We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Chris Sale FD 11200 DK 13800 Opponent - NYY (Severino) Park - @NYY FD - 40.25 DK - 26.47 As of now, it looks like Chris Sale will be manning the mound tonight. As I'm writing this, it's still listed as N/A on a couple of sites (MLB, ESPN), so just make sure he's confirmed before you plug in anything early. As long as he's out there, you who the top option on the slate is. Sale has faced the Yankees twice in his last 4 starts, going for a combined 14 innings and 21 strikeouts. While pitcher history against a certain team isn't typically something I care about, it is with Chris Sale. He has a tendency to struggle against the same teams over and over again. He has been the best pitcher in baseball this year and is only a few more starts from securing the Cy Young from Corey Kluber. Sale has been insane against both sides of the plate with a combined .241 wOBA and 12 K/9. At this point, we all know how great Chris Sale is. It just comes down to your personal roster construction and if you can fit him or not.  Personally, I think I can find enough value to make it work. In tournaments, however, I'll be fading in a few spots for some high-powered offenses. Mike Fiers FD 8100 DK 9100 Opponent - NYM (Flexen) Park - @HOU FD - 32.27 DK - 21.2 If you're playing on the "main". or early slate, Chris Sale isn't an option. Neither is Luis Severino, Madison Bumgarner, Alex Wood, or Luke Weaver. Instead, you'll have to choose from some very, very lackluster options. Ervin Santana will probably be right with Fiers for the most popular, which should tell you a lot about this crop. Fiers is our favorite at the price and he should be just fine. Just fine is exactly what you're looking for. We'll get to Fiers in a minute, but the real reason you want him is the Mets putrid lineup. The Mets are absolutely atrocious at this point and there's not much arguing who the current worst offense in baseball is. They've struck out 25.2% of the time over the...

We've got you completely covered. Chicago Cubs This early slate if full of options, so feel free to completely ignore me and go with another stack. While I don't think you'll win, there is definitely merit. We have all seen the Cubs disappoint in match-ups better than this. With that being said, they have the best chance of going off on this early patch. Lucas Sims is only 23-years-old and he will be a good pitcher one day, but that day is pretty far away. He may need a full year or two at AA before making a return, because his numbers now are unbearable. He's held a .361 combined wOBA that's backed up with a 5.5 K/9 and a 34% hard contact rate. He's bad. He now moves into Wrigley Field and faces one of the nastiest offenses in the league. There also back on track and playing extremely well. Don't be surprised if the Cubs put up another double-digit performance very soon. When looking towards stacking the Cubs, it's pretty easy. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant are musts and you can't stack the Cubbies without them. Next up is Alex Avila and Kyle Schwarber. Avila may not be on the same level as the other 3 guys in terms of hitting, but he comes in at a weak C position and has held a .381 wOBA against righties on the year. He has power and can do major damage if the likes of Rizzo, Bryant, etc. are on-base. If you want to get crazy, go with the elusive Javier Baez. He's always around 3-5% owned and can bop 2 out in the blink of an eye. Main Stack - Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Alex Avila Sneaky Stack - Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, Kyle Schwarber Los Angeles Angels The late slate actually doesn't have a ton of teams I want to stack. Of course, you can go to Colorado and get exposure to an offense with a 7 implied total. It's just not feasible unless you pay way down at pitcher. We'll instead look at the new...

