Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $10300 DK - $9400Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 53.78 DK - 56.55 It's hard to understand why Westbrook has seen such a stark fall off in price this year. It was easy to see why at the beginning of the year with the unknown of James Harden's usage but Russ has essentially been the same player the first three weeks. That's evident when you see that he's averaging 21.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game. This is a guy who was $12,000 last season on both sites with similar averages and we have to like him in this $10,000 price range against a Warriors defense who ranks dead-last in defensive rating. Golden State is also playing a top-half pace to start the season and it's easy to see why this game has such a high total. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $9000 DK - $8100Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 46.43 DK - 47.11 Brogdon is the early front-runner for Most Improved Player and it's truly amazing just how well this guy is performing. So far this season, Brodgon is averaging 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. That makes him a Top-10 fantasy option and he's still too cheap with those sorts of numbers in his back pocket. It's really no surprise when you see that this team is missing Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis too, opening up a ton of usage for Brodgon. The matchup is stupendous too, with Washington ranked 27th in defensive efficiency. All this doesn't even take into consideration that Brogdon collected 31 points, five rebounds and eight assists on Tuesday. Ky Bowman has been starting for the Warriors and is easily one of the best value plays on the board. Shooting Guard RJ Barrett FD - $7000 DK - $6700Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 35.17 DK - 36.8 It's hard to overlook anytime a coach is playing a guy 40 minutes a game. That's what we have here with Barrett, playing over 37 minutes per so far this season. That happens to be the fifth-highest total in...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 11/5/19
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 11/5/19 After a big-scoring Monday in the Association, things might calm down a bit here on Tuesday with some more defensively sound squads taking the court. Let's check out some of the FanDuel and DraftKings value out there on a six-game slate. Point Guard Kemba Walker FD - $9100 DK - $8500Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 45.82 DK - 47.06 Walker’s had a nice run of games in the short term, two of them without Jaylen Brown in the lineup. The latter will sit again on Tuesday leaving some usage and minutes to go around for the Boston guards/ wings in this matchup. In close games, the plan appears to play Walker around 37 minutes and that gives him such a high floor even with the fantasy production a bit reliant on his real-life scoring. Cleveland doesn’t play at that fast of a pace, but they are a bottom-third defensive efficiency team this year and have particular trouble matching opposing guards with Sexton and Garland in the backcourt. This is a great spot for Kemba and considering the nature of the slate, I do think he sees significant ownership. Jamal Murray FD - $6500 DK - $6500Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 33.24 DK - 34.5 Murray’s minutes have been rather consistent to start the season and he’s putting up nearly an identical line to last year for the Nuggets. As a labeled point guard, the assist numbers will never be all that robust considering most of the offense runs through Nikola Jokic, but Murray can still knock down the three when given the chance. He’s taking about five attempts from beyond the arc and does actually rebound the position okay with five boards per game. Miami’s pace is much higher this year than in seasons past and they rank sixth at 108.5. That beings said, the Heat are very good on defense, so this isn’t necessarily an ideal matchup. But point guard is a bit thin and this is a defensive kind of slate for sure. Other thoughts Markelle Fultz (FD 4700 DK 4000) moved into the starting lineup for the Magic on Saturday, but it didn’t translate to many...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Monday, 11/4/19
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Monday, 11/4/19 On Monday, we could be looking at a stars and scrubs approach to lineups on both sites. There are superstars in great spots with plenty of cheaper options as well because of injuries and suspensions. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9700 DK - $9500Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 54.91 DK - 56.52 From a statistical and real-life basketball sense, Kyrie has been everything and more for the Nets since coming over this summer in free agency. He’s averaging 31 points, 7.