We've got you completely covered. Kansas City Royals The White Sox rotation is just embarrassing. Without Jose Quintana, it's like a bunch of different faulty pitching machines that can't be figured out. Today, it's Derek Holland once again. As a lefty, Holland has been one of the worst pitchers in the league against righties with a .397 wOBA. He's allowed 23 homers to righties and while I don't think it should be possible, it will only go up. There's a chance he might actually work with one of those charities who give money away when an HR is hit. Giving up HR's is certainly his best skill against righties and faces off with some guys who have to hit in Kauffman Stadium. Kepp in mind, a guy like Lorenzo Cain is suppressed mightily by the ballpark. He is one of the best OF's in this league and in Guaranteed ate Field, has the opportunity to show that. He's my favorite Royal and my favorite overall bat on the slate. After him, you can go anywhere. If we think Holland will be knocked out early, don't be afraid to jump on a few lefties. They will be 5-10% owned and could easily see 2 or 3 bats against a righty bullpen arm. Main Stack - Lorenzo Cain, Whit Merrifield, Melky Cabrera, Jorge Bonifacio Sneaky Stack - Lorenzo Cain, Melky Cabrera, Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas Milwuakee Brewers As a Cubs fan, I hate this entire team. As a DFS player, I love them. They have a ton of power against right-handed pitching and can steal bases as well. They have the ability to put up a lot of runs and they seem to do in a blink of an eye. Today, they face off with Sal Romano. Romano is not a big prospect and isn't expected to be long for the majors. While he's only pitched 30 innings and it's far too low to judge anything off, what we have seen is not encouraging. He's given up 4 homers and a .371 combined wOBA against some pretty lackluster teams. He now moves into face a Brewers...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Chris Sale FD 11300 DK 14200 Opponent - NYY (Montgomery) Park - @NYYFD - 40.09 DK - 26.36 In the main picks article, I touched on Corey Kluber and Max Scherzer. In my opinion, they are the top 2 options. They have better match-ups than Sale and are just as good of pitchers. With that being said, we know the type of upside Chris Sale can bring to the table. Tonight, he'll cap the night off and face the Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball. We know the Yankees have some pizzaz and power, but they also strikeout 23% of the time. This Yankees team can go cold and be shut down. We've seen much worse pitchers do it many times to this same squad. Sale is having his best season yet, sporting a .237 wOBA and 12.14 K/9. That's just crazy. His price is high on both sites and I do think he goes a bit under-owned. On DK, Sale should be around 10%. On FD, look for around 15-20%. This isn't the perfect match-up for Sale, but when he's on, there's no such thing as a bad match-up. If his pitches are moving like they're capable of, it doesn't matter who is standing in the box. Kenta Maeda FD 8900 DK 8300 Opponent - SD (Perdomo) Park - @LADFD - 33.97 DK - 22.18 While I personally won't be moving off of Scherzer, Sale, and Kluber, there is a lot of merit in paying down a bit. First things first, Maeda is a very safe option and just as big as a favorite as the top dogs. His price is in the $8K's, which will let you pay up for another 2 or 3 bats. On a slate like this, 2 or 3 bats can be all the difference. Maeda has had a super rocky career, but seems to be consistent for the most part. He's held a .294 combined wOBA on the season and doesn't have trouble with any one particular type of hitter. Instead, he runs into trouble with free-swinging teams that jump on his early-count strikes....

