We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Alex Wood FD 9700 DK 12100 Opponent - PIT (Cole) Park - @PIT FD - 36.12 DK - 23.81 When first glancing at this slate, one thing becomes very clear. Pitching is not easy to find. We have 1 elite option in Alex Wood and then not much after that. Fortunately, we do have a strong cash game option in Alex Wood. Wood and the Dodgers will travel into PNC Park to take on the Pirates, who are very average against lefties with a .316 wOBA. They have some big bats like Andrew McCutchen and Starling Marte, but also have the Chris Stewart and Jordy Mercers of the world to even it out. Wood is having the best season of his career with a .259 combined wOBA and a 9.36 K/9. He has been good in nearly every start and has actually shown ace tendencies. He's the most expensive option on the board, but you really don't have an option in cash games. There is no pivot that you can say with even 50% certainty is as safe as Wood. All in all, he will be in close to 100% of cash games and I will be jumping on board there. As for tournaments, it'll be interesting to see how the trends end up. If Wood is going to be insanely owned, I may make a pivot towards our next guy in GPP's. Tyler Skaggs FD 6600 DK 6700 Opponent - TEX (Hamels) Park - @LAA FD - 29.8 DK - 19.7 If you're a big baseball fan in general, Tyler Skaggs is a name you know. He was a big prospect for a while, came up and produced, and then got hurt. He's now working his way back into things and is allowing close to 100 pitches on his arm each start. Skaggs is an extremely talented starting pitcher and he does have the upside to shut down an offense. As a lefty, I will say Skaggs is much worse against righties. He tends to float the fastball and we all know what can happen when you do that to an Adrian Beltre or Mike Napoli. Still, the Rangers have a bunch of lefties and the righties they do have can strike...

We've got you completely covered. Los Angeles Angels The Angels aren't one of the more popular stacks and I love that. We have the Texas Rangers as the highest implied team with a 6.75, but I can't get behind it. While Miguel Gonzalez isn't good, he's 100x better than James Shields and Derek Hollan. They are pitching machines on legs and we will be targeting them every single time they throw a baseball. Gonzalez on the other hand, is an actual pitcher with hopes and aspirations. Either way, the Rangers are in play. I just think they may see some inflate ownership after the last 2 days and we don't really care what they did the last 2. Instead, this Angels team is one I'll look to be all over. Usually playing in Angels Stadium, this is a huge ballpark upgrade. We saw Trout hit 2 homers in 2 pitches yesterday and he was my top play of the slate. He's once again that and I will have him a ton in both cash games and tournaments. Chris Tillman is bad. There is no way around it. Since the start of the season, he's allowed a .416 wOBA to righties and a .427 to lefties. He's by all means bad and you can target both sides of the plate. Mike Trout and COle Kalhoun are my favorites, with Pujols and Revere following shortly behind. Don't be afraid to target an offense that usually doesn't have an upside at home. That all changes in Camden Yards. Main Stack - Mike Trout, Cole Kalhoun, Albert Pujols, Ben Revere Sneaky Stack - Mike Trout, Cole Kalhoun, Luis Valbuena, C.J. Cron Tampa Bay Rays Once again, I don't think this will end up being one of the more popular stacks of the day. It's somewhat challenging to stack the Rays when you can go to the Rangers or Cubs, who are aesthetically more pleasing. However, FanDuel points don't discriminate. The balls hit in Tampa are worth the same as the ones in Houston. The Rays see one of the best match-ups of the year in Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Brad Peacock FD 8400 DK 9200 Opponent - OAK (Cotton) Park - @HOUFD - 34.01 DK - 22.51 Brad Peacock has slowly solidified himself as a slightly above-average pitcher. He's certainly nothing to write home about, but he's also not a guy you want to target in the slightest. Through less than 100 innings, Peacock has sported a .283 combined wOBA and a VERY impressive 11.75 K/9. He's striking out more batters than ever and it has a lot to do with the introduction to the slider. while he threw it a lot in the past, he's up to 40% this year. Hitters are struggling against it and have only turned it over for a .220 wOBA. Peacock faces a very weak offense here and it shows in the line. The Astros are favored by -204 and are expected to put up over 5 runs, while the A's will sit closer to 3. This is a team that has ranked in the bottom 10 against righties in basically every category, so shoot away. Personally, Peacock