We've got you completely covered.   Pitchers Johnny Cueto FD 9800 DK 11700 Opponent - KC (Hammel) Park - @SF FD - 37.62 DK - 24.78 We touched on Corey Kluber and Michael Pineda in the main picks article, who are still preferred as the top 2 options in cash games and tournaments. We now touch on a guy we can use in all formats and a guy that is only a GPP option. Starting with Cueto, he's expensive and should be a bit overlooked with most on Kluber and Pineda. We know how good Johnny Cueto is and how great he pitches at home. We also know he has struggled a bit as of late and hasn't displayed his dominant 9 innings, 10 strikeout performance that he usually shows a few times each year. He hasn't been horrible, either. Cueto currently sports a .320 wOBA and is striking out 9 batters per 9 innings. This is still the same ace we love and know and the big performances will come. This isn't a bad game for it to happen in, facing off with the Royals at home in AT&T Park. The Royals are the league's 2nd worst team against righties, sporting a .296 wOBA. They strikeout 22% of the time against righties and have the league's lowest OPS. This is a very weak team and I would be surprised if anyone is able to do much 1 swing damage here. Cueto has to avoid the "death by single" inning, which is how the Royals do most of their damage. Cueto is the best pitcher in the league at holding runners and he will completely take away any threat Escobar or Merrifield brings. All in all, Cueto is fine in all formats, but I do prefer Kluber and Pineda. Francisco Liriano FD 7300 DK 5800 Opponent - TB (Odorizzi) Park - @TOR FD - 31.4 DK - 20.84 Never roster Francisco Liriano in a cash game. I don't care if he's facing a little league team. He can walk 10 batters and have 90 pitches by the 4th inning. In all seriousness, I've gone through it...

We've got you completely covered.   Washington Nationals vs. Julio Teheran The Nationals are a very potent offense, starting with Trea Turner in the leadoff spot. Turner is one of the more electric young player sI have ever watched and I think he may end up being one of the best players in the MLB. He has a rare power and speed combo that is extremely rare to see from a middle infielder. He hits righties well (.386 wOBA) and is just as smart as he is talented. You then get a guy like that on-base for the likes of Daniel Murphy and Bryce Harper, who should be getting 100% of the pitcher's attention. Fortunately or Unfortunately for the pitcher, Trea Turner is not going to allow that. He is a lock to steal 2nd if he gets on base and will try to go to 3rd if the situation calls for it. We know what we're getting with Harper and Murphy. 2 lefty boomsticks that can put 2 in the stands with a blink of an eye. We're then going to have Zimmerman or Lind at 1st, who are both quality plays. Brian Goodwin has been seeing the top of the order against righties and makes for a nice play if he's there once again. The Nats are a team that gives you production from a few players and you can generally figure out who those guys are going to be. They face off with Julio Teheran, who we touched on a ton in the main picks article. He is absolutely horrible against lefties and is currently hold a .397 wOBA against them. It's always been a big problem for Tehran and it looks like he's far from over it. All in all, the Nats are a stack you can target in both cash games and tournaments. Main Stack - Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Ryan Zimmerman Sneaky Stack - Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Brian Goodwin Minnesota Twins If you don't want to ride the Nationals wave for whatever reason or feel like getting a bit risky, the Twins are one of...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Corey Kluber FD 10200 DK 12500 Opponent - LAD (McCarthy) Park - @CLE FD - 38.95 DK - 25.63 This is a very average slate in terms of pitching. We have a few solid options and then a couple more guys you can consider in tournaments. Our top tier cash game option is going to be Corey Kluber, facing off with the Dodgers at home in Progressive Field. Kluber has been great this season, posting a .315 wOBA on a .334 BABIP. He's striking out over 10 batters per 9 innings and is holding opposing batters to a 19% line drive rate. Kluber is the true ace he was a few years back and he's been everything the Indians could possibly hope for. His opponent, the Dodgers, are not a group you want to target too often. By the numbers, they're league average against righties. However, they have guys like Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, and Justin Turner that can do a lot of damage. They can also strikeout a lot, which is a lot more likely against the Klubot. The bottom of the order isn't something to be scared of, consisting of guys like Joc Pederson and Chris Taylor. Against Kluber, those guys