We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Corey Kluber FD 11800 DK 13500 Opponent - TB (Pruitt) Park - @TB FD - 46.82 DK - 31.02 This is one of the more interesting slates we've looked at in a while. With 16 games on the day, we have a plethora of options to choose from. At pitcher, you have plenty of options. While 3 may stand out above the rest, you can go a multitude of different ways in tournaments. Make sure to check out the pitcher-specific article for some tournament pivots. As for cash games, Kluber is going to be the top dog. He has one of the best possible matchups in the league and moves into a top 10 pitching ballpark. If you don't like Kluber here, you are never allowed to play him again. The guy has been elite on the season and there's an argument that he's been the best, sporting a .247 combined wOBA and 12.41 K/9. He has gone over 110 pitches twice on the season and will be trusted to go for 9 innings in the right spot. This Rays team could definitely be that spot, as they've ranked 28th in baseball against righties and strikeout the 2nd most at 25%. While there are a lot of options on the slate, you can expect Kluber to be highly owned. Along with Scherzer, expect 25-30% in cash games. I'll take it all day. Max Scherzer FD 11500 DK 13700 Opponent - SF (Samardzija) Park - @WSH FD - 38.38 DK - 25.38 In cash games, Kluber and Scherzer are easily my favorite options. On FanDuel, it's going to be a coin flip that likely dependent on the opposing lineup strength. Scherzer sees the best possible match-up in baseball against the Giants, who have posted a .291 wOBA against righties on the year. They don't K a ton, but they also don't face Max Scherzer every night. Scherzer averages over 12 K's per 9 and will force a conservative team to K plenty. Against righties, there's no point of stepping in the box. A .193 wOBA and 14.06 K/9 against righties is purely insane and all-time level elite. Against lefties, a .302 average is normal. The Giants are righty heavy and the only lefties...

We've got you completely covered. Kansas City Royals It's James Shields day! As one of the worst pitchers in baseball, we want to pick on him every time he takes the mound. He's been atrocious against both sides of the plate, dating back to 2015. He's allowed a .371 combined wOBA and is striking out just under 7 batters per 9, while walking over 4. Shields is just a bad pitcher at this point and doesn't have too many major league innings left in the tank. This Royals team will move from Kauffman Stadium to Guaranteed Rate Field, which is a huge upgrade. GRF has played top 10 for the past few years for power and run production. This Royals offense may not come off as such, but they are lethal. They can drive in runs with the best of them and have a few guys who can park one in the seats. Mike Moustakas and Eric Hosmer are my 2 favorite plays and I wouldn't sport a Royals stack without either. After that, you can go anywhere. This offense is one of the least concentrated in baseball. Cabrera, Cain, and Merrifield are my next 3 favorites and ultimately a toss-up. Main Stack - Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, Mely Cabrera, Lorenzo Cain Sneaky Stack - Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, Whit Merrifield, Brandon Moss Chicago Cubs The Royals are the clear stack of the night and I don't see there being a 2nd one that stands out. The Cubs do face a lefty in Chase Field, so let's take a look. Patrick Corbin isn't a horrible pitcher, but he struggles mightily against right-handed pitching. he's allowed a .371 wOBA on the year and an astounding 16 homers. The Cubs are obviously one of the more lethal offenses in baseball and you have to respect them against a lefty. Kris Bryant and Willson Contreras are far and away y top plays, with Zobrist and Baez a close 3rd and 4th. This entire lineup can move in a lot of different ways, so wait for it to be announced before you decide on roster construction. They do...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Aaron Nola FD 9500 DK 10400 Opponent - NYM (Matz) Park - @PHIFD - 32.96 DK - 21.77 While you don't really have to pay up at pitcher on this slate, you certainly can. Aaron Nola has been great recently and has plenty of upside in a match-up with the Mets. The Mets aren't a great match-up, but they aren't horrible either. They're ranked 8in baseball in terms of wOBA, but strikeout over 20% of the time. Aaron Nola on the other side, is very consistent. He's held righties to a .358 wOBA and lefties to a .305. He strikes out nearly 9 batters per 9 innings and should be able to limit the damage at home. This slate doesn't have a lot of pitching, so Nola definitely has some safety for his price. I don't think he's a must, but I don't hate it either. Dylan Bundy FD 8100 DK 8400 Opponent - OAK (Manaea) Park - @OAKFD - 26.79 DK - 17.98 We touched on Carlos Martinez and Hyun-Jin Ryu in the main picks article and they both remain top plays on the slate. They are in solid match-ups and should be a somewhat solid bet to come through. Moving down the pricing range a little bit, you run into Dylan Bundy. There's an argument to be made that Bundy is right with Martinez and Ryu. His upside is definitely there, if not higher. Bundy is one of the best prospects in baseball and is expected to be an ace before it's all said and done. The Oakland A's aren't s team you necessarily look to target, but you certainly don't run away. They are average at best against righties and strikeout nearly 22% of the time. Bundy may be a bit risky, but the upside is there and the price is cheap. Try out InGame Fantasy for a totally new DFS experience.
