been wins, with 3 runs allowed on 13 hits through 15.1 innings. The Jays have started to finally win a few games, and more importantly, they’re scoring runs, even in losses, putting 16 runs across in their last 4 games. Today they’ll go for the series win in Anaheim, against a righty heavy Angels lineup that once you get past Mike Trout is none too impressive. The Angels are hitting with a .293 combined team wOBA, that only climbs to .297 against right handed arms. They’ve got a 28.3 hard hit percentage, and the wind will be blowing straight out at 9MPH. This pick isn’t without risk...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11500 DK 13900 Opponent - NYM (Wheeler) Park - @NYM FD - 42.47 DK - 27.97 On a day with so much pitching, Scherzer still stands out as a cash game option. He's  the 2nd best pitcher in baseball and the only guy who contends with Kershaw in terms of consistency. He has gone 6+ innings and struck out 7+ in each of his 3 starts. Dusty Baker has already pushed him to 114 pitches so it's quite clear where his upside lies. If you know baseball, you know how good this guy is at everything. Last year, he held a .259 combined wOBA and struck out 12.35 per 9 innings. Yoenis Cespedes is expected to miss this game and that leaves the Mets lineup very weak. Jay Bruce and Neil Walker are the current 3-4 combo of this team which should also speak to the strikeout upside. There are a lot of guys like Rivera, Wheeler, D'Arnaud, Walker, etc that offer K upside without the HR downside. The one spot where Scherzer struggled in 2016 was with the occasional longball. That shouldn't be a problem tonight and if he allows one, I don't think anyone is on base. As long as Scherzer has his stuff working tonight, there is no doubt what will happen. He will dominate the Mets on Sunday Night Baseball and be a terrific late night hammer. His price is high but so is his "floor" and his upside is greater than anyone else. In baseball, anything can happen. Bartolo Colon hit a home run.  Scherzer is very expensive and there's always other options. Let's take a look at a few guys who might not be quite as obvious as Scherzer. Yu Darvish FD 10200 DK 10800 Opponent - KC (Hammel) Park - @TEX FD - 34.39 DK - 22.69 In my cash games, I plan on sticking with Max Scherzer. He is extremely consistent and on a 25 game slate, not too difficult to fit in. However, he's way more expensive than anyone else and there is a guy who has a similar upside. Yu Darvish is one of the best strikeout pitchers in baseball when healthy and he certainly looks to be, throwing...
