Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 9/14/15 I'll let you in on a little secret. Lean in closely. Have you noticed how Tuesday appears to be the biggest daily fantasy MLB contest of the season? Kind of odd, since NFL just started, right? Won't people be distracted. No. They'll be chasing losses. The unwashed masses who have deposited into DraftKings and FanDuel are now staring down their first week of losses, and they want to get even. That's where we come in. The last month of baseball is truly fishing season - let's get started. By the way - if you find yourself in that group of people chasing an NFL loss, or just want an extra edge? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Clayton Kershaw - FD 13500 DK 15500 StarsDraft Opponent- Col (Gray) R Park- @Lad And frankly, my dear, it isn't even close today. We actually doing wind up recommending Kershaw all that much because there are often so many other more reasonably priced aces, but today is a special day. First of all, it's a short slate, so our options are limited. More importantly, though, this is a dream match-up. Arguably the best match-up possible for a left handed pitcher. The Rockies have the 3rd lowest wOBA against left handed pitching this season, and the 3rd highest K rate. And the real kicker? Those numbers include both home and road games. They've got the 2nd lowest overall wOBA and the second highest K rate overall on the road against pitchers of all handedness. Kershaw's ceiling knows no bounds, here. And the Rockies starting the young and not so good Jonathan Gray only helps matters. Garrett Richards - FD 8400 DK 9800 StarsDraft Opponent- Sea (Walker) R Park- @Sea So in the interest of full disclosure, I'll play Kershaw in every 50/50 and double-up tonight, so these last two plays are more for big tournaments, for me. But, if you are just too concerned with the price tag, Richards might make a pretty good play for those formats too. After an odd early season dip in his K/9, Richards has been a strikeout per inning guy since the beginning of August. While he has some bad starts on his 2015 resume for sure, he presents the high teens/low twenties FanDuel fantasy points upside that you won't really find in many guys at this price point. He also has a...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 9/13/15 You there. I know why you're here. A) You aren't a football guy, and feel disgusted by the beginning of the NFL season. B) You know you will be miserable when Sam Bradford gets carted off the field in the first quarter, and want an additional sweat so you can keep hope alive, and not be impossible to be around for your friends and family. If you want our week 1 picks, by the way, check...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 9/12/15 Week 1 of the NFL, another week of College Football, and then... baseball. But we die-hards are still going to go at this thing until the last gasp of fall ball, doing our best to make a buck along the way. One interesting note - the first week of baseball AFTER week 1 of the NFL is always huge. Why? All the football junkies are busy chasing their losses. So get your tools sharpened, and let's get eating. If you want our week 1 picks, check out Chris Raybon's week 1 NFL picks article. As for today's picks - it's a split slate, and I'll give a guy per position at the early slate, and a couple plays for the later bigger slate. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Early Slate Lance Lynn - FD 8200 DK 10200 StarsDraft Opponent- Cin (Desclafani) R Park- @Cin A lot of people will go with Cueto for the early slate, but I'm of the opinion that he's simply worn out at this point in the season. Unfortunately, that leaves us with precious few options. So, I'm going to throw my hat in with Lance Lynn. And yes, I know he is coming off his worst start of the season. But let's have a look, shall we? First of all, Lance Lynn was slightly overrated because of his ERA last year and his big win total in 2012. In reality, he's basically a slightly above league average pitcher with a nice K rate but something of a lack of command. At this point, though, he's priced very affordable for what he is. And there aren't a lot of options early. Did I mention that? So today, Lynn will take on the Reds, who in spite of the big names they possess, have the 20th highest wOBA in the majors. They're are also starting the young and below league average Anthony Desclafani, making this a nice spot to go grab a W. Lynn's a good cash game play here, and I'd consider him in big tournaments as well. Late Slate Madison Bumgarner - FD 12600 DK 12200 StarsDraft Opponent- SD (Kennedy) R Park- @SF After the dearth of good top dollar pitching in the early slate, Bumgarner comes as a breath of fresh air. He's an ace's ace, with a top 9 K/9 and xFIP, and the league's 6th stingiest...

Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Oof, and I thought pitching was a rough shout yesterday. Today it's all over the place. The quality arms seem ridiculously overpriced and the midrange guys make me want to puke. Felix Hernandez - FD 11000 DK 11100 Victiv Opponent- Tex (Holland) L Park- @Sea I want to preface this by saying the pitching today almost makes the slate a stayaway for me. The pricing is very tough and the expectation just might not be there to consider anyone truly safe. It's a lot like how I felt yesterday. Hernandez has strung together a couple of quality starts in a row and his season peripherals, while not King Felix-like, are still fine enough. He's expensive for his K rate at this point, as he's putting down less than a batter an inning. And the Rangers are a competitive offensive team against righties. But the park helps Felix and he's just a smidge cheaper than Arrieta here. I'll take the slight savings and find value in some bats further down. Danny Salazar - FD 9400 DK 10600 Victiv Opponent- Det (Simon) R Park- @Cle The good first: Salazar has struck out more than 10 batters per nine this season and his 3.21 xFIP looks awfully good coming at these prices. He's actually limited the walks (for him) to about two and a half per nine. Those numbers, in the aggregate are pretty tight. Now the bad: dude either has it or very much does not have it. And there isn't often an in between. He's susceptible to big, soul-shattering innings and is facing a very tough Tigers' team who ranks in the top ten against righties this season. Salazar has extreme K-upside and has been able to keep it together over the last month or so. Might be the best per dollar deal on the day. Consider Luis Severino coming cheap on FanDuel, but don't be fooled by the low 2's ERA. His xFIP is in the high 3's. Catchers Yan Gomes - FD 2300 DK 3200 Victiv 5000 Opponent- Det (Simon) R Park- @Cle More about the lack of real catching prospects on this slate than any real confidence in him doing something on the positive end of things. Gomes is player who puts on the catching gear nearly everyday and sits behind the plate. Every once in...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 9/7/15

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 9/7/15 Labor Day is here! Kids up here in the Northeast are headed back to school (suckers), and we get a full slate of Monday baseball to watch while trying to piece together exactly what we're supposed to be celebrating on Labor Day, anyway. To that end, this really is a huge slate of baseball. I'll give you a few great plays for the day, but there's no way I could get to every playable guy with any sort of reasonable analysis. If you want point projections for individual players? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Max Scherzer - FD 10800 DK 12400 Victiv Opponent- NYM (Niese) L Park- @Was This is just a phenomenal value spot for your 50/50s and double-ups. Max hasn't had a win since July, which has greatly depressed his price compared to the kind of pitching he's capable of. This is a good thing for us daily fantasy baseball players. Scherzer is an ace's ace for fantasy purposes - his 10.71 K/9 is the fourth best in the majors among qualified starters, and his 2.96 xFIP is good for 8th. He'll also face the Mets, who, in spite of their recent successes, have still been generally bad against right handed pitching all season. They have the 7th lowest wOBA vs. righties, and are in the top half of the league for strikeout percentage as well. Scherzer's priced as something just under a top tier ace, making him a tremendous value for your 50/50s and double-ups today. Michael Wacha - FD 9400 DK 10300 Victiv Opponent- Chc (Haren) R Park- @Stl Wacha had been one of the most consistent daily fantasy performers for a good stretch before missing a start to get a little rest as we head into September. Well, this is a nice match-up to walk back into. The Cubs have struck out an astronomical 24% of the time (just .1% off the league leading Astros), and have also been worse on the road by any offensive metric. They'll also be trotting out Dan Haren - a shell of his former self, who is sporting the league's 6th worst xFIP. If for some reason you decide to fade Scherzer (I wouldn't), I think Wacha makes for an interesting 50/50 play, but really I think there's a lot of upside here for any format given the opponent. Michael Pineda - FD 8600 DK 8400 Victiv Opponent-...
