FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday, 5/12/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 5/12/21 These Wednesday slates usually tend to be the largest of the week, but we have just six games here for some reason. That's good news for us, though, making things much easier to dissect. We also have many predictable teams in terms of rotations, and that's a blessing after that wild slate on Tuesday. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's go ahead and get into it. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12600 DK - $12400 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 54.21 DK - 57.66 These price tags are honestly crazy, but it's equally as crazy to fade Westbrook right now. We say that because he's a triple-double machine, recording one in five straight games. That looks good on the surface, but it's even more absurd when you see that he's got at least 80 DraftKings points in four of those. It doesn't matter what you pay; if you get 80 fantasy points from anyone, you tally up the dough. One of those happened to come against these Hawks, collecting 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 21 assists in that gem. That's really no surprise when you see that Atlanta owns a 25th OPRK against opposing PGs and that Washington is playing without Bradley Beal. Trae Young FD - $8500 DK - $9100 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 45.75 DK - 48.49 It's hard to understand this pricing. Young is one of the best players in fantasy, and he has one of the best matchups possible here. Let's start by talking about that, with the Wizards playing at the fastest pace in the NBA while surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards. That's no surprise when you see that Trae has at least 54 fantasy points in their first two meetings. That's usually the production you'd see from an $11,000 player, and it's crazy that a guy this talented is sitting around $9K on both sites. If you can squeeze these two in with some value plays, you should be ahead of the pack as long as this game stays competitive. Don't forget about Raul Neto in this game with Beal out. Shooting Guard Eric...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 5/11/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 5/11/21 This slate is going to be wild. We have the Toronto Raptors, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Detroit Pistons all taking the floor. If you've been following the NBA closely, you know that means this slate is going to be chaotic. These teams are impossible to predict from night to night, but we're fortunate that they've announced a handful of players that will be sitting. That's actually going to be a major theme in this article, so let's go ahead and get into it! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Killian Hayes FD - $5200 DK - $5400 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 26.73 DK - 27.06 Let's kick things off with the Pistons! We really don't know what to expect from this team from night to night, but they've already ruled out Jerami Grant, Cory Joseph, Mason Plumlee, and Hamido Diallo for this game. That means Hayes should handle the ball on every possession and play somewhere between 30-40 minutes. He actually got a somewhat rare start in their most recent game, collecting 21 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists across 38 minutes of action. That's hard to overlook from a guy sitting around $5K, especially with Minnesota ranked 28th in total defense while surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing PGs. Malachi Flynn FD - $5000 DK - $5300 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 29.16 DK - 29.62 The Raptors have also treated us with an injury report, and it's definitely in Flynn's favor. They've already ruled out Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and Pascal Siakam, leaving Flynn with the starting point guard job. At the beginning of April, he actually had the same role, averaging 32 DraftKings points per game in a 10-game stretch in that expanded role. That's a pretty ridiculous total from a $5K player, and it could be even better here with all that usage and production out of the lineup. It's also going to guarantee him 30-plus minutes no matter what this game looks like, so blowout potential is not really a concern either. Ben Simmons has dropped to around $7K on both sites and could be a huge value at that price. Shooting Guard...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12400 DK - $11000 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 64.21 DK - 67.66 For a guy who has made a career piling up triple-doubles, Westbrook has somehow ascended to an even new level recently. In his last four games, he's averaged 22.25 points, 18.75 assists, and 17.25 rebounds. Those are literal video game numbers, and with the Wizards crushing right now it's hard to imagine Russ slowing down. Atlanta is a bottom 10 defense this season, and Westbrook should have no problem putting up his typically huge numbers. Did I mention that Beal has already been ruled out? Yeah, this is a "Westbrook everywhere" situation. Trae Young FD - $8400 DK - $9300 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 45.75 DK - 48.49 While Russ has been fantastic offensively recently, the Wizards remain an all-world match-up for opposing DFS studs. They've allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season, and have allowed a minimum of 125 points in their last 5 games. Young is playing 35+ minute rotations, and the amount of extra possessions in this game should give him a fantastic floor for cash games. Don't sleep on Raul Neto with Beal already ruled out of this one. Shooting Guard C.J. McCollum FD - $7600 DK - $7800 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 42.96 DK - 44.24 McCollum is a well-known commodity at this point, averaging almost exactly 5x points per dollar on these prices on relatively consistent opportunity this season. We'd be intrigued by McCollum in even a normal match-up, but this one is anything but. The Rockets have been the very most generous teams to opposing shooting guards this season, allowing a league-leading 45.1 FanDuel points a game to them. I love McCollum in the mid-tier price range today. Armoni Brooks (FD $4500 DK $4800) Brooks has quietly been great on these cheap prices recently, topping 5x points per dollar in each of his last three games, including a 40.6 FanDuel point explosion against the Bucks. In fact, he had tough match-ups in each of those three games, going up against...