will be a guy I get exposure to on SP2 sites. I'm pretty set on the high-end for cash and I think I end up there. Danny Salazar FD 9800 DK 11800 Opponent - KC (Hammel) Park - @KCFD - 32.87 DK - 21.77 This is a guy I won't personally be on (can only roster so many), but I completely get it. Salazar has been absolutely dominant recently and it's always exciting when a guy changes his game and sees results. Over the last 5 games, Salazar has struck out 46 batters and has given up just 5 earned runs. He now moves into Kauffmann Stadium to face one of the most boring offenses around. The only problem here is they really don't strikeout, so Salazar will have to find other ways to get outs. Fortunately, this ballpark is absolutely ginormous and anyone has trouble hitting homers, let alone off of Danny Salazar. He should be able to limit the offensive production rather nicely and if he's able to get his K stuff working,...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Madison Bumgarner FD 10400 DK 12400 Opponent - PHI (Lively) Park - @SF FD - 41.74 DK - 27.58 There is no better situation for Madison Bumgarner. He's at home facing off with the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies are the worst team in baseball and are absolutely horrible against lefties. They've ranked 25th in the league with a .299 wOBA and 21% strikeout rate. They have absolutely no power and will struggle to put up runs in this spacious park. Bumgarner is the same guys he has been for the past couple years. Since the start of the season, he's held a .281 wOBA and 21% K rate. AT&T Park is the best park in baseball in limiting runs and this Phillies team is going to have bundles of trouble. Bumgarner is one of the best pitchers in baseball and we can't forget that just because he hasn't done a lot recently. He's the top option in both formats and I don't see it as too close. He will definitely cost you a pretty penny and it'll just come down to how you value your salary. If you're looking for safety, you should probably pay up. Pitchers are far more predictable than hitters and there is also a greater opportunity cost with only 1 on the roster. Jacob deGrom FD 10400 DK 12700 Opponent - MIA (Conley) Park - @NYM FD - 38.11 DK - 25.06 I don't see this as a day to pay down for pitcher(s). While I'll certainly touch on a guy who you can take a flier on in the low-end, it won't be fun. deGrom is the 2nd best play on this slate and he is the same price as Madison Bumgarner. deGrom and the Mets will face off with the lowly Miami Marlins in Citi Field. They have 3 good hitters and 6 poor ones. While definitely a tall task, if deGrom can find a way to get around Stanton, Ozuna, and Yelich, he will be on his way to a dominant outing. As a team, the Marlins rank 15th against righties with a high K%. Even if one of the big 3 does tag deGrom, I don't see him getting flustered and letting it bother the...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Jose Quintana FD 8400 DK 12000 Opponent - TOR (Tepesch) Park - @CHCFD - 35.19 DK - 23.06 If you're playing on this early slate, it's pretty messy. With the Cardinals game possibly raining out, we could see this turn into a 2 game slate. One game has a 10.5 o/u and this one in Wrigley won't be far off. Quintana is really your only reasonable option and he should be close to 80% owned on both sites. He faces off with the Blue Jays, who are visiting Wrigley Field in what is a very weird series. The Blue Jays have ranked 14th in baseball with a .323 wOBA. They also strike out at a 22% clip and practically never walk. Quintana does a good job against both sides of the plate and has posted a .289 combined wOBA. The Jays are definitely better against lefties, but you don't really have a choice. He will very rarely kill you in cash games and this is a slate where it's nearly impossible with the expected outcome and ownership. If Quintana puts up 10, you can still win in cash games. If he puts up 30 and you fade him, you have 0 shot. In a tournament, you can turn and fade him in hopes of an atrocious performance. Personally, I'll throw my hedge $ elsewhere. Ty Blach FD 7300 DK 7100 Opponent - PHI (Eickhoff) Park - @SFFD - 22.97 DK - 15.08 Trust me, I have no desire to roster Ty Blach. Not now and not ever. He barely strikes out 4 batters per 9 innings for god's sake. He's a very weird pitcher that relies on soft contact and luck. In AT&T Park, it works. A team like the Phillies simply can't manufacture runs in a stadium like this. They have 1 or 2 bats that have any type of potential and they are a rookie and a guy with a 30%+ K rate. The Phillies are so bad it's almost difficult to describe it. Think of the 76ers with no draft picks. The '07 Cavs with no LeBron....
