Charley Hoffman finished off his final round 69 with a terrific nine foot birdie putt to win the Valero Texas Open by just one shot over Patrick Reed. No one was more excited than Charley himself. Check out the reaction below: Billy Horschel was also pretty excited for Charley as well. The other golfers knew just how much that win meant to Charley after he has come so close over the past month. He just hasn't been able to finish on Sunday's. It was another excellent week for the picks as Charley Hoffman won, Patrick Reed got 2nd and my Canadian of the week Nick Taylor finished T21. While we didn't get top finishes from Summerhays, Kuchar, or McGirt they all made the cut and helped us push our cash game win streak to three straight and seven of the last 10. Lets keep the streak going into next week. The PGA tour will makes it annual trip to TPC Louisiana for the 2016 Zurich Classic. If you like birdies and low scores, this tournament is for you. Get ready for a ton of birdie streaks, eagles, bogey free rounds and all four rounds under 70 bonus points. TPC Louisiana is ranked as one of the Top 10 easiest courses on tour and has seen an average winning score of -19 over the past five years. It is a bit of a different setup than most courses, especially when you look at the Par 4 holes. Of the 10 Par 4's, five are under 403 yards and five are over 475 yards. Nothing in between. This makes it a bit of a mess when trying to focus on a GIR or Proximity stat from a certain distance so I have listed three on the cheatsheet this week. All four of the Par 3's fall between 207 and 221 yards making the long approach distances important. It is tough to peg driving distance or driving accuracy as more...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings, FantasyFeud and FantasyAces – Valero Texas Open

It sucks this was the tournament I missed as three of my picks(Na, Knox, Donald)were on the Sunday leaderboard and all finished inside the Top 5. It was Branden Grace taking home the hardware after an impressive 66 on Sunday for a two stroke victory. Below is a final round highlight video to show you just how good Grace played. This week the PGA Tour heads to San Antonio, Texas for the 2016 Valero Texas Open. The course, TPC San Antonio, is a Par 72 and stretches 7,435 yards. It was designed by Greg Norman with the assistance of Sergio Garcia and opened back in 2010. It has narrow fairways with some very deep, challenging bunkers along with some native areas that can create some unplayable lies. Check out Kevin Na's 16(yes 16) on Hole 9 here back in 2011. The key is to just stay out of the native areas. Period. This week the weather looks to again play a role in our preparation for the tournament as well as the outcome for the players. There is a chance of thunderstorms Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday which will leave the course very soft as the tournament beings on Thursday. This will favor the bombers and I have set Driving Distance as one of the most important stats this week. I say one of the most important as I will also be looking closely at Proximity, more specifically from the 175-200 yard range. The Par 3's are very long(3 longer than 200 yards) and will play over par for the week. The Par 4's are fairly standard with two shorter holes (342 yard 5th hole & the 347 yard 17th hole). Looking at past results from the Top 10 players in 2015 and 2014, I found Par 4 scoring for the average player was -2 in 2014...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings, FantasyFeud and FantasyAces – RBC Heritage

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups RBC Heritage Harbour Town Golf Links - Hilton Head, SC Par 71 - 7,101 Yards It was Danny Willett getting fitted for the Green Jacket late Sunday afternoon as he closed with an impressive 67 to win the Masters. It was an incredible turn of events on the back nine that saw Jordan Spieth collapse on the 12th hole while holding a five stroke lead. After making four straight Birdies to close out the front nine, Speith went Bogey, Bogey, Quadruple Bogey to fall into third at one under par. He fought back the best he could with birdies in two of his next three holes but bogeyed the 17th hole and pared the 18th. As a spectator it clearly looked like the most painful part of the whole afternoon was being the one to place the Green Jackets on Willett's back. I do believe that this experience will only make him stronger going forward. After all he is only 22 years old with a plenty of time for more Green Jackets. On to next week. This week the Tour travels to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the 2016 RBC Heritage. The Course? None other than the Pete Dye/Jack Nicklaus designed Harbour Town Golf Links. One of the shortest on Tour but that doesn't make it less challenging. The course is setup with very narrow fairways which call for strategically placed tee shots if you want to have a shot at the green and birdies. For this reason I will be placing a lot of emphasis on Driving Accuracy and Good Driver Percentage. The greens are smaller than average so not only will be looking Greens in Regulation but more importantly Proximity to the hole. As the course is a Par 71 setup with 11 Par 4's we will also weigh Par 4 Scoring Average highly as well. As always I will weigh Strokes Gained Tee to Green and Putting highly as well. Below are the main stats I am weighting on the cheatsheet this week. Up to 10 PGA Tour stats are used each week. The cheatsheet also provides last...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings, FantasyFeud and FantasyAces – The Masters

