Click Here to Purchase PGA Targets Deutsche Bank Championship TPC Boston - Norton, MA Par 71 - 7,297 Yards   The FedEx Cup Playoffs continue this week as the field has been narrowed down to 100 players(Actually just 99 with Danny Willett skipping the playoffs). The Tour heads to a familiar destination in Norton, MA for the 2016 Deutsche Bank Championship. TPC Boston has played host to this event since the PGA Tour playoffs were introduced back in 2003. The course was originally designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 2002. In 2007 Gil Hanse(olympic Course designer) and Brad Faxon took on an extensive remodel of the course. They shortened course and opened up the idea of risk/reward on many of the holes. They also re graded almost every fairway and green and added local "Chocolate Drop" mounds and grass bunkers. TPC Boston isn't considered hard with a winning final score of -15 to -22 over the last five years. Golfers will be just gripping and ripping from the tee as there is a nice mix of driveable Par 4's combined with some tougher landing areas that were created with the remodel. When analyzing the stats on my cheatsheet this week(26 in total) I have decided to concentrate heavily on the Strokes Gained metrics as they cover a golfers entire game. I am leaning heavily on SG: Off the Tee and SG: Approach with Putting and Around the Green sitting right behind in importance. I also like to weigh in Par 4 and 5 scoring combined with Birdie or Better % as it will correlate very closely to DraftKings scoring. Another narrative this week that can't be quantified by a stat is the four remaining Ryder Cup roster spots on the USA team. Davis Love III made it clear that almost anyone inside the Top 100 would be considered and that he wants the eight players already on the team to help pick the final four. Some of the big names in the mix are Bubba Watson, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler, J.B. Holmes, and Jim Furyk to name a few. Let's dig in and take a...

Click Here to Purchase PGA Targets The Barclays Bethpage State Park (Black) - Farmingdale, NY Par 71 - 7,468 Yards Welcome back to another week of daily fantasy golf. The regular season grind is now over as the FedEx Cup Playoffs and the shot at $10,000,000 begins. The Top 125 golfers in FedEx Cup standings will now take part in a four tournament, five week playoff to determine the champion. It all starts at the Barclays where there is a normal cut of Top 70 and ties and at the end of the event the Top 100 in the standings move on to the Deutsche Bank Championship next week. From there the Top 70 move on to the BMW Championship and finally after a week off, the Top 30 golfers in the standings will travel to East Lake for the Tour Championship. Both the Tour Championship and BMW Championship are no cut events. Let's take a look at this week. Round 1 of the playoffs starts this week with the Barclays. The field will consist of just 121 players as Anirban Lahiri, Danny Willett, Sergio Garcia, and Shane Lowry will sit out. This years event will be held at Bethpage State Park(Black Course). It is famous for it's sign as you enter the property "WARNING: The Black Course is an extremely difficult course which we recommend only for highly skilled golfers". Ya, it's a tough course. It is a longer course for a Par 71 and has very tight fairways, thick rough, well placed, difficult bunkers and small greens making it a daunting task. It will most likely be played similar to a US Open this week with a winning score around -5 to -10. Bethpage was last used for this event in 2012 and was also the host to the 2009 and 2002 US Opens. I have highlighted and included all three of these years on my cheatsheet under tournament history.  Below are the keys stats I am weighting this week: Strokes Gained: Tee to Green Strokes Gained: Around the Green with emphasis on Sand Save % Driving Distance/Total Driving Proximity from 175-200 Yards & 200+ Yards Par...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings – Wyndham Championship

