Pitchers Robbie Ray FD 10300 DK 12000 Opponent - MIL (Anderson) Park - @ARI FD - 39.27 DK - 25.89 We touched on Chris Archer and Carlos Carrasco in the main picks article and both are still very much in play. Looking a bit later in the day, we're going to take a look at Robbie Ray and James Paxton. Robbie Ray and the D-Baks are hosting the Brewers, who have come back down to earth after starting the year on fire. They are admittedly better against lefties, but still not great. They strike out the third most of any team in the league at 26.3%. Over the past 30 days, they have the 21st best wOBA against lefties. This is a team you shouldn't be scared of targeting as they can rack up strikeouts and be shut down with ease. Robbie Ray has been nothing short of incredible. He's holding lefties to a .233 wOBA and righties to a respective .272. He's not getting lucky, either, holding a .370 BABIP against left-handers. Ray is striking out almost 14 lefties per 9 and nearly 11 righties. He's been simply great. The only negative we're looking at is the ballpark. Chase Field is a huge hitters park and it can trouble some of the best pitchers in the game. Still, he has more than enough upside and if you want to move away from the chalk, you can't get much better. James Paxton FD 8900 DK 9200 Opponent - TOR (Happ) Park - @SEA FD - 32.86 DK - 21.57 It all comes down to pitch count for Paxton. Like Ray, he has made a name for himself with pure dominance. If you remove his last start coming off the DL, he's allowed an earned run in just one of his games all season long. He's been unhittable for lefties and righties aren't having too much fun either. He's striking out over 10 per 9 innings and has gone 7 innings in most starts. However, he's recently coming off the DL and it will be interesting to see how many pitches...

We have a very nice slate on our hands, with plenty of pitching and plenty of offenses to target. We start off with Chris Archer, facing the Athletics at home in Tropicana Field. Archer has been phenomenal so far this season, striking out more batters than ever (11 per 9) and limiting the big inning(s). The crazy part about it all is that he's getting a bit unlucky. Lefties, who hold a .323 wOBA this season, also sport a .344 BABIP. You can expect his numbers to get better against lefties and for his ERA to match his SIERA. He's also been better at home over the course of his career, with a .268 wOBA and 12.31 K/9. He faces off with the Oakland Athletics, who are easily one of the most underwhelming lineups in baseball. Sure, they have plenty of power in the likes of Khris Davis, Yonder Alonso, and Ryon Healy. Those guys also hold some of the highest K rates in baseball and are simply boom or bust hitters. You then get into guys like Chad Pinder, Jed Lowrie, and Matt Joyce. A bunch of guys who aren't very good at hitting the baseball. All in all, the A's strikeout 24.5% of the time and hold the 8th lowest wOBA in the MLB against righties. While a clean slate is rare from Archer, you can expect 8 strikeouts at a minimum with the upside for 12 and a CGSO. He was once a guy you could never trust in cash games, but I would say that label is far gone. Carlos Carrasco FD 9800 DK 11500 Opponent - CHW (Quintana) Park - @CLE FD - 35.43 DK - 23.37 If you need to save some funds or aren't in love with Chris Archer, Carlos Carrasco is a great option. He, like Archer, has been very impressive to start the season. He's holding a combined .265 wOBA while striking out nearly a batter per inning. He's a true ace in terms of skill and you can count on him giving you at least 6 -7 innings. As...

We've got you completely covered. Houston Astros Both of these teams here we're heavily mentioned in the main picks article, so go make sure to check that out!We start off with the Astros, who host the Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park. The Angels are lucky enough to have Ricky Nolasco on the mound today, not. Nolasco is horrible and will be eaten up and spit out by the 5th inning. Nolasco has been horrible against everyone, holding a .347 wOBA against lefties and a .388 against righties. The peripherals look normal and I see no reason to expect any positive regression. Vegas agrees, slotting the Astros as the 2nd highest scoring team with 5.33 runs. This entire lineup is dangerous, so it's pretty tough to pick 4 in a tournament. Jose Altuve is undeniable and a key piece of every stack. After him, you can really go anywhere from 1-9. Obviously, guys like George Springer and Carlos Correa have a lot more appeal than an Alex Bergman or Nori Aoki. I'm just saying this is one of those lineups that can produce from any spot, so don't feel restricted to the top 4 in a stack. Nolasco should be out early and could easily be replaced by some of the worst long relievers in baseball (Brooks Pounders, Keynan Middleton). Main Stack - Jose Altuve, Josh Reddick, Carlos Correa, George Springer Sneaky Stack - Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, Brian McCann, Yulieski Gurriel Cleveland Indians The Indians currently hold an implied total of 6.10, which is simply crazy for a game outside of Coors Field. Generally, you only see teams with 6 run totals in Coors Field or Wrigley when the wind is blowing out. In Progressive Field, Vegas has to LOVE a team to go this high. It looks like they do. The Indians are facing off with David Holmberg, who is bad bad bad. You can ignore this year's numbers, as he's holding a .121 BABIP (LOL) and most of his innings have been out of the bullpen. He's been in the majors since 2013, being sent down as soon as...