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds on a little less than 34 minutes per game. He’s taking 23 shots per game, getting to the line seven times and knocking threes down at almost 40%. Dude has really done it all. It’s not translating to 1:1 wins for the Brooklyn Nets so far, but that really isn’t a Kyrie issue. He gets a borderline dream matchup against a banged-up Pelicans team playing the fourth-worst defensive efficiency this season at a breakneck pace. There’s no early line on the game, but you have to figure it will be the second-highest of the night after the Houston-Memphis game. Kyrie is still an excellent value on both sites and considering what he’s doing across the box score, has a higher floor even if the shot isn’t dropping. Jeff Teague FD - $6200 DK - $6000Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 31.87 DK - 32.6 With Karl-Anthony Towns suspended last game, and ejected the game before, Teague has seen his two highest volume shooting games in the short term. With the offense running primarily through KAT to start the season, Teague’s role had been marginalized to some degree. But he’s more on ball with Towns out and the price doesn’t totally reflect this *new* opportunity. He put up a 15 point, 13 assist line on Saturday against the Wizards in just 28 minutes. The matchup against the Bucks is a much tougher one though, something that does knock down the expectation some, especially if the affair turns into a blowout. That being said, Teague is for sure a cash game option on a slate when we will need some mid-tier value to round out the...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Sunday, 11/3/19
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 11/3/19 Welcome to a great slate of Sunday NBA DFS! Whether you're here because you're psyched about the beginning of the season, or because you're chasing NFL losses, please know one thing: you're in the right place. There's plenty of value to be had on this slate, so let's get to it. Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $10000 DK - $9200 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 53.77 DK - 55.78 I doubted Luka a little bit coming into this season, but I have to say that I'm with LeBron on this one - Luka is a bad mfer. He became the youngest player to ever go 30/10/15 in a game, and it could have been even more if he hadn't been sent to the locker room to get stitches. He's loosely considered questionable in this one, but all signs are that he should be good to go. Luka is the rare case of a guy whose skills could truly be improving this year, which makes sense given how young he is. His bulk stats (points, rebounds, and assists) are all heading in the right direction, and his field goal percentage is going up as well. The price will almost surely be going up in the near future, particularly after this game against the Cavs and their league worst defensive efficiency. Buy now while the price is right. Frank Ntilikina FD - $3800 DK - $3100 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 26.14 DK - 26.26 Of all the players I thought would improve during the world cup this summer, Frank the Tank was pretty low on the list. And alas, here we are. After playing devilish defense all summer long, the Knicks have entrusted him with a starting gig. And while he won't be an on-ball point guard with Rookie of the Year favorite RJ Barrett looming, he still does plenty across the board to justify a near minimum price at 35+ minutes a game. While you can't count on him for 3 steals a game, his defense stats should help him pay value on a night in, night out basis - and going up against a...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Saturday, 11/2/19
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Saturday, 11/2/19 Welcome to my first article of the NBA season! I'm ecstatic to be back at it with DFSR and we have some great picks for you on this Saturday slate. The Joel Embiid-Karl-Anthony Towns fight has opened up a ton of value on this slate and that's going to be the focus of this article. With that in mind, let's start off with the leading scorer in the NBA.Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $10100 DK - $9300Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 51.26 DK - 52.55 It's hard to fade Irving the way he's playing right now and it really doesn't make any sense why he's below $10,000 on DraftKings. Not only is he currently the leading scorer in the NBA, he's also averaging 35.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.5 steals for the season. That makes him one of the Top-5 fantasy producers in the NBA right now and it's no surprise when you see that he's got a 36 percent usage rate while averaging 25 shots per game. Facing Detroit is not worrisome either, as they'll be starting an undersized Tim Frazier at PG against him. Ricky Rubio FD - $6500 DK - $6500Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 33.64 DK - 34.01 Rubio appears to be back to his triple-double ways and I'd argue that he should be $1,000 more on each site. So far this season, Rubio is averaging 11 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game. That's way too much production from a player priced this cheaply and we love him in a matchup like this. Not only does Memphis allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, they also play at the fastest pace in the NBA as well. Also Consider Jamal Murray against an aging D.J. Augustin. Shooting Guard Khris Middleton FD - $7300 DK - $7100Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 36.89 DK - 38.54 With Giannis Antetokounmpo taking most of the usage in Milwaukee, Middleton is always undervalued. That's just the case here, with Middleton averaging 35.5 DK points per game this season. That's the player we've become accustomed to throughout his Bucks tenure...