Click Here to Purchase PGA Targets Wyndham Championship Sedgefield Country Club - Greensboro, NC Par 70 - 7,127 Yards After a somewhat negative buildup to the Olympics spearheaded by the media, it appeared to be an overwhelming success. It was Great Britain's Justin Rose capturing golf first Gold Medal in 112 years with Sweden's Henrik Stenson taking Silver and the USA's Matt Kuchar taking home the Silver. You could really get a feel from watching and listening to the players that this competition had more of a Major Championship feel than just a regular tour event or even a World Golf Championship event. I can't wait for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. This week the PGA Tour is back on it's regular schedule with the Wyndham Championship from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. It will be the very last event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs begin next week at the Barclays. That means anyone outside the Top 125 will be busting it hard to get enough points to get inside the playoff cut line. It will be an exciting weekend to watch golf as the television feed usually has hole by hole updated standings throughout the weekend. Here is a look at the FedEx Cup points bubble going into the tournament: As you can see the bubble guys consist of a ton of low end guys in DFS making it a great week to load up on stars and scrubs in GPP formats if you are into the playoff narrative. If you are looking at key stats this week the course is not daunting in length but more setup so that you have to hit your spots to have a shot at the small undulating greens. For this reason I will weigh Driving Accuracy higher than Distance this week. With the smaller greens I will also look more closely at Proximity and more specifically from 150-175 & 175-200 for the longer hitters and 200+ for the shorter hitters. With the course being a Par 70 we have 12 Par 4's so Par 4 Scoring Average will also be heavily weighed this week. Looking...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings – John Deere Classic

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups John Deere Classic TPC Deere Run - Silvis, IL Par 71 - 7,268 Yards This week is a very unique one in that there are two PGA contests going on at the same time. The return of golf to the Olympics starts on Thursday in Rio, Brazil but that won't stop the crazy busy PGA Tour as we get closer to the FeDex Cup playoffs. This week, back on American soil, the remaining players will have a chance to take home the hardware at the John Deere Classic. Before we get into the tournament we just can't go any further without a quick listen to the Joe Diffie classic "John Deere Green". Enjoy! Yep, that is now 29 times since the start of the week I have listened to that song. I grew up a farm kid and my father was in love with John Deere and during the winter months we spent a ton of time travelling toy shows and collecting the 1:64 scale tractors. As it stands today he has over 300 in the collection and has dedicated an entire room in his house for these adult "toys". LOL. Check out the collection below. Ok let's get back on track. This week's John Deere Classic is hosted by the TPC Deere Run located in Silvis, Illinois. The course is a 7,268 yard Par 71 setup that is one of the easiest on Tour. The winning score here usually gets around the -20 mark so making birdies is going to be the key this week. The greens are larger than normal putting more emphasis on Proximity than GIR and it will also boost the good putters  this week. Looking at previous years leaderboards we can see that Par 3 and 4 Scoring are much more important this week than most. Only one player(Ryan Moore) has been Even par or worse on the Par 3's in the last two years. So to recap we are looking for accuracy players for the most part who score on the Par 3's and 4's and rank highly in BoB%. We will also want to...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings – Rio Olympic Games

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups Rio Olympic Games Rio Olympic Course - Rio, Brazil Par 71 - 7,103 Yards   After 112 years golf is finally back in the Olympic Games. The Canadians will be the defending champs as George Lyon took home the Gold Medal back in 1904. The USA took home Silver and Bronze. With the attention moved away from the players who are not participating(Rory, Spieth, Day, DJ, Scott) we are going to concentrate on the players who are in Rio this week. The 60 golfers who will tee it up on Thursday have a very unique opportunity to win an Olympic Medal for their respective countries. The tournament format, which Henrik Stenson just found out last week, is a regular 72 hole event over a four day period. The people in charge decided with this format as it was the easiest way to get the bid for golf to be approved in the shortest period of time to be able to build a course for the event. A stroke play event gives us DFS junkies a chance to get in on the action of the Olympics with some terrific contests on DraftKings. The tournament that leads the way this week is the $20 buyin, $1,000,000 Guarantee with a $100,000 prize to first place. The best part about this tournament over the Milli Makers is the very flat payout structure and much more limited entries. The course was designed by Gil Hanse and his team starting back in late 2012/early 2013. The team faced numerous Environmental  challenges including not having the ability to import or export any sand. All 79 bunkers are made up of native sand(3 different types) found in the area of the course. They pushed very hard to preserve as much of the natural landscape as possible and it shows in the final design. Hanse beat out some monsters in the golf course design industry(Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus Jr., Arnold Palmer) with his vision he compared to the sand belt courses in Australia and his own design of Castle Stuart Links, the host of the Scottish Open. The...