Pitchers Sean Manaea FD 8400 DK 8500 Opponent - TB (Andriese) Park - @TB FD - 29.94 DK - 19.98 Make sure you check out our main picks article, as Brett touched on Martinez, Samardzija, Gonzalez, and Sale. They are all still very much in play and should be some of the more popular plays of the day. On the early slate, there are plenty of ways to go. If you feel like paying down a bit for a guy with crazy upside, take a look at Sean Manaea. The Athletics and Rays are playing a doubleheader today, with Manaea pitching in the later (4:00) game. Make sure he will accumulate fantasy points on the site you play him, as most sites will have a separate slate with this game on it. Manaea has been fantastic lately, topping 40 FanDuel points in 3 straight contests. He's striking out over 10 batters per 9 innings and only allowing a 3.71 xFIP. He's the real deal and while his K numbers may come down a bit, they certainly won't against this team. The Rays have struck out more than any other team vs lefties, at an insane 27.1%. They hold a pitiful .300 team wOBA and are basically inept against lefties. Steven Souza and Evan Longoria are the 2 bats to worry about, but Manaea has been incredible and just shut down an offense filled with guys like Josh Donaldson and Jose Bautista. I assume he'll be able to handle Longo in a pitchers park like Tropicana Field. All in all, there is always a lot of risk to target a young lefty like Manaea. However, on a day where ownership should be spread out, Manaea gives you a shot at 50 fantasy points at 5% owned. Marcus Stroman FD 8800 DK 8600 Opponent - SEA (Miranda) Park - @SEA FD - 31.82 DK - 20.97 While we haven't seen the dominant Marcus Stroman in a few weeks, he's showed a level of consistency that we haven't seen yet from him. He's working himself deeper into games and doing a great job of controlling...

Pitcher EARLY Carlos Martinez FD 10000 DK 12300 Opponent - PHI (Pivetta) Park - @STLFD - 37.43 DK - 24.6 We kick things off with an early afternoon game in St. Louis as the Cardinals continue their weekend series with the ever struggling Phillies. Carlos Martinez takes to the hill for the Cards and is in an excellent spot here. If we look to Martinez' game logs we see he has been the model of consistency this season. He fell apart late the last time out against the Reds after putting together 6 strong innings. His K rate is on the rise as his 9.98 K/9 sits nearly 1.25 higher than his career numbers, and his 3.39 xFIP is among the best in the bigs. Philadelphia meanwhile, despite showing some signs of life earlier this week down in Atlanta, are still the offense with a .305 wOBA, among the worst this season against right handed pitching while striking out 23.1% of the time against righties. I led off with Martinez here because for cash game purposes I love the safety he represents, however the system does feel you can do one better and save some salary in the process... Jeff Samardzija FD 9200 DK 10900 Opponent - MIN (Berrios) Park - @SFFD - 38.48 DK - 25.28 Which leads us to the Shark. If you want to save some salary to load up on bats in the early slate, (and we'll get to why you might want to do that shortly) then Jeff Samardzija might be the way to go. For significant savings, particularly on DraftKings, you get an arm who isn't as highly favored to win as Martinez may be, but who the system loves from a PPD perspective, and that comes down to the strikeouts. The Twins strike out nearly 23% of the time against right handers, and Samardzija is one of the best in the game with his 10.62 K/9 ranking among the top ten in baseball. Despite their propensity to swing and miss however, the Brewers .331 team wOBA against the split is ranked seventh in Baseball at this point in the season, so if Shark isn't hitting his spot he could fall in to trouble early. I wouldn't completely...
