We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets The big tourney plays James Paxton FD 7300 DK 7400 Opponent - STL (Garcia) Park - @SEA FD - 29.73 DK - 15.53 The Cardinals have been a strong offensive squad this season, but have actually put up the 4th worst wOBA in the league against LHP. Paxton himself is a prospect with grade A pedigree who hasn't quite put it together at the major league level yet. He's put up ridiculous K numbers across AAA and the majors in a short sample this season, averaging better than 10 K/9 and generating ground-balls on 51.1% of the balls in play he does allow. That's a recipe for the occasional big start, as evidenced by his back to back great starts against Cleveland and Texas earlier this season. Might he get blown up? Sure. It's arguably likely. But don't be shocked if you see his name atop tourney leaderboards alongside the fantastic big money plays you can grab today. Aaron Nola FD 8100 DK 8400 Opponent - SF (Cueto) Park - @SF FD - 32.4 DK - 18.33 If you want one that's really off board, here you go. Nola's got a phenomenal 2.92 xFIP this season, which is good for the 5th best in the majors. He's striking out 9.75 batters per 9 innings, good for 14th in the majors. If we're being honest with each other - and we should be honest with each other if this is going to be a long term thing - I'm not sure that Aaron Nola is really the budding ace he seems to be. The minor...

Daily Fantasy MLB News & Updates FanDuel & DraftKings 6/25/16

Daily Fantasy Baseball News and Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 6/25/16 Welcome to the daily MLB updates and news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock today. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the batting lineup changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Personnel Ben Zobrist suffered a bruised left ankle in yesterday's contest against the Marlins and is listed as day-to-day.. Matt Adams was scratched from last nights lineup with back stiffness. He is listed as day-to-day. Yunel Escobar tweaked his knee on Thursday, but is expected to be back in the lineup tonight Luis Valbuena exited last nights game with back tightness and is listed as day-to-day. Domingo Santana (elbow) will be out through the All Star break. Anthony Rizzo said he is feeling better and is expected to be back in the lineup on Saturday. Stephen Strasburg (back) is on track to pitch Sunday. Carlos Gonzalez is listed as day-to-day with a minor wrist injury. Ryan Raburn will take his spot in the outfield. Top Tournament Stacks Diamondbacks So if I had to choose between stacking the Rockies or Diamondbacks, I would go with the Dbacks. They will be going up against Jorge De La Rosa who has struggled so far this season. He is coming into this contest sporting a 7.17 ERA (wow) that is backed up by a 4.41 xFIP. His ERA is definitely inflated, but pitching at Coors certainly won't help his cause today. The reason why I went with the Dbacks over the Rockies, is not only because Jorge De La Rosa has had his struggles this season, but the Dbacks also devour southpaws. They are coming into this contest sporting a .359 wOBA (1st in MLB) and .206 ISO (1st in MLB). It's safe to say they are one of the best offenses against southpaws and playing at Coors will certainly help them out. Padres Brandon Finnegan is coming into this contest with a good-looking 3.81 ERA. Sure that's a nice ERA, but the question that I have for you guys is: Is he as good as his ERA indicates? And the answer to that question is [no]. On the year, he owns a 5.03 xFIP...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Early Slate Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Michael Pineda, John Lackey, Madison Bumgarner and Jhoulys Chacin in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Carlos Carrasco FD 9400 DK 10000 Opponent - DET (Sanchez) Park - @DETFD - 33.61 DK - 18.26 If you're looking to get away from Lackey and Pineda on the early slate, then I believe Carlos Carrasco is your best bet. A matchup against the Tigers is never one to be comfortable with, but Carrasco owns a 27.5 K% and the Tigers' offense owns a 22.6 K% (9th in MLB), so there is upside for the righty. The other good news is that Carrasco is an above average pitcher. He owns a 2.77 xFIP since 2013, so don't be surprised if the 29-year-old has himself a day. Jacob deGrom FD 10400 DK 11400 Opponent - ATL (Teheran) Park - @ATLFD - 35.3 DK - 19.03 The Braves aren't a team that is going to strikeout a ton (20.4 K%), but you got to love the spot deGrom is in tonight. He will be going up against a team that owns a .286 wOBA (29th in MLB) and 77 wRC+ (29th in MLB). We all know deGrom is one of the top pitchers in the National League, so I'm expecting him to have himself a day. Although he won't fan 10 batters, look for him to deliver a quality start. Julio Teheran FD 8800 DK 12600 Opponent - NYM (deGrom) Park - @ATLFD - 32.82 DK - 17.48 Last year we stacked against Teheran quite a bit,...

Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings- 6/25/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Early Slate Stack Targets *Coors is obviously in play, but I thought it would be better to give you a few other options instead. San Diego Padres vs. Brandon Finnegan (SD) Brandon Finnegan is coming into this contest with a good-looking 3.81 ERA. Sure that's a nice ERA, but the question that I have for you guys is: Is he as good as his ERA indicates? And the answer to that question is [no]. On the year, he owns a 5.03 xFIP to go along with a 4.8 K-BB%. Let's just say that ERA is going to drop big-time and it all starts today. I know we have a tendency to target pitchers against the Padres, but that is a big mistake when you have a southpaw on the mound. The Padres own a .340 wOBA (6th in MLB) and 116 wRC+ (3rd in MLB) against lefties. They throw out a ton of right-handed bats when a lefty is on the hill, so look for the Padres to have themselves a day; especially at Great American (Small) Park. Main Slate Stack Targets...

Daily Fantasy MLB Long Ball Targets FanDuel & DraftKings 6/24/16

Daily Fantasy MLB Long Ball Targets FanDuel & DraftKings 6/24/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of our top targets to go yard on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article but here we will look at guys that have the best chances to hit one into the seats! Let us know what you think, comment below! We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!   Long Ball Targets Mike Trout FD 4300 DK 4900 Opponent - OAK (Neal) Park - @LAAFD - 13.17 DK - 10.27 A lot of great options in the outfield today, but no is giving love to my man Mike Trout. What's wrong with everyone? I know we got Coors Field in action, but it's Mike Trout for crying out loud! He will be facing a southpaw in Eric Surkamp who struggles against right-handed bats. On the year, righties own a whooping .555 SLG to go along with a .402 wOBA. He has just gotten crushed and what better guy to roster on this Angels' squad than Mr. Trout? I know his career numbers are better against righties as opposed to lefties, but I expect him to execute on a Surkamp mistake in this contest. Carlos Beltran FD 3900 DK 4500 Opponent - MIN (Milone) Park - @NYYFD - 10.53 DK - 8.07 Now this is a guy no one will be targeting today that I love (Carlos Beltran)! Not only has he been playing like he's in his prime (.386 wOBA and .286 ISO this season), but those numbers increase drastically when facing a southpaw! He's got much more power and a higher average from the right side of the plate, so watch out Tommy Milone; you're in trouble! Not only are the splits in his favor, but he will also be playing at home (Yankee Stadium), so look for him to have some fun in...
