Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Felix Hernandez and Max Scherzer in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Chris Sale FD 10500 DK 12000 Opponent - OAK (Detwiler) Park - @CHWFD - 37.06 DK - 24.3 Felix Hernandez and Max Scherzer will be the focus on tonight's slate, but don't sleep on southpaw, Chris Sale! This kid is pretty darn good! On the year, the southpaw is boasting a 24.5 K%, 1.04 WHIP and 3.74 xFIP. Sale has had another great year with the White Sox this season, and has an intriguing matchup going up against the Athletics. While the A's don't strikeout a whole lot (under 20% on the year), this is still a great matchup for Sale. In the last two weeks, the A's own a .294 wOBA and .84 wRC+, which both rank 27th during that span. They have also struggled offensively all season long, so go ahead and use Sale in some GPP's. A K% under 20 is never a good thing, but hey -- the Braves also strikeout under 20% (Scherzer's matchup) and Sale does own a 24.5 K%! Do your thing, Mr. Sale! Robbie Ray FD 8300 DK 10300 Opponent - SD (Richard) Park - @SDFD - 34.52 DK - 22.7 Robbie Ray is an excellent GPP play of the day! He get's a huge park boost, heading from Arizona to San Diego, which will certainly help him out. The other thing I love about Ray today is his matchup. He will be going up against the Padres, which is a team...

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Washington Nationals vs. Chad Bettis (COL) This might be an obvious stack, but I don't care! There's a lot of different ways to approach tonight, but we always have to look at Coors. Today we got Gio Gonzalez vs. Chad Bettis on the bump, in Colorado. You could probably stack against either one of these pitchers, but I prefer to do it against Mr. Bettis. The Nationals have been one of the hottest teams and baseball and are now at Coors Field! What is there not to like?! Well maybe their prices, but that's a different story. In their last 14 contests, they own a 111 wRC+ (11th in MLB) to go along with a .340 wOBA (8th in MLB) and .204 ISO (4th in MLB). Chad Bettis is a solid pitcher with a 4.02 xFIP, but opponents own a .288 AVG against him. He gets hit often, so look for the Nats' to take advantage at beautiful Coors Field. My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Trea Turner, Anthony Rendon, Daniel Murphy and Jayson Werth...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Corey Kluber and Kenta Maeda in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Noah Syndergaard FD 10000 DK 11000 Opponent - ARI (Shipley) Park - @ARIFD - 34.09 DK - 22.76 At the top of our projection system we have Corey Kluber scoring the most fantasy points, but right after him is a guy we call, Thor. Although, I'm a big fan of Justin Verlander and Danny Duffy tonight, it makes sense why the system would put Syndergaard ahead. He's a heavier favorite going up against Braden Shipley, which increases his chances of picking up the win. Verlander and Duffy are absolute studs, but they might cancel each other out going head-to-head. (I love them in tournaments) Syndergaard has had an interesting year to say the least. He's been battling quite a few injuries and has been up-and-down this season. Believe it or not, his numbers are still outstanding. His ERA, FIP, SIERA and xFIP are all under three and he owns an insane 29.1 K%! I guess his down isn't really down and we just have super high expectation for the kid. Whatever the case may be, this kid is an excellent pitcher and his peripherals back it up. Today, Syndergaard draws an interesting matchup against the D'Backs. This game is on the road at Chase Field, so it isn't ideal, but I still love his upside. Like I mentioned earlier: Thor owns a 29.1 K% -- but what makes this even sweeter is the fact that the D'Backs own a 23.0...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Robbie Ray and Felix Hernandez in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Drew Smyly FD 8500 DK 9000 Opponent - SD (Perdomo) Park - @TBFD - 35.9 DK - 23.93 Drew Smyly?! But Nick -- he owns a 5.14 ERA! I honestly don't care about his ERA. His xFIP is at 4.27 and he's a solid pitcher. Not only is his xFIP much better than his ERA, but he also draws a beautiful matchup going up against the Padres; at spacious Tropicana Field. He has major upside in this contest, as the Padres own a 24.4 K% against left-handed pitchers on the year. Not only do they own an extremely high K%, but Smyly also does some fanning of his own. He sports a 23.6 K% on the year to go along with a 6.3 BB%. I love the matchup for Smyly today and I believe he is a great play in all formats tonight. Matt Moore FD 8800 DK 8800 Opponent - PIT (Vogelsong) Park - @SFFD - 36.89 DK - 24.35 Matt Moore and the Giants will be going up against the Pittsburg Pirates. This is an interesting matchup to say the least. There are some pros and cons to this matchup, which is why I'll only use Moore in tournaments. The Pros: The Giants are favorites in this contest with a -145 money line. Matt Moore has looked solid in his last five starts averaging 34.8 Fanduel fantasy points and posting a 2.45 ERA. The Pirates own a 23.4...

Stack Targets Washington Nationals vs. Jorge De La Rosa (COL) We got a 9-game slate on our hands today and one of those games includes, Coors Field. This one in particular is very interesting because the run-total is at 9.5. We usually see it in the 10.5-12 ranges. You might think Coors has finally lost the affect on the people in Vegas, but that's not the reason. The reason why the run-total is so low is because Max Scherzer is on the bump for the Nationals. This definitely makes things interesting and will mess with your head for a bit, but lets just stick to the stack I like a ton -- the Nationals. I'm going to be honest: I'm a pretty big Jorge De La Rosa fan. (Nothing like my love for Jose Quintana and Jon Gray, but I do like him a ton). But I can't let my strange obsession with the southpaw get in the way and I got to stack against him. As much as this hurts my heart, it's obvious why I have to do it: It's because...
