PITCHER Chris Sale FD 10500 DK 12000 Opponent - MIA (Koehler) Park - @MIAFD - 37.07 DK - 24.61 Chris Sale is the highest priced guy on today's slate, but our projection system suggests he's worth the investment. He has been one of the most dominant pitchers over the last few years, and this year has been no different. He is coming into today's contest boasting a 19.0K-BB% along with a 3.16 ERA. He's a guy that has major upside and pitching against the Marlins will certainly help. While the Marlins do have some guys that smash lefties, as a whole -- they have been below average. On the year, they own a 22.5 K% (12th in MLB) along with a .317 wOBA (19th in MLB). They strikeout at a high rate and don't hit for a very high average, which makes Chris Sale an excellent play in all formats today. Steven Matz FD 9600 DK 8800 Opponent - SD (Richard) Park - @NYMFD - 35.34 DK - 23.11 If you don't want to pay-up for Chris Sale, the go ahead and grab southpaw Steven Matz. He has been excellent this season, posting a 3.32 xFIP to go along with a 23.1 K%. Not only are his numbers been spectacular, but he will also be pitching at home! In case you didn't know, Citi Field is one of the friendliest parks to pitchers, which makes this match-up even sweeter. Similar to Sale, Matz also has a high ceiling today, as he will be going up against the San Diego Padres. The Padres have hit southpaws well this season, but they have also own the third highest K% against them. I wouldn't be surprised if Matz hit double-digit strikeout numbers today. CATCHER Buster Posey FD 3400 DK 4400 Opponent - BAL (Miley)...

Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers for FanDuel & DraftKings 8/13/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of the other pitching targets on this slate. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Masahiro Tanaka and Jacob deGrom in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Early Slate Targets Kyle Hendricks FD 9400 DK 11400 Opponent - STL (Weaver) Park - @CHCFD - 33.41 DK - 21.91 No clear-cut cash game pitcher on the early slate, which always makes things interesting. In the main picks article we mentioned Tanaka, so I'll go ahead and go with Kyle Hendricks. He does not have the best of matchups against the Cardinals, but the Cubs are red-hot. They are coming into today's contest winning 11 games in a row. Their offense has been on fire, so I expect Hendricks to get some run support and possibly pick up the W. Not only I'm I looking at run support, but I'm also look at Hendricks from a talent perspective. On the year, he owns a 1.07 WHIP, 21.4 K% and 3.35 FIP. He has a solid K%, which will help his upside in tournaments and also doesn't allow many runners to get on base. He is the best pitcher on this slate (raw talent wise), so I'll go ahead and use him in all formats. Interesting Fact: Hendricks owns a 1.05 ERA in his last five starts. Main Slate Targets Madison Bumgarner FD 11400 DK 12700 Opponent - BAL (Gausman) Park - @SFFD - 38.91 DK - 25.59 Mad-Bum against the Orioles is an extremely sneaky play in my opinion. Yes, the Orioles have a ton of big bats, but as a team they have struggled against southpaws. On the year, they...

Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/13/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Boston Red Sox vs. Archie Bradley (ARI) The Red Sox put on quite a show last night scoring 9 runs, and I'm expecting them to have another big night. They will be going up against Archie Bradley tonight, who has struggled mightily this season. He is coming into this contest sporting an 11.5 BB% to go along with 1.51 WHIP. Those statistics are just yelling out trouble to me, especially against an offense that is loaded from top-to-bottom. Not only does he struggle with control, but he also gets hit hard! On the year, opponents own a 38.1% hard contact rate against the northpaw. Giving up free passes and hard hit balls won't help you out against this dominant offense, so look for the Red Sox to pounce on the struggling 24-year-old. My top 4 guys to stack: David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez, Travis Shaw and Xander Bogaerts Minnesota Twins vs. Dillon Gee (KC) The Twins have just been on пожар! (That's fire in Bulgarian). They have been the hottest team in baseball over the last 14 days, with a .374 wOBA,...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Cleveland Indians vs. Kyle Gibson (MIN) While the Indians didn't score 12 runs last night (it was the Twins), they still had a nice night putting up 5 runs. It obviously was not enough to win the game, but this is DFS! We just want our guys to score and hit dingers! With that being said, I love an Indians' stack tonight. They will be going up against Kyle Gibson, who has struggled this season. On the year, he owns a 1.40 WHIP to go along with an ERA, FIP, SIERA and xFIP all over 4. This is a great matchup for one of the best teams in baseball, so go ahead and show them some love! It's their turn to score 12 runs! My top 4 guys to stack: Mike Napoli, Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis and Jose Ramirez Washington Nationals vs. Robbie Ray (WAS) Robbie Ray has looked great as of late, but I'm still going to pick on him with the Nationals. Like I mentioned yesterday, the D'backs bullpen is just awful and we saw it last night. They...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Carlos Carrasco, Madison Bumgarner and Adam Wainwright in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Jose Fernandez FD 11000 DK 12700 Opponent - CHC (Hammel) Park - @CHC FD - 37.44 DK - 24.86 Jose Fernandez will not be highly owned tonight, as he will be going up against the Cubs, at Wrigley. This is not an ideal matchup for a pitcher, but this is Jose we're talking about. He owns a 36.8 K% on the year (highest in MLB) to go along with a 76.2 LOB% and 2.26 xFIP. In tournaments, we tend to look for the guy with the highest ceiling and Jose is that guy. While the Cubs are one of the best offensive teams in the league, they have the tendency to strikeout. They own a 22.6 K% (6th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers. Mr. K meets a team that strikes out a ton, so we should expect for him to rack up the K's tonight. He is an excellent pivot from Bumgarner in tournaments. Gerrit Cole FD 9500 DK 9000 Opponent - ATL (Foltynewicz) Park - @ATL FD - 35.83 DK - 23.47 While Gerrit Cole doesn't have the same upside as Jose, he does draw a better matchup and has Vegas on his side. He will be going up against the Braves tonight, who have struggled against right-handed pitchers this year. They own a .290 wOBA (30th in MLB) and .118 ISO (30th in MLB). They haven't had much going for them on offense and playing at Turner Field,...
