RBC Heritage Anyone else have a Masters hangover? What an amazing event we just witnessed with a jam-packed leaderboard all four days capped off by 15th major Championship win(5th Masters) by Tiger Woods. Miss it? Here is a look at his final round highlights. Enjoy! This week, we go from the Green Jacket to the Plaid Jacket as the PGA Tour heads to Harbour Town Golf Links for the RBC Heritage. While you would think the event following the Masters would suffer, that is not the case this year as four of the Top 10(Dustin Johnson, Francesco Molinari, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele) and 24 of the Top golfers in the World are teeing it up this week. There are also almost 40 players in the field who played last week at the Masters. Harbour Town is a Pete Dye-designed Par 71 that is just shy of 7,100 yards in length. If you click the course scorecard below and link to the PGA Tour Course Preview, you will quickly see that the driver will not be the key club this week. The fairways are narrow and tree-lined and like all Pete Dye designs, placement off the tee due to the angles is key. Because of this, we will see a lot of golfers clubbing down and using irons or fairway woods. Accuracy is what I am looking at when breaking down the Off the Tee stats this week. The most important stat to me this week is Strokes Gained: Approach as the greens are very small and tough to hit meaning those players on point for four days will separate themselves from the pack. It also makes sense to look at and weigh Strokes Gained: Around the Green/Scrambling as well with a high percentage of the field missing greens almost half the time. If accuracy is off on the approach, you can still save the...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – The Masters

The Masters The most anticipated week on the PGA Tour is finally here as the 2019 Masters Tournament kicks off on Wednesday with the Par 3 competition. This year's field is made up of 86 players plus the winner of the Valero Texas Open(if not already in the field). The cut is another unique thing about the Masters as the Top 50 and ties plus any golfer within 10 strokes of the lead after Friday's round move on to the weekend. From a statistical standpoint, it is hard to narrow it down to a just a couple stats as Augusta will challenge every facet of a golfers game. Distance can definitely be an advantage especially on the Par 4, 10th and 11th holes that are 495 and 505 yards respectively. Speaking of the Par 4's, that is a spot I will be concentrating on for a couple of reasons. The four Par 5 holes are the easiest on the course and should be had by most of the field. Where I feel golfers can separate themselves is on the Par 4's which are much tougher. Going back to 2012(via Fantasy National Golf Club), the winner has led the field in Strokes Gained: Par 4 Scoring four times, finished Top 5 six times and 8th or better in all seven of those Masters. That same winner has finished 20th or worse in Par 5 Scoring three times with Patrick Reed leading both last year.  We can also pull a lot from the following Jon Rahm quote from last year. Biggest takeaway? Short game, short game, short game! It makes sense as the greens are large but multi-tiered, very fast and have shaved edges which, on some holes, eliminates portions of the green for landing zones. The very tough greens also bring three-putt avoidance in play. Patrick Reed talked last year about some courses it not...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – Valero Texas Open

Valero Texas Open The WGC Match Play is now over and Kevin Kisner did one better than his runner-up finish a year ago and beat Matt Kuchar in the final this time around. This week the PGA Tour stays in the state of Texas and gets back to stroke play with a trip to TPC San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open. Andrew Landry is the defending champ and posted a -17 which was the lowest winning score since the event was moved to TPC San Antonio in 2010. With the event being moved to right after the WGC Match Play and right before the Masters the field is a little weaker. It consists of Rickie Fowler(#8) who is the only player inside the Top 10 Official World Golf Rankings and he is joined by just nine others inside the Top 50 OWGR. As you can tell by the winning scores over the years, the course is tough and presents some challenges. The first challenge is always the wind and it doesn't look to be a major factor this time around as early forecasts are calling for 7-11 mph of wind Thursday through Sunday with temps in the mid-80's. The next challenge is off the tee with deep bunkers, trees, and native area protecting the fairways. The course is long and the rough is not very long and penal so bombers can do well here if they avoid those previously mentioned dangers. If you are, however, targeting a shorter hitter this week just make sure they are on form with their long irons. The approach shots also present challenges this week as they are heavily protected by deep bunkers. With a field average below 60% hitting greens in regulation here, Strokes Gained: Around the Green will be very important especially in the Sand Save % area. Finally, I will also be weighing Par...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – WGC Dell Match Play

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – WGC Dell Match Play Chris will be bringing you weekly PGA picks, analysis, and breakdowns to help you cash on DraftKings and FanDuel. WGC Dell Match Play This week the PGA Tour takes a break from stroke play and heads to Austin Country Club for the World Golf Championships Dell Technologies Match Play. This will be the fourth straight trip to Austin CC and that is what I will be looking at mostly from a course history standpoint this week. I will look at overall match play history as well as the strategies are different from a stroke-play event playing against just one player at a time instead of an entire field. The 64-man field is once again loaded with nine of the Top 10 and 48 of the Top 50 players in the world teeing it up. The only two missing from the Top 50 are #8 Rickie Fowler and #29 Adam Scott. The format has the 64 players split into 16 groups of four with group play taking place from Wednesday to Friday. The player with the best record in each group will move on to the Round of 16 on Saturday where it will be bracketed and single knockout with the final 18 hole match being played Sunday afternoon. For fantasy, scoring is obviously different this week as well so let's refresh how the points are handed out. As you can see there is no scoring for birdies or placing but instead points for winning and halving a hole. Then bonuses for matches won, matches halved, three consecutive holes won, and no holes lost in a match. The holes not played just means if a player win 4 & 2 he gets 1.6 points for each hole remaining plus the matches won bonus. My strategy going into this will be to target golfers in favorable groupings that could potentially dominate one or two matches getting you a ton of bonus points. You will also want to look closely at the bracket and...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – Valspar Championship

Chris is also providing his DFS PGA Weekly cheatsheet where he provides stats, course history, current form, fantasy points, and much more. Grab your copy today and edge out the competition. Valspar Championship It was a crazy final round at the PLAYERS where as many as a dozen or more players were within a shot or two of the lead late Sunday. In the end, it was Rory McIlroy finally breaking through after five straight Top 6 finishes to start the 2019 season. The Florida Swing continues this week with the Valspar Championship and with the PLAYERS Championship last week and the WGC Match Play starting next week, we get a much less appealing field. It does include, however, World #1 Dustin Johnson, #10 Jon Rahm, #12 Jason Day, and defending champion, World #15 Paul Casey. The Innisbrook Resort, Copperhead Course is annually among the hardest courses on Tour. It is a par 71 that stretches 7,340 yards and like last week, there are a ton of obstacles off the tee including tree-lined fairways, doglegs, sand, and yes more water. Once again we will see golfers turn to a "less than driver" strategy off the tee for the most part as positioning and accuracy is much more important than distance this week. This will leave golfers with more long iron approaches so when breaking down Strokes Gained: Approach make sure to concentrate on the 175-200 and 200+ yard ranges. Adding to the number of long iron shots are the Par 3's as there are not only five this week but all of them are 195+ yards. Scoring on the Par 5's will also be important this week as we normally see about 45-50% of all birdies come from these four holes. Survive on the rest, score on the Par 5's! Let's jump in and take a look at some course facts, previous winners, top stats, and then dig into the picks. The Course Innisbrook Resort(Copperhead) - Palm Harbor, FL Par 71 - 7,340 Yards Greens - Bermuda Hole Composition Approach Shot Distribution Weather Previous Five...
