Pitcher EARLY Jon Lester FD 10300 DK 10600 Opponent - STL (Leake) Park - @CHCFD - 35.96 DK - 23.61 Jon Lester gets us started on the early slate hosting the Cardinals in Wrigley Field. The Cards, to their merit, strike out 20.8% of the time, which is right about league average, though that number does climb a bit to 22.2% against southpaws. The key factor here however lies in the wOBA. As a team, St. Louis is sporting a.285 team wOBA against lefties, and only 3 other teams in baseball are worse. Lester meanwhile is one of the better strikeout pitchers in the game, fanning just under 10 batters per nine with a 3.59 xFIP and a 3.86 ERA. He followed up a complete game 10 K, 1 run performance against the Giants on the 23rd by getting rocked by the Dodgers last time out, allowing 6 earned runs while not making it out of the fourth inning. Some may be scared off by that but I'm not. One outing does not make a season, and if we look at the game logs, we see Lester has been quite consistent through this point in the season, I'm ][more than willing to pull the trigger on this one. Carlos Carrasco FD 10200 DK 11700 Opponent - KC (Hammel) Park - @KCFD - 35.62 DK - 23.44 If, however, you are spooked by the 1 FanDuel point Lester managed to score in his last start, then allow me to make a strong case for Carlos Carrasco. Our system loves both of these guys equally, with them projected for similar totals, and excellent point per dollar returns. Carrasco will set you back a bit more on DraftKings where there is a bit more disparity pricing, but there's a mere $100 separating them on FD. The stat book tells a similar story on each as well, while Lester throws more K's, Carrasco sports a slightly better xFIP. Also, as bad as the Cardinals are against lefties, the Royals are equally as bad against Righties. KC has a .293 wOBA against right handed pitching, and there is only one team worse than that. They also K 21.3% of the time against right handers. Personally, I will probably split...

We've got you completely covered. Cleveland Indians With 2 pretty small slates on our hands, we can't be picky here. Fortunately, we have quite a few offenses with some solid implied run totals. The Cleveland Indians come into the fist game of the day expected to score close to 6 runs. They host the Oakland Athletics, who will be tossing Jharel Cotton. While Cotton isn't a horrid pitcher, he's not very good at all. He's allowed a .341 combined wOBA and has been a bit worse against righties. Remember, these numbers are with half of his innings in the spacious O.Co Coliseum. The Indians lineup is one that's a pretty safe stack. They rarely put up a bad performance and will generally keep you afloat. On a day like this, they could en up being highly owned, though it's very relative to only a few options at each position. Santana and Brantley are the 2 best bats against righties, with Lindor and Kipnis coming up next. Encarnacion has unlimited upside as well and makes for a fantastic pivot from Santana. Looking lower in the lineup, Bradley Zimmer andJose Ramirez are both in play. They are super cheap across the industry and will have a RBI opportunity or two. Main Stack - Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley, Carlos Santana Sneaky Stack - Francisco Lindor, Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Ramirez, Bradley Zimmer Toronto Blue Jays On the late slate, there is no 1 offense that stands out. However, the Blue Jays are facing a righty with their replenished lineup. We know Josh Donaldson and his history vs southpaws, making him my top play in all formats, without price considered. You then move into the likes of Bautista, Tulo, and Morales. They all hit lefties well and have been gluing as an offense. Pillar and Russell Martin are in play as well, but make a bit more sense in cash games. The opposing pitcher, C.C. Sabathia, while not horrible, has been on a steady decline against righties. He's allowed a .323 wOBA so far while giving up 8 homers in less than 50 innings. With all of...

Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11500 DK 13300 Opponent - SF (Cain) Park - @SF FD - 41.71 DK - 27.5 This is a slate with some very interesting pitching options, so let's jump right in. When Max Scherzer is on the mound, he's generally at the top of this article as well. On a slate like this, nothing changes. Scherzer is in one of the best spots he will be in all year, heading to AT&T Park to face the Giants. While facing the Giants in AT&T Park is usually one of the scariest match-ups in baseball, that DEFINITELY can't be said in 2017. In fact, they have been the absolute worst team in baseball against righties, as well as the worst team in baseball at home. I know, it's hard to believe the Giants may be one of the worst offenses around. However, when you look past the reputation of the Giants, the lineup is very meh. Starting with the stars, we have Brandon Belt and Buster Posey. Both are very viable against righties, but strikeout over 20% of the time and held sub .365 wOBA's in 2016. In the heart of the order, we're looking at guys like Christian Arroyo, Mac Williamson, and Eduardo Nunez. While those guys aren't horrible players, they don't have much to offer in this stadium. It ranked dead last in terms of power to both righties and lefties in 2016 and it averaged the least amount of HR per game. We all know how great Scherzer is, but let's take a look. He's struck out over 14 righties per 9 innings this year, while holding both sides of the plate to a combined .251 wOBA. His only real issue is with the HR ball, which this ballpark will help a ton with. Scherzer will cost you tonight, but it very well may end up being worth it. There are ways to pay down for bats and if you need to get Scherzer, you can. Jacob deGrom FD 11200 DK 12000 Opponent - MIL (Guerra) Park - @NYM FD - 41 DK - 26.91 If you want to take a step down from Scherzer, there is nothing wrong with a pivot to Jacob DeGrom. You can also...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Kyle Hendricks FD 9400 DK 9600 Opponent - SD (Cosart) Park - @SD FD - 36.64 DK - 24.05 This isn't a day where you will be able to choose from a bevy of different superstars with different levels of upside. This is a day where you have to look for a guy that won't implode. Both slates do have a few options to consider, though none of which that stand out. On the early slate, we're going to take a look at Kyle Hendricks. Hendricks and the Cubs will travel into Petco Park, which is the worst park in baseball for hitting. It also houses one of the worst teams around, the Padres. The Padres currently hold the 3rd lowest wOBA in the league against righties at .291. They also strikeout 25.6% of the time, so the upside is definitely here. While Hendricks is a soft-tosser who doesn't necessarily look for K's, he can run into them. For example, he had 2 games with 12 K's last year and another couple in the double digits. He's held a .278 combined wOBA this year and has been just as good against righties as he is against lefties. Hendricks is one of the more solid pitchers in baseball and you can expect him to start having a very solid season. As for this Padres lineup, their outlook on this season is much different. Outside of Wil Myers, there isn't anyone I'm scared of. Ryan Schimpf and Hunter Renfroe definitely have power, but I'm willing to take it when they K at such an unbelievably high rate. Hendrick is the top option on this slate and the guy I will have in cash in every lineup. Ricky Nolasco FD 7500 DK 8400 Opponent - ATL (Teheran) Park - @LAA FD - 29.61 DK - 19.49 Like I said, we don't have much to choose from. The late slate is even worse. While you can go with a Marcus Stroman for pure talent, he's in a tough spot in a tough ballpark. That forces us down the pricing spectrum, where we land on Ricky Nolasco. Trust me when I say I never thought I would roster him again. He's truly not a good pitcher and...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Michael Pineda FD 9100 DK 9900 Opponent - OAK (Triggs) Park - @NYY FD - 35.36 DK - 23.3 On FanDuel and DraftKings, the "main" slate doesn't include Cueto or Kershaw. Therefore, we'll be starting off a bit lower on the pricing spectrum with Michael Pineda. Pineda, a guy who used to be known for having blow-up starts, has yet to have 1 this season. He has done a terrific job locating his primary pitches and rarely walks anyone anymore. He's also striking out as many batters as ever, sitting at a slight career-high 10.23 K/9. He did hold a few 11s and 12s, but not for any large sample size. That is until this year, where Pineda has cut his arsenal from 4 to 5 pitches in hopes of getting better at all of those pitches. Well, it worked. He's holding a career high in SwgStrk%, Z-swing%, and X-swing%. 3 of his 4 pitches have held batters under a .300 wOBA, with the only other pitch facing a .381 BABIP. Pineda looks to be the real deal and while I doubt he sees a clean sheet all season, I also doubt the Athletics are the ones to put him away. While they have a few guys with pop (Davis, Alonso), the strikeout a ton and don't have many good hitters. They have struck out at the 4th highest clip (23.3%) against righties and only look to be on the way down in the past month. With Pineda fairly priced at home against an inept Athletics offense, he is the best play out there on the main slate. He can be used in all formats and makes sense no matter the tourney. With all of that being said, Pineda could end up being highly owned. There are a few decent pivots if you play the all-day slate. Let's take a look at a few options. Johnny Cueto FD 9100 DK 10800 Opponent - ATL (Dickey) Park - @SF FD - 36.41 DK - 23.96 The Braves are atrocious. I've been saying it for weeks and they kept putting up fluky runs. They're finally settling down to the team they truly are and against righties, that's the worst team in baseball. Without Freddie Freeman,...
