There were two separate stoppages on Sunday due to rain and extreme winds but that didn't affect Brandt Snedeker. He went into Sunday trailing the leader and many other players but quickly shot up the leaderboard as he was the only player under par for the day. To be exact he was -3 on Sunday shooting an incredible 69 when the field average was around 78 for the day. He finished his round 1 back of Jimmy Walker before play was suspended. The tournament finished up on Monday and saw Jimmy Walker and KJ Choi struggle allowing Snedeker to snatch the win without having to step onto the course Monday. The players will now take a short trip East for this week's tournament in Arizona. We are back at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course for what is expected to be another entertaining Waste Management Phoenix Open. Most famous for its Par 3, 16th hole built inside a 20,000 seat stadium atmosphere. It is by far the loudest hole in golf and pushes players to be perfect or face the crowd. Hit the green and birdie, the crowd will go nuts. Miss the green or worse yet three putt, and the crowd will boo louder than you have ever heard. You will see things on this hole you will not see on any other course during a professional event. From Padraig Harrington kicking field goals     to James Hahn roweling up the crowd pre putt and even a Gangnam Style dance following a birdie putt. The tournament set an attendance record last year with 564,368 entering the gates Monday through Sunday. On a daily basis the 16th hole alone will see 20,000+ fans. Mark my words. I will be reporting from this tournament LIVE next year. The TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course is a 7,266 yard, Par 71 setup. For the second...

Both golfers finished the regulation 72 holes at -25, four shots clear of the next group of golfers. It was a very impressive performance by both golfers as they combined for only eight Bogeys(Dufner-5, Lingmerth-3) throughout the entire tournament. The other big story of the weekend was the return of Phil Mickelson. His off season work on his game has already paid off in his first start as he finished in a tie for 3rd at the CareerBuilder Challenge. He played his final two rounds on the extremely tough TPC Stadium Course and went -10 going Bogey Free Saturday/Sunday. A great sign for golf to see Phil back on the Sunday leaderboard. He will be back at it this week at Torrey Pines. The PGA Tour stays in California this week and heads to Torrey Pines Golf Club for the Farmers Insurance Open. Like last week this will be another multi course rotation with both Torrey Pines South and Torrey Pines North courses being used. The cut will take place on Friday with the top 70 players and ties moving on to the weekend. Only the South Course will be used on Saturday and Sunday. One thing to note about the two courses is that the North Course plays as one of the easiest on tour while the South Course plays as one of the hardest. If you are playing on Yahoo be sure to set your lineups accordingly. At a behemoth 7,698 yards and being used in three of the four rounds, the #1 stat this week is going to be Driving Distance. The long hitters can more than make up for being in the rough when they are 20-50 yards farther down the fairway. Two of the other really important featured stats this week...

The Sony Open wrapped up last night in Hawaii with Fabian Gomez picking up the win on the second playoff hole with Brandt Snedeker. Gomez was red hot on Sunday shooting a 62 which included an amazing streak of seven straight birdies from hole 6 through 12. Our cash game lineup managed to salvage cashing in a few 50/50's and double ups but not all so we will chalk it up as a loss. Tough week for Justin Thomas, missing the cut and David Hearn getting a MDF on Saturday. Either way, we are moving on to this week and plan to start another streak. The PGA Tour will now head back to the mainland after a terrific couple weeks in Hawaii. This week the tour heads to La Quinta, California for the CareerBuilder Challenge in Partnership with the Clinton Foundation. The tournament was formerly known as the Humana Challenge and originally named the Bob Hope Classic. The tournament will take place on three different courses (Listed above) and will be a Pro Am for the first 54 holes of the tournament. Each player will get matched with an amateur and get one round on each of the three courses before the cut of 70 golfers and ties is established following Saturday's round. The final round will be played on the TPC Stadium Course at PGA West this year. It will be the first time since 1987 that the course will be used for this event. The Nicklaus Tournament Course will also be back in the rotation for this event. It is the regular home of the Q school finals each year. The third course being used is La Quinta Country Club and it will be the 51st straight year here at the event. All three...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings – Sony Open in Hawaii

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups Sony Open in Hawaii Waialae Country Club - Honolulu, Hawaii Par 70 - 7,044 Yards It is a new year but some things never change. Jordan Spieth kicked off the 2016 season shooting a -30       en route to a 8 stroke win over defending champion Patrick Reed. In an interview Tuesday before the tournament he was asked what he is going to do for an encore this year? "Doesn't an encore mean that the show is then over?" Spieth replied. Then he went out and delivered a dominating performance as he did so many times last season. If this is foreshadowing for the future and what we should expect for the 2016 season, we are in store for a great year. For a second straight week we will be enjoying the PGA Tour from the beautiful islands of Hawaii. This week is the Sony Open at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are back to a full field event this week with 140 golfers and a Friday cut seeing the Top 70 golfers and ties make it to the weekend. Jimmy Walker is the two time defending champion and will look to make it three in a row this weekend. No one has won the same event three years in a row since Steve Stricker took down three John Deere Classic's from 2009-2011. Waialae Country Club is a Par 70 that measures 7,044 yards. The course is set on the east coast of the island and can be affected by the trade winds off the sea. The fairways are forgiving but with the strategically placed trees and bunkers it does require an accurate placement of the drive to be in position to attack the pin and make birdies. There are five Par 4's that are 450+ yards so distance can be an advantage this week. We will also want players who hit greens in regulation and good putters always benefit no matter what course. This week I went back through the last five years and looked at the players...

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups Hyundai Tournament of Champions Plantation Course at Kapalua - Maui, Hawaii Par 73 - 7,452 Yards Welcome back to the start of another PGA Tour season. The Tour Championship wrapped up back in September and thankfully we had the wrap around season to get our daily fantasy golf fix. The talent level of the wrap around tournament fields is definitely not the same as the fields during the regular season but still offered some fantastic golf. It was a great time to see some of the changes the golfers are making to their games going into a new season and a prime example was watching Adam Scott get acclimated to a conventional putter.  The two events I watched were the CIMB Classic and the HSBC Champions. At the CIMB back in late October/Early November, Scott finished 2nd and putted great. His putting average on all four rounds was 1.610 which ranked 5th in the field. He then went on to the HSBC Champions the next week and while he struggled to a 70th place finish, his Putting Average was 1.711 which ranked 23rd in the field. He looked comfortable with the conventional putter and I am not going to factor it in much, if at all this season. Another positive of the wrap around season is the opportunity to get a close look at some of the new players on tour(rookies) and some of the up and coming stars who are out to prove they belong. The four rookies(Daniel Berger-winner, Tony Finau, Nick Taylor, Justin Thomas) from the 2015 season who were nominees for Rookie of the Year are definitely leading a list of players who are already making an impact on tour. This year provides another strong list of rookies who will look for early success. A few to look out for: Patton Kizzire Led Web.com Tour money list in 2015 Achieved full status on PGA Tour for 2016 season Four events played in wrap around season Shriners Open - T2 Sanderson Farms Championship - T4 OHL CLassic - T58 The RSM Classic - CUT Emiliano...
