Quarterback Patrick Mahomes FD 8500 DK 7500 Opponent DEN Proj Points FD - 24.16 DK - 24.7 We are usually talking about motivation for teams in the final week of the regular season but so many teams are either still fighting for a spot or positioning. The Chiefs are in the latter category as they come in as the #2 seed with a shot at the #1 but also a shot at finishing #3 or #4. The good news is the offense has really turned it up down the stretch as they have scored 30 or more points in four straight led by Mahomes who has thrown for 250+ yards and multiple touchdowns in each of those games. The matchup isn't that bad either as the Broncos come into the final week of the regular season ranked #20 in DVOA vs the pass. All things considered, Mahomes is my top play at the position on Saturday. Jalen Hurts FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 21.86 DK - 22.55 Both the Eagles and Cowboys have clinched a playoff berth but both can improve their seeding so I fully expect to see the starters throughout. I fully expect Dak to be higher owned as he easily has the better weapons so for GPP formats, I prefer a lower owned Hurts. While he hasn't been nearly as consistent as he was earlier in the season, he has still provided a nice floor with his legs alone and could be relied on even more in that department this week with Sanders out with injury and Scott/Howard on the Covid list. With a chance of being the third-highest owned QB on a two-game slate, I love the play for GPP formats. Running Back Darrel Williams FD 7000 DK 5900 Opponent DEN Proj Points FD - 15.76 DK - 18.07 With Edwards-Helaire ruled out for a second straight week, Darrel Williams will once again be the lead back for the Chiefs. He out-snapped Gore 49-8 last week and was terrific rushing 14 times for 88 yards(6.3 per...

Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 8800 DK 8100 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 28.51 DK - 29.32 The Bills are in the playoffs, but they haven’t locked up their seeding quite yet. It’s not 100% clear how motivated they are to win here, but I suspect there’s at least a semblance of eagerness to take the AFC East which they would do with a win. They own the tiebreaker over New England in that respect. Allen is the top-scoring fantasy quarterback on DraftKings this season by about a game’s worth of production over Josh Herbert. Getting him against the league’s worst defense in the Jets makes for a very high floor play considering the Bills should be wanting to win this one going away. Taysom Hill FD 7700 DK 6200 Opponent ATLProj Points FD - 23.6 DK - 24.54 The Saints can make the playoffs but will need the Los Angeles Rams to beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The games are going down at the same time, so there isn’t likely to be a ton of scoreboard watching early. Hill isn’t all that efficient a passer, but he’s a fine fantasy play especially at his DraftKings price considering what he can do on the ground. He’s rushed the ball 11 or more times in each of his last four starts, averaging about 63 yards per game on the ground. He’ll face an Atlanta team ranked 30th in DVOA against the run this season. Considering how much the Saints need this game and the floor Hill provides, I think he’s clearly a DK play. Running Backs Jonathan Taylor FD 10200 DK 9300 Opponent JAXProj Points FD - 25.26 DK - 26.81 The Colts have not secured a playoff spot yet, though they do control their own destiny there. If they win, they are in and that’s a great spot for us when it comes to Taylor. Having the team motivated to lead on their star back makes him a safer option this week when there is a lot of uncertainty. Taylor’s season has been nothing short of amazing, and he leads the league in nearly every relevant running back category. He has 529 more rushing yards than the next-closest back and his 18 touchdowns are easily the tops there as well. Oh, and now he faces...

Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 8800 DK 8000 Opponent ATLProj Points FD - 27.05 DK - 27.81 The Bills are still fighting for both a playoff berth and the AFC East. Even though they are -14.5 home favorites against Atlanta, this is very much a must-win game for Buffalo. And in terms of fantasy scoring, almost no one has done it better than Allen this season. He ranks behind only Cooper Kupp in DraftKings points on the year and is top amongst quarterbacks. The Falcons are the second-worst defense in the league this season, giving Allen a pristine matchup. And they also allow the 7th-most opponent plays per game as well. In terms of floor, this is the best play QB play on the slate. I think he will be a popular play here and for good reason. I actually think that in terms of safety, there is a big drop-off after Josh Allen here. As of this writing, he’d be who I ran in cash on both sites. That being said… Tom Brady FD 8300 DK 7600 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 24.17 DK - 25.07 I don’t like to offer up non-running quarterbacks in cash all often unless they are going super cheap, but that’s just not the case with Brady. There is a narrative piece here that I do think could come into play for Tampa Tom. He is currently listed as second in MVP odds behind Aaron Rodgers and I do think, in this case, it kind of matters for Brady to continue piling on the stats. He’s had a couple of down games, but he leads the league in passing yards and touchdowns. At 12-3, Rodgers and the Packers are favorites, but Brady could make a case over the last two weeks if they want to run up the score and pass a ton. I’m not usually narrative guy, but in this case, I think I can see a path to a big game. Running Backs Warning: There are tons of solid/ great running back options this week. I think there are 6-7 ways you can conceivably go in cash. Jonathan Taylor FD 10000 DK 9000 Opponent LVProj Points FD - 25.92 DK - 27.52 Sure, the price is through the roof but it’s for good reason. Taylor is having a truly...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 – Main Slate