Point Guard Delon Wright FD - $8100 DK - $7700Opponent - OKCProj Pts FD - 40.49 DK - 39.37 Yes, the price has come up, but not enough for what Wright now means to this Kings team that without both De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton. Over the last three games Wright is playing close to 40 minutes per and averaging 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while also piling up 11 steals in that time period. He’s an elite play with the ability to contribute across the board from a fantasy perspective. Again, this is one of those situations that can look funny because you remember paying like $6K for him, the price simply hasn’t corrected enough. LaMelo Ball FD - $7700 DK - $8600Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 41.51 DK - 42.34 The Hornets had been very careful with LaMelo’s minutes since he’d returned from the wrist injury. But then last game he got p to 34 minutes of run and finished with 27 points, six rebounds and six assists. He’s been able to add defensive stats as well at times. This is setting up to be an up and down matchup against his brother Lonzo and of the two I prefer the younger Ball brother. The FanDuel price is particularly attractive at sub-$8K and the Hornets are still running thin at the guard position with Graham out. Shooting Guard Eric Bledsoe FD - $5800 DK - $5600Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 32.86 DK - 33.94 With Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram out of the lineup on Friday, the Pelicans actually fought hard against the Sixers though ended up ultimately losing. Bledsoe led the team in minutes (40) and shots (20). His final line was 18 points, five rebounds and four assists which won’t blow you away, but neither will the prices on either site. He’s a particularly good deal on DraftKings at under $6K. The only concern here would be that Nickeil Alexander-Walker comes back and cuts into the run some. Terry Rozier FD - $7000 DK - $8100Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 37.47 DK - 38.93 Rozier is still playing a ton of minutes for the Hornets when...

Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10200 DK - $10800Opponent - OKCProj Pts FD - 53.65 DK - 57.02 It’s close between Curry and Russell Westbrook (FD $12000 DK $11100) at these prices and the latter is probably the better play on DraftKings. Both the Warriors and the Wizards are fighting to get their seeding correct and stay out of the bottom half of the play-in game. Curry is going against the Thunder who have given up 118 or more points in three of the last four games. Meanwhile, Curry has a crazy usage rate in the short term putting up 21 or more shots in each of the last five games. He’s averaging 36 points per game in that stretch and is just bombing from beyond the arc, taking 17 or more threes in four of the last five. These are just crazy stats and he could be in line for a similar game on Saturday. Malachi Flynn FD - $5300 DK - $4700Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 29.51 DK - 29.68 Both Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet have already been ruled out for this game and the Raptors look like they are fully in the tank to finish the season. With the guard starters out there should be a lot of minutes there for Flynn in this one. The last time both sat out Flynn played 36 minutes and scored 10 points while putting up six assists and five rebounds. In a matchup against the Grizzlies and the Raptors playing with a borderline skeleton crew, Flynn has a high floor at these prices. He’s an especially good value on DraftKings. Shooting Guard Caris Levert FD - $8600 DK - $9100Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 46.2 DK - 46.57 The Washington-Indiana game has a lot of leverage around it with both teams fighting for seeding around the play-in game. This LeVert play is somewhat contingent on Malcolm Brogdon sitting, but the latter has been shelved for a number of games with a hamstring injury. Last game, Caris played 40 minutes and took 20 shots even with Domantas Sabonis back in the lineup. He finished with 31 points and 12 assists, running the...
