Pitchers Jose Berrios FD 9800 DK 11300 Opponent - KC (Hammel) Park - @KCFD - 30.24 DK - 20.02 We touched on Carrasco and Sale in this early slate, so we'll look at a third option here in Jose Berrios. Berrios, a youngster at just 23, has been more than impressive on the season. Against lefties, Berrios has posted a .293 wOBA and 17% LD rate. Against righties, we see numbers comparable to the likes of elite pitchers. A .224 wOBA, 10.36 K9 and a 17% hard contact rate against righties is insane, especially for a guy who struggled just a year ago. He was one of the top 2 pitching prospects for a few years in the MLB and looks to be paying off in a big way. This is a guy who we may see as an ace for the next8-10 years. He's that good. He also faces a Royals team that is pretty inept, inside the spacious Kauffman Stadium. The Royals hold the 3rd lowest implied run total on the slate and the 2nd highest K projection. Sale is obviously the king of this slate, but Berrios is cheaper and has the upside to put up a very solid game. Rich Hill FD 8600 DK 11300 Opponent - SD (Overton) Park - @SDFD - 11.47 DK - 7.55 Wow, this late slate is pretty tough from a pitching point of view. We touched on Greinke in the main picks article and he's the only guy I have some confidence. in. Still, he's in Chase Field and facing a pretty lethal offense if they have it going. After Greinke, there isn't much to fall in love with. We'll take a look at Rich Hill, who is definitely one of the more talented pitchers on the day. He's struggled with blisters in a big way over the past year or so, but has been excellent when on the mound. He's been up an down the year with all of the blisters, but held a .234 wOBA combined in 2016. While you can't expect that again, he's obviously a great pitcher...

We've got you completely covered. Texas Rangers On this 4-game early slate, there isn't neccesarily any one offense that stands out. With that being said, if you had to pick 1, it's the Rangers. They face the worst pitcher on this early slate in Derek Holland, who has allowed a .382 wOBA against righties. He's not unlucky either, holding a very normal .303 BABIP. The fact of the matter is that Derek Holland gets obliterated by right-handed hitting. In 67 innings so far this season, he's allowed 16 homers and 34 XBH altogether. Insane numbers. He'll host the Rangers today in Guaranteed Rate Field, which has ranked in the top 10 for hitting for a few years now. This entire lineup is worthy of consideration, though a few guys definitely stand out. Adrian Beltre is my top play of the lineup, being a guy who has held a .400+ wOBA against lefties plenty of times and still has the sauce. You then get into the Deshields, Lucroy, and Andrus. They are all 3 extremely safe and can be played in both cash games and tournaments. Getting a bit riskier, you can look at Mike Napoli and Robinson Chirinos. They both may be in the bottom of the order, but hit lefties much better and should draw low ownership. This isn't a team we expect to score 80 runs, but it is the top offense on the respective small slate. Main Stack - Delino DeShields, Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, Jonathan Lucroy Sneaky Stack - Adrian Beltre, Jonathan Lucroy, Mike Napoli, Robinson Chirinos Chicago Cubs Moving onto the late slate, we obviously have a few more offenses to choose from. We're going to go with the Cubs, facing with Reds in Great American Ballpark. While the Cubs go shutdown yesterday, don't expect it again. This ballpark is extremely friendly for hitters and it's a big reason the game holds an 11 over/under. The Cubs will see the young arm of Jackson Stephens. This will b his first appearance in the majors, so we don't have too much to go off of. In the minors, he was...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 7/1/17 June has come to an end, July is upon us, soon we'll be at the All Star break, and before you know it, the pennant races heat up. For now however we have a full day of major league action. While Draftkings has contests scheduled nearly every hour, FanDuel is running an early only slate with 2 "main" slates starting with the 4:00 and 7:00 eastern sets of games. The picks for today are broken down into early and late with early being the first 4 games on the day, and late being everything from 4PM on, with recommendations for both main slates. We've got some solid arms going early on, with plenty of bats in the later set but no good pitchers, so there's a lot to cover. Let's dive in. Pitcher EARLY Chris Sale FD 11600 DK 13500 Opponent - TOR (Liriano) Park - @TORFD - 42.52 DK - 28.06 Every five days or so this is where we start out and rightfully so. For every statistic that matters, particularly in MLB DFS, Chris Sale is absolutely dominating through the first half of the season. His 12.27 K/9 is not only tops in baseball, it is also 2 whole batters higher than his career average. His 2.62 xFIP is also the best around. He's limiting the baserunners, cutting out the free passes, allowing only 1.66 BB/9, and keeping the ball in the yard. Sure, he's going to eat a hefty chunk of your salary, but the return on investment you get with Sale can't be denied as he's about as safe an arm as you'll find in baseball. Through his last 5 starts Sale has struck out an average of 9 batters per game while allowing no more than three runs and lasting a minimum of 6 innings through each start. Today he faces the Blue Jays, who try as they might can't put their early season struggles behind them and still rank dead last in the AL East. Toronto strikes out only 20.6% of the time, but that of course is an average, and Chris Sale is anything but average. He's pretty much match up proof, and of course is an elite play today in all formats. Carlos Carrasco FD 9300...

