Daily Fantasy DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Wednesday, December 7, 2022
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 12/7/22 It's been a wild week. We've had LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Damian Lillard, Pascal Siakam, and James Harden all return in the last week. Having so many superstars return simultaneously is strange, but it's exciting for NBA fans. We've had a fair share of studs go down as well, which will play a huge factor in this article. With that in mind, let's start with one of the most exciting players in the NBA. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $9600 DK - $10600 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 50.93 DK - 52.52 Ja has taken his game to another level in the absence of Desmond Bane. That's increased his shot attempts, minutes, and usage, flirting with a 40 percent usage rate when Bane is sidelined. That's led to Morant scoring at least 42 DraftKings points in 12 straight games, generating a 51-point average in that span. That's the best stretch of his career, and it should continue against Oklahoma City. The Thunder rank 28th in points allowed while possessing one of the worst rosters in the NBA. Ja missed 15 of his 20 shots against OKC in their one matchup this year but still had 47 fantasy points. Imagine what he could do if he gets hot! Jordan Poole FD - $5900 DK - $6500 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 38.5 DK - 40.57 Poole is going to be in everyone's lineup, but this is chalk you have to swallow. Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have both been ruled out already, forcing Poole into a start and a primary playmaking role. With those two off the floor, Poole has a 32.4 percent usage rate while averaging 1.1 DK points per minute. Poole is averaging 38 DraftKings points per game across 33 minutes a night in his six starts this season. Most of those have been without Chef Curry, and Poole will be happy to take over cooking duties in his absence. Utah is far from a problematic matchup, allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing guards this season. Fred VanVleet (FD $7600 DK $7100) is too good to be this cheap. He's been horrible over the last two...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11800 DK - $13000Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 62.27 DK - 66.3 Luka Doncic is on the second half of a back-to-back but was done a favor yesterday with the Mavericks blowing out the Suns. That meant Luka and company played significantly reduced minutes and there isn’t an overwhelming threat of anyone being rested here. There are some excellent pay-up options on this short slate but there might not be enough ways to save in order to play more than one of them. Luka makes for about as safe an option as there is averaging 33.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8.5 assists on the season. Donovan Mitchell FD - $8800 DK - $8700Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 44.47 DK - 48.18 We are much more inclined to play Donovan Mitchell when Darius Garland is out, there’s still a case to do it here against the Lakers, especially when you consider just how much he’s been running of late. He’s played 37 and 40 minutes over the last two games respectively, putting up 21 and 22 shots in those games. This Lakers team has been above average in defensive efficiency but still runs one of the fastest paces in the league this season. Cleveland has the highest implied total of the slate (not by much, but they do) and are favorites here at home. With Mitchell coming under $9K on both sites, I think the floor is high enough especially considering the Lakers don’t have enough in the way of point of attack defenders to really limit him and Garland. Kyle Lowry FD - $6700 DK - $6700Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 32.94 DK - 35.95 The Heat are getting healthier here with the full starting lineup back in action, making Lowry a little less productive from a fantasy perspective. That’s what happens when things get a little more crowded all around. The Heat are coming on the back-to-back after a loss to the Grizzlies on Monday, so there’s some chance we see rest among the core group. At these prices, Lowry’s ability to contribute across the stat line makes him...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10400 DK - $10300Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 47.26 DK - 49.12 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having some kind of season, a true breakout performance from a guy who was already ascending in this direction anyway. He’s averaging 31 points per game on 50% shooting from the field and 92% from the line where he’s getting close to ten attempts. Add in the three blocks+steals as well as the six rebounds, and five assists and you have one of the truly elite fantasy plays on a night-to-night basis. On Monday, SGA gets the Hawks in a game with the second-highest over/under of the slate (231.5). It could be a high-scoring affair and the Thunder haven’t been shy about running Shai big minutes in close games this season. Andrew Nembhard FD - $4900 DK - $4200Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 30.31 DK - 32.74 Tyrese Haliburton sat out on Sunday and he’ll miss this game as well. The Pacers are major underdogs so we could see a big time blowout at the hands of the Warriors, but it’s still worth playing some of their backcourt in cash. Nembhard took over the point guard duties on against the Blazers and ended up playing 37 minutes in the loss. He finished with 16 points, eight assists, and six rebounds in the complete stat line. His price hasn’t climbed nearly enough for this expanded role and I do think the plan is to play him in the high-30s minutes especially if TJ McConnell were to sit again. Bennedict Mathurin FD - $5500 DK - $5400Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 31.31 DK - 34.76 Mathurin is set to come off the bench again for the Pacers, but that hasn’t stopped Rick Carlisle and company from playing the rookie a lot of minutes regardless. He’s averaging 29 minutes a game over the last month and has topped 30 plenty of times. Mathurin is taking more than 13 shots per game in that stretch, and is coming off taking 15 against the Blazers on Sunday. They will need his scoring if they have any hope of hanging with...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 12/4
