FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 5/25/21 The first few days of the playoffs were absolutely incredible, and we should have some more stunning action here. The Lakers, Clippers, and Celtics are all looking to avoid 0-2 holes, and it should have those teams especially hungry. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9200 DK - $8800 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 51.4 DK - 52.58 We just mentioned that Kyrie is motivated for differing reasons than most players because he's facing his former team. Everyone knows that his days in Boston were far from pretty, and it looks like it has Irving starving when he faces his former team. In their four meetings this season, Kyrie is averaging 30.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.5 steals en route to 53.3 DraftKings points per game. That's some of the best splits you'll see, and it makes it hard to understand why he remains around $9K. That's close to the guy we saw all year anyway, with Kyrie posting a 46-point average. Dennis Schroder FD - $5700 DK - $5600 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 29.37 DK - 30.19 Schroder is not quite the same guy when LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both suiting up, but he's still too good to be this cheap. We're talking about a guy who's averaging over 30 fantasy points per game, playing even better in the second half of the season. That's right on par with our projections for Dennis the Menace, and it's hard to neglect from a guy barely cracking $5,500 on both sites. Facing Phoenix is definitely a tough matchup, but Schroder is averaging 28 DK points per game across 34 minutes a night in their four meetings this year. Kemba Walker has been fantastic without Jaylen Brown this season. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10800 DK - $10200 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 50.03 DK - 52.17 It's strange to see Harden in this price range. The Beard is usually $1,000 more on each site, and it's hard to understand why he's seen a drastic price...

Point Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $7900 DK - $7700 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 41.41 DK - 41.65 Playoff NBA DFS largely amounts to capturing players whose opportunities have changed faster than their prices, and to that end, I present you Jrue Holiday. Jrue played 37.5 minutes in regulation in the Bucks' opener with the Heat, and was phenomenal, posting 21/11/3 line with 3 steals to boot. Those assist numbers can only go up, and while the rebounds should go down, the assists should more than make up the difference. Point guard is relatively thin on value, and taking part of Milwaukee's big three looks like an easy call here. Facundo Campazzo FD - $5400 DK - $5700 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 27.9 DK - 27.93 Playoff slates are generally lacking in value, so Campazzo might be the best we get on the cheaper end of things. The scrappy Argentinian played 31.5 minutes in the Nuggets' opener, and while he wasn't the focal point of the offense by any means, he did enough to pay these prices with a little bit left over. The Trail Blazers should respond to the Nuggets' game 1 gameplan by sending more help at Jokic, and if they do, it will leave Campazzo and the other Nuggets more room to cook. Also considered: Damian Lillard, of course, though he's looking a little too rich for my blood considering where you'll likely want to spend up elsewhere. Shooting Guard C.J. McCollum FD - $7500 DK - $7300 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 41.52 DK - 43.01 CJ was solid in the Blazers' opener, scoring 21 points while chipping in 6 rebounds and 3 assists. The Blazers' starters arguably would have played a little more had this one been a little closer, and the 35 FanDuel points he scored in game one sort of seemed like his floor. The Nuggets are not the same defensive team they were earlier this season, and I think the best of CJ is yet to come in this series. Donte DiVincenzo FD - $5300 DK - $4900 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD -...

Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $7700 DK - $7100Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 43.46 DK - 43.15 The Sixers draw, by far, the best matchup on this slate against the Wizards who will likely want to get into a sprint for this one. Washington played the fastest pace in the league this season and was a bottom-third defense. They are the worst team to get into the playoffs and Philly draws them first. Simmons didn’t have a great statistical season though he’s not priced like a superstar at this point anyway. This is still a dude who put up 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while adding 2.2 blocks plus steals in fewer than 33 minutes. Those are set to really increase here if the game stays close and I think he has a high enough floor in this matchup. Trae Young FD - $8700 DK - $8500Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 47.14 DK - 51.31 Point guard isn’t all that great a position on this slate with some of the other options either coming in as too expensive or in tough matchups. I don’t love him facing up against the very slow and defensively sound Knicks, but that’s something of a theme on this slate. Young should play a ton in this game and New York’s perimeter defense could be put to the test with what Trae brings to the court. Again, I don’t want to pay all the way up for Westbrook against the Sixers and Conley gets dinged with Mitchell coming back into the fold. Derrick Rose (FD $5900 DK $5500) could end up playing a lot off the bench to give the Knicks more scoring options. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $7800 DK - $8000Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 44.9 DK - 46.9 Booker is in a bad matchup against the Lakers who will likely run Caruso a lot here to deal with him on the defensive end. But for a guy who is going to see his minutes really ramp up in this game, he’s coming a little underpriced for how much he can score. Booker had an up and down final month of the...

Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $10000 DK - $10500Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 55.87 DK - 58.68 There’s a lot to like with these opening series and Saturday is full of action. We are going to focus on a few of the superstars playing and it’s going to be tough getting away from Luka here. Dallas will need him to play a ton if they have hope of advancing through this series against the Clippers and he was actually able to do work against this squad last season in the playoffs. Last year in the bubble against the Clippers he averaged 31 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for the series while also contributing on the defensive end as well. I think we can assume similar lines for him in this series. Kemba Walker FD - $7800 DK - $7500Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 38.53 DK - 40.18 For the Celtics to hope to make this anything like a series they are going to need a ton of scoring from Kemba. In the play-in game against the Wizards, he took a whopping 24 shots in the win, dropping 29 points when it was all said and done. The Celtics will need all of that and more if they hope to keep pace with the Nets. With Jaylen Brown out of the lineup, Boston is short on scoring options meaning Kemba’s usage should remain high. If you think the Clippers start bumping up his minutes a little then Patrick Beverley (FD $3700 DK $3300) isn’t a terrible punt play if he’s starting. Shooting Guard C.J. McCollum FD - $7500 DK - $7900Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 42.61 DK - 44.14 Even with the Blazers playing at mostly full-strength to finish off the season, McCollum was able to find enough scoring in this offense to mostly justify these prices. It’s easier to swallow on FanDuel for sure, but it’s close on DraftKings if you think the minutes get pushed close to 40. Over the last five games, he’s averaging 26 points, five assists and three rebounds which is just about at value on these prices and that was on minutes lower...

Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10400 DK - $10100Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 57.94 DK - 61.73 Man oh man, did Stephen Curry ever have a season here. It was really something, carrying the Warriors throughout and putting them on his back for the entirety. He and Lebron have been on a collision course over the last couple of weeks of the season and now they are here with a chance to lock up the 7th seed in just one game. If there was a game for Curry to run low-40s minutes, this is the one. He dropped 46 points in a must-win over the Grizzlies on Sunday and just casually led the league in scoring shooting 42% from three on a ridiculous 12.7 attempts per game. The Lakers matchup isn’t a good one, but this is Steph we are talking about. Dejounte Murray FD - $7700 DK - $6300Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 40.37 DK - 40.48 Murray should be good for minutes in the upper-30s in this game giving him a very high floor considering how he scores his fantasy points. He struggled in the final game of the year against the Suns, but on the season he was good for 16 points, seven rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 32 minutes per game. That should increase here and because he’s not scoring dependent the risk is a little lower at this price point. If there was a Grizzlies player who was going to play 40+ minutes, it would be Ja Morant (FD $7500 DK $8300) Shooting Guard DeMar DeRozan FD - $7500 DK - $7000Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 42.86 DK - 43.35 Like Murray, we could see DeRozan play minutes in the high-30s in this game. His pricing in the middle tier makes him an attractive play on this shorter slate. DDR didn’t shoot as much this season, taking only 15 shots per game, but was still efficient from the field at 50%. His scoring ability should be on display in this game and he’s facing a Memphis team that played the 8th-fastest pace in the league this season. Dillon Brooks FD - $6800...