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups The Masters Augusta National Golf Club - Augusta, GA Par 72 - 7,435 Yards "Hello Friends" The time has finally come. We have waited a entire year to hear those iconic words from Jim Nantz. It's Masters week! The biggest tournament in golf at the most beautiful golf course on the planet. Before I get into the course and specifics for daily fantasy I want to share this video from Golf Digest that should send chills up your spine and get your head in the game! If that doesn't get you excited for what is about to take place starting Thursday then I don't know what will. Ok let's take a closer look at the course and some key stats that we will be using in our DFS model this week. Augusta National Golf Club is a 7,435 Yard Par 72 that will test even the best golfers in the world. The first thing to look at this week is going to be Driving Distance. Looking at the Par 5's, both Hole 13 (510 Yards) and Hole 15 (530 Yards) should be reachable for everyone but Hole 2 (575 Yards) and Hole 8 (570 Yards) are monsters and will only be reachable by the longest hitters in the field. The Par 4 holes are a mirror of how the Par 5's are set up front nine to back nine. The Front 9 holes are all under 460 yards including the short 350 Yard, Hole #3. The shorter hitters should have no issues with the length of these holes as their approach shots should fall between 150-200 yards depending on the golfer. The Back 9 is a different story. While there are three holes ranging from 440 Yards to 465 Yards, there are two behemoths in the 10th and 11th holes. The 10th is a 495 Yard monster followed by the 505 Yard 11th hole. Pretty much every short hitter is going to have 200+ Yards into the green on their second shot. The take away from all this? Target long hitters and if you are going to mix in a few...

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups Shell Houston Open Golf Club of Houston - Humble, TX Par 72 - 7,441 Yards If you were able to sneak away from family on Sunday you were treated to some fantastic golf. Jason Day took over the World #1 by winning the Dell Match Play on Sunday. He beat Rory McIlroy 1 up in the semi finals then beat Louis Oosthuisen in convincing fashion, 5 & 4 to take home the hardware. He fought back pain all week and nearly withdrew before the tournament even started. Nothing new for Day who has won while fighting pain and adversity many times in the past. He has now won back to back weeks(last weeks Arnold Palmer Invitational Champion) and has six wins in his last 13 worldwide starts. It was also his second Match Play Championship in three years. The Puerto Rico Open was also going on last weekend and was the featured tournament on this site, only because it was the tournament DraftKings was running for daily fantasy. It is because of DFS that I would even consider following this tournament. Thank god for DFS because we were treated to another great finish this Sunday. Tony Finau broke through for his first PGA Tour win after a playoff victory against Steve Marino. He had a chance to close it out on the 18th hole in regulation but missed a 6 footer which forced the playoff. He kept his composure, pushing the playoff to a third hole where he made a terrific bunker shot to set up the birdie that would crown him the champion. Check out the recap from PGATour.com below:   This week the PGA Tour heads to Humble, Texas for the 2016 Shell Houston Open. It is the last tournament before the Masters but we still have a pretty good field of players which includes 12 of the Top 25 players in the world. The Golf Club of Houston is a Par 72, Rees Jones design, that stretches 7,441 yards. The winning score has been -15 or -16 in each of the last...
