Daily Fantasy Soccer Picks for the English Premier League - DraftKings 2/27/16 Editor's note: Welcome Rob Banner who'll be covering Soccer (Football to all you Non-Americans) for us. Really excited to have him on board and you can give him a Twitter follow @RobBanner_ The League Cup final takes place on Sunday which is why there are only eight Premier League matches going down this weekend and my attention is firmly focused on Saturday’s 3pm Premier League slate. As you all probably know, DraftKings has been in the United Kingdom for a couple of weeks now. Since its arrival, I’ve been working hard trying to find the formula for success and things have started well and hopefully I can keep the good run going this weekend. Finally I should note that injuries are common in soccer and team news is only released an hour before kick-off, therefore you should ensure that each player is starting for the best results. The goalkeeping position is the only position that receives points for a victory, therefore it makes sense to go with Butland who faces the worst side in the League at home, Aston Villa. Furthermore, goalkeepers also receive points when they keep a clean sheet and Villa are very poor going forward, they’ve scored just 20 goals this campaign, that’s fewer than any other Premier League side.   Forwards Jamie Vardy – DK 7,400 Opponent – Norwich City Having saved some funds by purchasing budget defenders, I’m splashing out on the most expensive forward of this slate, Jamie Vardy. He’s averaged 15.2 points per game this campaign and that’s been down to some outstanding finishing. He’s played in 26 matches and has scored 19 goals and comes into this fixture in pretty good form having score four goals in his last four games. It should be noted that Vardy faces the worst defence...

Daily Fantasy Soccer Picks for UEFA Champions League – DraftKings 2/23/16

Really excited to have him on board and you can give him a Twitter follow @RobBanner_ There’s UEFA Champions League action taking place in midweek as the favorites to win the competition, Barcelona travel to England to face Arsenal and last year’s finalists, Juventus host Bayern Munich on Tuesday. 24 hours later Dynamo Kyiv will play Manchester City at the NSK Olimpiyskiy Stadium and Atletico Madrid travel to Holland to face top of the Eredvisie, PSV. The Atletico Madrid goalkeeper faces PSV who are one of the poorest sides left in the competition, therefore it’d be no surprise to see Atletico come away from Holland with a victory. Furthermore goalkeepers receive five points for a clean sheet and are deducted two each time they concede. In the group stages, Oblak kept four clean sheets in the six games he played and Atletico Madrid boast the best defensive record in La Liga by some margin. Joe Hart – DK 4,000 Opponent – Dynamo Kyiv First of all, Manchester City are the better of the two sides and are more than capable of beating Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday, thus potentially earning Joe Hart five points for winning the match. Secondly, Man City are a very sound side defensively even if their Champions League results to date don’t tell that story. In the Premier League this season, they’ve conceded fewer shots than any other side and that’s significant because shots are a product of goals and are more predictive of future performances than goals are. It should also be noted that the Manchester City captain, Vincent Kompany has returned to action after a lengthy spell on the side-lines and he immediately decreases the likelihood of Joe Hart conceding.   Forward Luis Suarez – DK 9,400 Opponent...