We've got you completely covered.   Boston Red Sox The Red Sox are a team we loved last night and it certainly paid off. They beat up Hector Santiago and ended up putting up a ton of runs. They now run into Adalberto Mejia, who is probably worse than Santiago. Mejia has allowed a .351 wOBA to lefties a .364 to righties. He's been absolutely horrible in every start and hasn't shown any signs of getting better. He has similar HR problem as Santiago as well, allowing 7 homers in just over 30 innings. Mejia is simply below average and is no match for a Red Sox squad that is hitting the way they are. When looking at who to target, it will all depend on Hanley. If he's back in the order, he's a must in a stack. He murders lefties and along with Chris Young, have to be in your Sox stack. You then get into Bogaerts, Pedroia, and Betts. hey are all tremendous options and can be interchanged at any point. After those 5 (Hanley, Young, Betts, Pedroia, Bogaerts), there is a steep downfall. You can target the bottom of the order, but just know you're truly winging it. The top of the order is elite and you should certainly look to gain exposure in both cash and tournaments. Main Stack - Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia, Chris Young Sneaky Stack - Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez, Chris Young, Xander Bogaerts Toronto Blue Jays The Blue Jays heavily disappointed a lot of people last night, which will hopefully work in our favor tonight with dropped ownerships. The Jays did have a great match-up yesterday, but it was against a righty, who they're worse against. Tonight comes a lefty in the form of Wade Miley. Miley isn't tough to figure out. He has posted a .350 wOBA against righties in back to back years and at 30 years old, he isn't changing. Miley also gave up 22 home runs against righties in 2016, which is pretty nuts. He does play his home games at Camden Yards, though the Rogers Centre is still a...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitchers Marcus Stroman FD 8600 DK 9000 Opponent - BAL (Miley) Park - @TOR FD - 31.63 DK - 20.92 We touched on Stephen Strasburg and Ivan Nova in the main picks article and they remain phenomenal plays in both cash games and tournaments. We'll now move onto Marcus Stroman, who was added as the starting pitcher a bit late. He faces off with the Orioles, a team that strikes out a ton. They have held a 24% K rate dating back to 2016 against lefties and they are still the same team. Chris Davis, Mark Trumbo, and Manny Machado all have the ability to K 3 times and while they may park 1 in the seats, it'll even out. The rest of the order is filled with guys like Trey Mancini and Welington Castillo, who hold high K rates and are very boom or bust. Marcus Stroman is a very good young pitcher and has been seeing very bad luck against righties (.344 BABIP). He strikes out close to 8 per 9 innings and is a pretty safe cash game option against most teams. In this match-up, reserve Stroman for tournaments. The Orioles are a very boom or bust team and it'll rub off onto Stroman. Don't be afraid to take a shot, however, as he can have one of his best games in a while. Let's take a look at an even cheaper option Hyun-Jin Ryu FD 7000 DK 7400 Opponent - LAA (Meyer) Park - @LAA FD - 26.74 DK - 17.71 Ugh, I never wanted to play this guy again. He's a pretty tough one to gauge, but used to be a very consistent and good pitcher. In 2014, Ryu posted a sub .290 wOBA against both lefties and righties. He has definitely gotten about 100 injuries since then and is not the same pitcher he once was. With that being said, he's shown some great signs as of late and may be getting some of his old tools back. He certainly gets the right match-up to get it done, as the Angels are certainly one...
