Pitchers Patrick Corbin FD 10000 DK 11500 Opponent - WSH (Jeremy Hellickson) Park - WSH FD - 33.21 DK - 17.06 I love days when we have so many strong pitching options and don't have to consider sacrificing too much at the plate to make them work. At $10K Patrick Corbin is the most expensive arm going on FanDuel today, while on DraftKings, there are a handful of options over the $10K mark, a few more expensive than Corbin. When you look at the numbers, it's hard to understand how Corbin can be so dang cheap. Through his first five starts, Corbin leads the majors with a 1.72 xFIP, while only his teammate Robbie Ray, and Max Scherzer of the opposing Nationals are striking out more per nine than Corbin's 12.96. Scherzer will not be opposing Corbin and the DBacks today either. No, my friend, Washington will counter with Jeremy Hellickson who is terrible. We'll touch more on that in a moment, but know that even against a strong Washington lineup, Corbin is a -136 favorite to win while Vegas projects the Nationals to be one of the lower scoring offenses of the day. While Washington is one of the better teams regarding strikeout percentage, they do fall victim to southpaws a little more easily, whiffing 24.7% of the time. The guys in the picks article are much safer, but based on how he's looked through his first five starts, Corbin has as much upside today as anybody, and won't break the bank while doing so. Jaime Garcia FD 6300 DK 6500 Opponent - TEX (Bartolo Colon) Park - TOR FD - 29.54 DK - 14.57 As I just noted, most of the arms we've given you for today are on the pricey side, and while I think you can pair two top arms on DraftKings and get away with it, I want to throw a little value your way, so I present to you, Jaime Garcia. Garcia takes a 2-1 record into his fifth start...
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/28/18
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/28/18 Welcome DFSR nation to another edition of Saturday MLB picks. As we work through the final weekend of April, we have plenty to consider. The day is split pretty evenly between early and main slate games, with FanDuel breaking the early games into two smaller slates, and if you want exposure to Philly/Atlanta, you'll have to do the all-day slate or the new showdown option on DraftKings. There's a couple of doubleheaders, some weak arms to target and while we have no real studs on the hill, there are still plenty of good arms to consider. Let's get down to the nitty gritty and check out the top picks, shall we? Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer and our new player lab! Pitcher Carlos Carrasco FD 9600 DK 12400 Opponent - SEA (Mike Leake) Park - CLE FD - 38.16 DK - 20.58 We'll open things up today with Carlos Carrasco and the Indians hosting the Mariners. Carrasco is 4-0 through his first five starts of the season and would have that fifth win if not for lack of run support in a seven shutout inning performance against the Twins. After a rough opening against these same Mariners in Seattle when he got knocked for five earned runs in just 5.2 IP Carlos has settled into a nice groove, and currently sports one of the top xFIPs among starting pitchers through the first month of the season (3.55). While he's not throwing K's the same way he did last season (10.17 K/9 in 2017 compared to 7.20 to open this season), the number of K's is on the rise as he managed seven in each of his last two outings. The Mariners don't exactly strike out a ton either, which limits the appeal for Carrasco in tournaments. As a cash play, however, with the tribe as -224 favorites Carrasco is one of the safest plays of the day. David Price FD 8000 DK 11100 Opponent - TB (Yonny Chirinos) Park - BOS FD - 35.16 DK - 18.74 Another huge favorite in the eyes of Vegas is the Boston Red Sox at home against the Rays. Boston opens up as -208 favorites and David Price sees a favorable matchup. Despite the 2.93 ERA, the 4.44 xFIP tells a deeper story on Price through the first five starts of the season. Price...

Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers and Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/21/18 We already highlighted Chris Sale, Garrett Richards, and Stephen Strasburg in our Saturday picks article. We also highlighted the Mariners as a popular game stack at their respective team price point. Here we will look at some other (possible GPP) considerations. Pitchers Carlos Martinez FD 9800 DK 11200 Opponent - CIN (Homer Bailey) Park - STL FD - 38.65 DK - 20.19 On the early slate, you can consider Carlos Martinez against the Reds. Martinez and the Cardinals come into the day as -225 favorites, the best line of the day by far. Martinez has opened up 2018 with an impressive 1.75 ERA and 3.94 xFIP while striking out 10.52 batters per nine. The Reds, who are off to just a terrible start to the season, are striking out at a 24.4% clip while sporting a team wOBA of just .280 and a wRC+ of 73. Busch Stadium is the most favorable park to pitchers on the early slate. Martinez has the most implied safety of any pitcher going in the early, and if he dominates the Cincinnati lineup as he should, then the upside knows no limit. Zack Godley FD 9300 DK 8800 Opponent - SD (Clayton Richard) Park - ARI FD - 37.49 DK - 19.59 On the main slate, Zack Godley presents us with a reasonably priced alternative to Strasburg and Sale priced below $10K across the industry. He doesn't hold quite the same K upside of those other guys, on the season he's striking out less than a batter per inning pitched. The matchup makes up for that, however, as the Padres are nearly as terrible as the Reds with a .301 combined wOBA and a whopping 27% strikeout rate. Godley's coming off a rough outing against the Dodgers in Los Angeles where he allowed them to put up five ER in just four innings. He dominated his first two games before that, going seven full and allowing just one earned run in each. He should be able to right the ship with little trouble tonight in a prime matchup with plenty of upside. Godley is a value priced arm that works in all formats. Stacks Cleveland Indians vs. Chris Tillman (BAL) Francisco Lindor FD 4400 DK 4900 Opponent - BAL (Chris Tillman) Park...
