Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Chris Sale and Steven Matz in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets John Lackey FD 8900 DK 10900 Opponent - STL (Leake) Park - @CHCFD - 36.08 DK - 23.7 Workhorse, John Lackey, will be going up against his former team (Cardinals) today! In three games against them this season, he has been able to deliver a quality start for his squad in each of those meetings. What did you expect from the veteran?! He's a workhorse. Lackey has not lost a beat at the age of 37. He is coming into today's contest sporting a 3.73 xFIP to go along with jaw dropping 25.7 K%. This kid -- I mean man, has been dominant this season and look for him to bring a little something extra to the table against the Red Birds. The Cubs are heavily favored in this contest, so you have to like his chances of picking up the win. Rick Porcello FD 9400 DK 11400 Opponent - ARI (Greinke) Park - @BOSFD - 32.48 DK - 21.23 Rick Porcello has been a man on a mission and has shocked the world this year. He owns a 3.40 ERA on the year to go along with a 1.08 WHIP and 16.9 K-BB%. He has been excellent for the Red Sox this season and is a guy to consider plugging into your DFS rosters today. He will be going up against the D'Backs who have been struggling as of late. In the last 30 days, they possess a .302...

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Cleveland Indians vs. Jered Weaver (LAA) Is this Indians' offense ever going to slow down? They just keep scoring runs left-and-right and I see that trend continuing today. This time, they will be going up against soft tossing, Jered Weaver. Weaver was once a pitcher we all feared, but that's not the case anymore. He is coming into today's contest boasting an ERA, FIP and xFIP well over five, to go along with a 5.8 K-BB%. Things have not been going good for the veteran, and facing the hottest team since the All-Star break certainly won't help him out. I expect Cleveland to have another big day today! My top 4 guys to stack: Jose Ramirez, Mike Napoli, Jason Kipnis and Fransico Lindor Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cody Reed (MIL) This game has the highest O/U of the day at 9.5 (Tigers-Indians as well), so look for this game to be very high scoring. (I think it will go over 9.5 runs). We got Cody Reed on the mound today, which is why I'm all over the Brewers. Cody Reed looked excellent...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!   PITCHER Chris Sale FD 10500 DK 12000 Opponent - MIA (Koehler) Park - @MIAFD - 37.07 DK - 24.61 Chris Sale is the highest priced guy on today's slate, but our projection system suggests he's worth the investment. He has been one of the most dominant pitchers over the last few years, and this year has been no different. He is coming into today's contest boasting a 19.0K-BB% along with a 3.16 ERA. He's a guy that has major upside and pitching against the Marlins will certainly help. While the Marlins do have some guys that smash lefties, as a whole -- they have been below average. On the year, they own a 22.5 K% (12th in MLB) along with a .317 wOBA (19th in MLB). They strikeout at a high rate and don't hit for a very high average, which makes Chris Sale an excellent play in all formats today. Steven Matz FD 9600 DK 8800 Opponent - SD (Richard) Park - @NYMFD - 35.34 DK - 23.11 If you don't want to pay-up for Chris Sale, the go ahead and grab southpaw Steven Matz. He has been excellent this season, posting a 3.32 xFIP to go along with a 23.1 K%. Not only are his numbers been spectacular, but he will also be pitching at home! In case you didn't know, Citi Field is one of the friendliest parks to pitchers, which makes this match-up even sweeter. Similar to Sale, Matz also has a high ceiling today, as he will be going up against the San Diego Padres. The Padres have hit southpaws well this season, but they have also own the third highest K% against them. I wouldn't be surprised if Matz hit double-digit strikeout numbers today. CATCHER Buster Posey FD 3400 DK 4400 Opponent - BAL (Miley)...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Masahiro Tanaka and Jacob deGrom in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Early Slate Targets Kyle Hendricks FD 9400 DK 11400 Opponent - STL (Weaver) Park - @CHCFD - 33.41 DK - 21.91 No clear-cut cash game pitcher on the early slate, which always makes things interesting. In the main picks article we mentioned Tanaka, so I'll go ahead and go with Kyle Hendricks. He does not have the best of matchups against the Cardinals, but the Cubs are red-hot. They are coming into today's contest winning 11 games in a row. Their offense has been on fire, so I expect Hendricks to get some run support and possibly pick up the W. Not only I'm I looking at run support, but I'm also look at Hendricks from a talent perspective. On the year, he owns a 1.07 WHIP, 21.4 K% and 3.35 FIP. He has a solid K%, which will help his upside in tournaments and also doesn't allow many runners to get on base. He is the best pitcher on this slate (raw talent wise), so I'll go ahead and use him in all formats. Interesting Fact: Hendricks owns a 1.05 ERA in his last five starts. Main Slate Targets Madison Bumgarner FD 11400 DK 12700 Opponent - BAL (Gausman) Park - @SFFD - 38.91 DK - 25.59 Mad-Bum against the Orioles is an extremely sneaky play in my opinion. Yes, the Orioles have a ton of big bats, but as a team they have struggled against southpaws. On the year, they...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Boston Red Sox vs. Archie Bradley (ARI) The Red Sox put on quite a show last night scoring 9 runs, and I'm expecting them to have another big night. They will be going up against Archie Bradley tonight, who has struggled mightily this season. He is coming into this contest sporting an 11.5 BB% to go along with 1.51 WHIP. Those statistics are just yelling out trouble to me, especially against an offense that is loaded from top-to-bottom. Not only does he struggle with control, but he also gets hit hard! On the year, opponents own a 38.1% hard contact rate against the northpaw. Giving up free passes and hard hit balls won't help you out against this dominant offense, so look for the Red Sox to pounce on the struggling 24-year-old. My top 4 guys to stack: David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez, Travis Shaw and Xander Bogaerts Minnesota Twins vs. Dillon Gee (KC) The Twins have just been on пожар! (That's fire in Bulgarian). They have been the hottest team in baseball over the last 14 days, with a .374 wOBA,...