are going to have a tough time hitting the ball. Kluber has been over 40 FanDuel points in 4 of his last 5 starts and likely makes it 5 of 6 here. His ownership is going to be high, but it is what it is. He's the safest option on the board and you can guarantee yourself a shot at cashing in cash games no matter how your bats perform. Michael Pineda FD 8700 DK 11100 Opponent - LAA (Shoemaker) Park - @LAA FD - 31.44 DK - 20.73 If we're talking about pitchers who have been extremely impressive this season, Michael Pineda has to be in the top 5. He has been extremely good and even more consistent, which has always been something he craved. Pineda has been even better than Kluber when you look at wOBA, sitting at a crazy .296. He is seeing a bit more luck than Kluber and his wOBA should rise to around .320. Still, absolute dominance. He's striking out a batter per...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Stephen Strasburg FD 11400 DK 12700 Opponent - ATL (Foltynewicz) Park - @WSH FD - 42.33 DK - 27.89 With most 9 game slates, pitching isn't this horrible. You will typically have at least 3 strong options, with some more tournament guys. Tonight, you have Stephen Strasburg and then you have nothing. Sure, Yu Darvish and Jacob DeGrom have more than enough upside in tournaments. They also both face top 5 offenses, so I won't be touching them in cash games. Strasburg on the other hand, gets one of the friendlier match-ups in baseball, the Atlanta Braves without Freddie Freeman. Strasburg pitched against these guys just a few days after Freeman got hurt, tossing 7.2 innings and striking out 11. This has been his best season yet, showing a level of consistency that has been dreamed of in years past. Strasburg may be turning into the guy we all thought he would be when he was 21 and throwing 101 in his debut. He's sported a .236 wOBA against lefties and a .273 against righties, while striking out 10 batters per 9 innings. Matt Kemp and Matt Adams are the 2 biggest bats to fear on the Braves, which should give you a good idea of the lineup quality. They have pulled through at home a few times, but Nationals Park is a bit more favorable for pitching and I see Strasburg dominating here. In cash games, I will have 110% Stephen Strasburg on every site. Masahiro Tanaka FD 7900 DK 7800 Opponent - LAA (Meyer) Park - @LAA FD - 29.37 DK - 19.5 Yes, DeGrom and Darvish are the 2 guys with the highest raw expectation after Strasburg. They are just way too expensive to consider as an SP2 due to the bats being so expensive on the slate. If you want to force it, I don't hate it. I just find it a bit scary to target either of those guys when you will have to punt everywhere else and may still see a lackluster start. Moving down a tad, we have Masahiro Tanaka and the Yankees moving into Angels Stadium. Tanaka has been hit around lately, but has also shown some extreme dominance in the same time frame....

We've got you completely covered. Washington Nationals Austin Bibens-Dirkx is getting another shot, for whatever reason. He's not good, he's not going to be good and he has never been good. I hope he is a success story and turns into the next R.A. Dickey. I just don't see it. He's 32 years old and has been making way around the minors, all the while struggling and being sent down to A+ at 29 years old. He has since held a 4.89 SIERA, which I guess makes him worthy of a call-up. Either way, he's starting today against the Washington Nationals. Because of his experience, I doubt he gives up 8 runs in an inning. I expect 3 or 4 innings and 2 or runs and then a bullpen game. The Nationals have hit righties well this year and we all know why. Some guys named Daniel Murphy and Bryce Harper. They are the 2 top options here, with Trea Turner coming in as a close 3rd. In a stack, I will have all 3. I don't think you need anyone for your 4th spot, but Rendon or Zimmerman are the favorites. The Nationals are holding an implied team total over 5 and are my favorite team on the slate. Main Stack - Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Trea Turner, Ryan Zimmerman Sneaky Stack - Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Trea Turner, Anthony Rendon Boston Red Sox We have the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox facing off on Sunday Night Baseball. The Red Sox will look to have some fun, facing off with the subpar lefty in Daniel Norris. Norris has been bad against everyone this year, but is typically going to struggle against righties. With a .341 wOBA against righties in '17, a move to Fenway certainly won't help. Hanley Ramirez and Chris Young are the 2 best bats against lefties and both are actually really cheap across the industry. We then move into guys like Mookie Betts and Bogaerts, who are a bit pricey but very worth it. In a stack, you can go a lot of different ways with the Red Sox....