We've got you completely covered. Jameson Taillon FD 6600 DK 7000 Opponent - CIN (Mahle) Park - @PIT FD - 29.39 DK - 19.41 We will be ignoring the early slate here, as Jerry touched on Kluber and Morton, who are easily the top 2 options. Instead, we'll look towards this 11-game main slate, where things aren't as certain. We also have some high-powered offenses with expensive bats, so there is merit to paying down. Jerry touched on Scherzer, Archer, and Peacock, who all remain viable cash game plays. Personally, I'll be looking towards Scherzer in cash games on FD and Scherzer + Peacock on DK. With that being said, I'll have plenty of these next 2 guys in tournaments. Taillon, especially, is too cheap. Sitting under $7k on both sites is likely the cheapest Taillon will ever be. He's one of the brightest young arms in the game and will be an ace by 2019. He's already raw and showing off his weapons, with a 9 K/9 and elite 18% SwStk rate. He has struggled against lefties with a .360 wOBA, but take it with a grain of salt. Both lefties and righties have been extremely lucky against Tallon with a .352 combined BABIP. The Reds are a bad offense and they'll be moving from a top 5 hitting park to a below average one. Taillon makes a lot of sense as a pay-down option and I can get on board in all formats. If you like one of the expensive options and don't think Scherzer is a must, Taillon gives you plenty to work with. Dan Straily FD 8300 DK 8600 Opponent - PHI (Nola) Park - @MIA FD - 33.82 DK - 22.28 You know what you get when you roster Dan Straily. Especially against an underwhelming lineup like the Phillies. He's held lefties to a .291 wOBA and righties to a .320. He's definitely a guy you don't target bats against, but often doesn't have the floor to compete. Against the Phillies, he very well may. The Phils currently strikeout 23.5% (6th most), but that number is only skyrocketing with Hoskins...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 9/2/17 Welcome friends. The unofficial last weekend of summer is upon us. The pennant chases are heating up for some teams while others are calling up young studs to get an idea what they have to work with next season. Today our cup runneth over with a jam packed 17(!!!) games of MLB action to satisfy your DFS needs. We've got double header action in Houston and San Diego and just to keep us on our toes pricing on DraftKings changes for players based on the slate. We've got aces galore sprinkled throughout the day, with plenty of the usual suspects in good spots at the plate, so what are we still doing up here? Let's move on down to the picks!! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Pitcher EARLY Corey Kluber FD 11300 DK 13200 Opponent - DET (Zimmermann) Park - @DETFD - 47.89 DK - 31.75 He's going to cost you, but for the implied safety it's worth it. On the early slate no one comes close to Corey Kluber who would have been in play regardless just based on what he has done so far this season, but now add in the fact that he is facing a Tigers team that has thrown up the white flag on the season, trading away the only real threat in their lineup. Kluber was rolling along since his return from the DL in early June, racking up the K's start after start, though he's cooled off some in August, recording double digit strikeouts just once in his last four starts. The Tigers are an average offense, striking out 21.4% of the time, with a .325 wOBA and 100 wRC+, and those numbers are with Upton in the lineup. The early rumblings from Vegas have the Indians as -301 favorites today, with those odds, and his propensity to stick around late into games, Kluber's all but guaranteed a win and is the top play in the six game early slate. Charlie Morton FD 8500 DK 9100 Opponent - NYM (Harvey) Park - @HOUFD - 36.15 DK - 23.72 If you're one of those "the price is just too high" types, and I don't fault you if you are, then look to Charlie Morton in game one of the double header...

We've got you completely covered. Baltimore Orioles This early slate has a few different offenses you can target, with the Orioles leading the pack. They welcome the Mariners into hitter-friendly Camden Yards and face off with Ariel Miranda. Miranda was pretty good to start the season, but he's been absolutely horrible as of late. He's allowed at least 2 ER in 11 of his last 13 starts and over 4 runs in 6 of them. He's been atrocious against righties, allowing a .368 wOBA since the ASB. He's definitely going to straighten things out eventually, but he definitely has something going on right now fundamentally. This Orioles team is as lethal as it gets and they do hit lefties better than righties. Manny Machado is the only must-play on the stack, but that mostly speaks to the 7 guys that can hit an HR with ease. You can look up and down this lineup and it's almost hard to argue against anyone. Trumbo is actually one of my favorites, as he will only see around 10% ownership and he can hit 2 bombs with his eyes closed. Go ahead and target a few of these guys as the O's will put up some runs and send some over the fence. They are also much cheaper than Coors Field. Main Stack - Manny Machado, Jonathan Schoop, Tim Beckham, Adam Jones Sneaky Stack - Manny Machado, Trey Mancini, Mark Trumbo, Welington Castillo Minnesota Twins If you've been playing DFS all season long, you don't need much explaining here. You know exactly how bad Derek Holland is and what opposing offenses can do against him. Of course, to preface, he's a major leaguer and he will have a few good starts on the season. This Twins offense is scrappy, however, and I don't see Holland working through more than 4 or 5 innings of troublesome pitching. If you want to know just how bad he is, let's see. Against righties, Holland has allowed a .404 wOBA and 26 home runs in just 99 innings. I have literally checked that fact 3 times because it's so...