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 - Main Slate Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time, we're offering a free one-week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL and NBA - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterback Jalen Hurts FD 7700 DK 6400 Opponent NYGProj Points FD - 22.63 DK - 23.33 The Eagles are facing off against the Giants this week and there is a lot to like about Jalen Hurts in this matchup. For starters, grabbing one of the better running quarterbacks in the game is always solid for keeping the fantasy-scoring floor very high. His 733 rushing yards on the season ranks him only behind Lamar Jackson at the quarterback position. Sure, the 14:9 TD:INT rate isn’t amazing, but that isn’t why you are rostering Hurts here. He has 10 rushing touchdowns on the season which is tied for fourth, overall, in the league behind only Jonathan Taylor, James Conner, and Joe Mixon. The Giants are terrible against the run though it’s worth noting that they were able to stymie Hurts some just a couple of weeks ago, forcing three interceptions. No matter, I think going back to the well is fine here in cash. Justin Herbert FD 8400 DK 7200 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 24.79 DK - 25.47 I think we can go up to a more expensive price point at the quarterback position on the main slate because of the savings we are going to get at running back. Herbert is having a near-identical season to his breakout rookie campaign and has thrown 32 touchdowns on a 66% completion percentage. A solid game would put him right at the same yardage last season. He faces off against a Houston team that does rank better against the pass than the run, but I still don’t think we are all that worried about it in this scenario. I do prefer Hurts for just a little cheaper but Herbert makes a strong play here. Running Back Ronald Jones II FD 5400 DK 5100 Opponent CARProj Points FD - 14.08 DK - 15.22 Jones is likely to be a chalk play this week with the news that Leonard Fournette had gone on IR. Last week, after Lenny went down, Jones played 22 snaps and touched the ball on 10 of them with eight carries and two targets. I do think that unlike Fournette, he will cede some of the passing downs to Ke'Shawn Vaughn, but in general, Jones should start the game out as the Bucs’ lead back. Tampa Bay...

Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 16 Christmas Day Slate

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers FD 8300 DK 7400 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 18.73 DK - 19.11 Take 2 for a Saturday slate as last weeks was blown up with the Browns game being pushed back to Monday due to Covid. Coincidentally, those same Browns are back in action this Saturday but this time facing the NFC's #1 seed in the Green Bay Packers. Leading the way is reigning MVP, Aaron Rodgers, who is also the current odds leader to win it again which would make him the first back-to-back winner since Peyton Manning(2008, 2009). While Rodgers has been great all season, he has been at his best in the short term throwing for over 300 yards in three of his last four games(325.3 avg) with a total of 12 touchdowns. In that time, he has scored 24 or more fantasy points in each game while averaging 30.6 DK/28.1 FD points per game. He now faces a short-handed Browns team that already ranks 23rd in DVOA against the pass. Look for Rodgers to deliver gifts to all the fantasy players who roster him. He is easily my top quarterback on this slate. Also Consider: Kyler Murray(ARI) as a GPP pivot off Rodgers or Backer Mayfield(CLE) who is slated to return this week and is the cheapest QB on the slate Running Back Jonathan Taylor FD 10500 DK 8300 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 22.98 DK - 24.43 While the MVP race likely comes down to a battle between veteran quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, Jonathan Taylor is most definitely making his case and not that far off sitting at +800 right now. He comes into Week 16 tallying 100 or more yards rushing in seven of his last nine games(132.3 avg) and has totaled 97 or more yards from scrimmage in 11 straight(146.6 avg).  & BUF). That alone has me feeling a lot better about this below-average matchup against the Cardinals who rank 8th overall in DVOA against the rush. Believe it or not, there is even a path to playing a...