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 12/4/22 The injuries have been awful this season, but we're starting to turn things around. We've had a multitude of All-Stars return this week, and more are right around the corner. That can cause some chaos from a DFS perspective, but it's imperative to capitalize on these moves and adjust your process as quickly as possible. We feel like we've done that here, so let's start with one of the most exciting players in the NBA. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA or NFL? Read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy, and more. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $9900 DK - $10500 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 49.4 DK - 50.69 Morant is the most exciting player in the NBA. He's become even better with Desmond Bane (toe) sidelined, posting a 37 percent usage rate with Bane off the floor this year. That's led to Ja scoring at least 41 DraftKings points in 13 of his last 14 games, totaling a 47-point average in that span. He's also flashed a 73-point upside this year, scoring at least 57 fantasy points on six occasions. We believe one of those ceiling games is in play against this disastrous Detroit defense, with the Pistons ranked 29th in both defensive efficiency and points allowed. The minutes, usage, and shot attempts are all up with Bane out, making Ja one of the safest plays on the slate. Cameron Payne FD - $6800 DK - $6900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 34.38 DK - 35.54 Payne has been phenomenal when filling in for Chris Paul over the last two years. In 12 starts for CP3 last season, Payne provided a 34-point average across 30 minutes a night. He's made precisely 12 starts for Paul again this year, averaging 33 DK points per game across 32 minutes a night. It's obviously a trend at this point, and it's hard to understand why he's still below $7,000 on both sites. He's also coming off a season-high 49 DraftKings points in his most recent outing and has the best matchup in fantasy here. San Antonio sits dead last in points allowed and defensive efficiency. Tyrese Haliburton (FD $9400 DK $9100) is leading the NBA in assists and should go nuts against a defensively inept Portland backcourt. Shooting...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Saturday 12/3
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Saturday 12/3 Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, NFL optimal lineups, and our NHL Optimizer. Plus our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Guards Stephen Curry FD - $10500 DK - $10900 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 53.32 DK - 58.72 We have another small Saturday slate with very few top-tier players which makes it easy to pencil Cury in as our top overall pick tonight. It helps this game has the highest total on the board and Steph gets to play the third-worst defence in the league in a projected fast-paced game. For Steph, he has been one of the most consistent fantasy players this season averaging 30.8 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.9 rebounds and has tallied 44 or more DraftKings points in 19 of 21 games. The only thing that could spoil the party is a blowout but on a four-game slate, I am not overly worried and will have a ton of exposure in all formats. Anfernee Simons FD - $8400 DK - $8300 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 40.24 DK - 44.41 Despite a peaking price point, Simons comes into Saturday's action checking every box and it starts with sheer volume. While Portland has struggled with Lillard out of the lineup(1-5), Simons has benefited in a big way for fantasy playing 37 or more minutes in all six games while averaging 21 shots, almost three more per game. He is not only getting the volume, he is delivering on the rising price averaging just over 42 fantasy points a game and flashing 50+ point upside multiple times. In a matchup against a Jazz team who are playing on a back-to-back, rank 24th in defensive efficiency, and 10th in pace, Simons is my top play at the guard position tonight. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6800 DK - $6800 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 38.43 DK - 41.34 From a PTS/$ standpoint, our system absolutely loves Russell in this spot as this game has the second-highest total(231) on the slate as the Timberwolves are home to the Thunder. After a slow and very inconsistent start to the season, Russell found some consistency over the last month shooting around 10% better from the field while also adding about two assists per game which has also led to three double-doubles in his last five. I am not a fan of the rising price but it is very relative to the size of the slate so I will lock...