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/21/18
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/21/18 Saturday in the Major League sees split slate action, with six early games, and nine on the main slate. We'll focus primarily on the main slate while giving you some of our projection systems better plays to consider in the early set as well. Let's go position by position to break down the top options of the day. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Chris Sale FD 11500 DK 12000 Opponent - OAK (Sean Manaea) Park - OAK FD - 44.53 DK - 25.06 We'll open things up tonight with Chris Sale in Oakland where the Sox continue their weekend series with the A's. Despite having just one win under his belt to open the season Sale has still been his dominant self. He's surrendered three earned runs in four starts and is striking out 12.68 batters per nine. As we approach the end of the opening month of the season, he's rocking a top five xFIP of 2.25 picking up right where he left off last season. The Athletics have an above average .325 team wOBA against southpaws, but they strikeout 23.2% of the time against the split while walking just 6.6% of the time. The one concern, if you can call it that, with Sale is that he hasn't gone more than six innings through his first four starts, though when he does go deep, he's going to pay off huge. Primarily Sale is my lock for cash games with the K upside providing safety even in just a five or six inning night, with potential for huge GPP upside as well. Stephen Strasburg FD 9800 DK 10500 Opponent - LAD (Hyun-Jin Ryu) Park - LAD FD - 39.27 DK - 21.53 If you just can't quite make the funds work in your favor to get Sale, you can always take the savings on Stephen Strasburg. Stras hasn't been as dominant at the dish as Sale has been to open the season. He's run into trouble on a couple of occasions, but when he's locked in, he's got as much upside. Coming off a season where he finished in the top ten in K/9 (10.47) and xFIP (3.27) we know Strasburg has the right stuff, but he's only put together two quality starts through his first four of this year with a concerning...
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/17/18
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/17/18 Major league Tuesday brings us a full day of action with 16 games. The Blue Jays and Royals will play a doubleheader, while MIA/NYY and BAL/DET will comprise a micro early slate. With 13 games on the main, we've got plenty to pore through to find the top value plays of the day. Let's go through position by position to see our projection system's top plays. Pitcher Corey Kluber FD 11400 DK 12100 Opponent - MIN (Jake Odorizzi) Park - MINFD - 44.16 DK - 24.45 We'll open up tonight's picks with one of my favorite arms to lock in every five days or so, Corey Kluber. I wrote up Kluber in our pitchers/stacks article on Saturday before the Indians game against the Jays was postponed. Here's a little snippet of what I wrote about Kluber then: Corey Kluber ended 2017 with the lowest xFIP among all qualified pitchers in the game (2.52). After a subpar start to the season, the Indians placed Kluber on the DL, and he returned a new man, and possibly with a bionic arm. He ended the season with 18 wins, five complete games, three shutouts, a 0.869 WHIP and 11.71 K/9. He's picking up this season right where he left off. Through three starts CK has thrown 23 innings, allowing four earned runs, on 11 hits while striking out 10.57 batters per nine. Nothing has changed. The Indians have had three days off, and Kluber's been inactive since last Monday against the Tigers. The tribe are still huge favorites (-197) against a Twins team that are slightly above average with a .324 team wOBA against RHP while striking out 24.9% of the time against the split. Kluber's my favorite arm on the slate and it isn't even close. Zack Wheeler FD 6300 DK 7700 Opponent - WSH (Gio Gonzalez) Park - NYMFD - 29.35 DK - 15 Zack Wheeler will take the hill for the Mets tonight in a game that is basically a pick'em. The opening line from Vegas has both Washington and New York at -104. With odds like that why pay up for Gio Gonzalez when we can get Wheeler for significantly less as an SP2 on DraftKings, or a solid GPP option on FanDuel? Wheeler threw a gem in his...
