Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10000 DK - $10100Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 52.88 DK - 55.71 Curry is coming on the back-to-back here so there’s some concern over whether or not he would sit. But the Warriors are also on the razor’s edge with the playoffs and it’s a little unclear how motivated they are to get there. They lost a close one to the Wizards on Friday, but Curry was great dropping 32 points, six assists, and five rebounds. The matchup against the woeful Rockets isn’t as good but it’s still a solid spot to target the superstar. Keep an ear out for any plans to sit but if he’s in then Curry is a strong cash option in the upper tier. Russell Westbrook (FD 11300 DK 10900) is definitely in play if Bradley Beal is sitting out the second half of the back-to-back. The latter isn’t currently on the injury list but has been dealing with some injuries of late. Westbrook is already close to a play here but would be a must if Beal were to sit. There’s some chance that Joel Embiid sits on the second half of the back-to-back for the 76ers on Saturday. If that was the case then I think we could rather safely roll Ben Simmons (FD 7400 DK 8200) at these prices. I suppose you can consider Dennis Smith Jr. (FD 4000 DK 3400) if he’s starting again. But the Pistons are admittedly kind of a mess. Shooting Guard Donovan Mitchell FD - $8500 DK - $8800Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 44.5 DK - 46.72 Joe Ingles FD - $5200 DK - $5400Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 31.41 DK - 33.23 Jordan Clarkson is going to sit this game out again, opening up more opportunities for both of these guys. Typically, a bench player sitting out wouldn’t have all that much effect on the starters in terms of cash-game viability. But this Jazz situation is just a little different. Clarkson actually has the second-highest usage on the teams (28%) behind only Mitchell and is the lynchpin of their bench scoring. Losing him does free up more shots for the rest of...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday, 4/9/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 4/9/21 Some wacky things are going on in the NBA right now. As someone who covers basketball for a living, players are suiting up every night that I've never heard of. That's just how bizarre things are right now, and it's likely to continue with so many teams falling out of it. It's all about adapting at this point of the season, though, and you'll see what I mean with some of the names you'll see in here. With that in mind, let's kick things off with someone that everyone knows. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $9600 DK - $9900 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 51.33 DK - 54.5 If the Warriors had a better record, Curry would be firmly in the MVP discussion. He's currently averaging 29.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. That's led to a 49-point average for the season on DraftKings, and he's been even better since his return from injury. In fact, Chef Curry has at least 50 fantasy points in all four games since his return, en route to a 54-point average. All of that makes him good against anyone, but Washington happens to be the most fantasy-friendly opponent in the NBA. They currently rank 26th in defensive efficiency and 30th in points allowed while playing at the fastest pace in the league. Terry Rozier FD - $7300 DK - $8500 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 40.87 DK - 42.41 I have a feeling that Scary Terry is going to live in this article for the next month. We say that because Charlotte's backcourt is a shell of itself, missing Gordon Hayward, LaMelo Ball, and Malik Monk. That's three of the primary scorers on this roster, and it's going to leave Rozier with primary ball-handling duties and an opportunity to take 20-25 shots a game. That's awesome for a dude in the midst of a breakout season, with Scary Terry averaging 35 fantasy points per game. We honestly don't expect Milwaukee to slow him down either, with the Bucks ranked 19th in points allowed while playing at the third-fastest pace in the NBA. If Jamal Murray is out,...

Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $9300 DK - $9300 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 47.73 DK - 48.36 Until we get a few pieces of key news, point guard is looking fairly grim tonight. Fox himself is not exactly an exciting play. It's basically a league average match-up wth Detroit, and he's not cheap for his production. It's basically just a war of attrition at the top end of the position. Several of the best guys have terrible match-ups, Luka is on the second half of a back to back in a bad match-up, and other guys are over-priced. So, fairly priced in a decent match-up winds up creeping to the top. Théo Maledon FD - $5400 DK - $5300 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 27.42 DK - 28.59 Tomas Satoransky FD - $5700 DK - $5200 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 28.58 DK - 29.18 I almost included Malachi Flynn in this group as well, but I basically feel the same way about all of these middling-tier point guards. I'm not going to be thrilled to see any of them show up in lineups, but I wouldn't scrap my lineup and start over if any of them showed up in our line-up optimizer. Satoransky has Coby White nipping at his heels, and Flynn can lose minutes off the bench. That's why I'd actually prioritize Maledon here. His minutes have been all over the place thanks to OKC characteristically being involved in several blowouts, but when the Thunder keep things close he plays 35+ minutes with 30+ FanDuel points of production. Given that Cleveland is favored by just two here, I think Maledon will be a nice boost to his fantasy owners. Keep an eye on Mike Conley's status. As of this writing, there is no word that he'll sit, but given that he sat the last time the Jazz played a back to back there's reason to believe he'll sit here as well. If he does, consider Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson had 9 assists in just 20 minutes off the bench in the Jazz's blowout of Orlando, and could be in line for a...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday 4/7/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 4/7/21 Tuesday's slate was not my best showing, but it was an unusual slate. There have been so many wacky things going on in the NBA recently that it's hard to know what to expect. That has me totally checked in for this Wednesday slate, though, and I love these recommendations. With that said, there are many teams in the second half of a back-to-back set, and that's something that needs to be monitored. Those teams include Atlanta, Boston, never, Indiana, Memphis, and New Orleans. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Terry Rozier FD - $7400 DK - $8400 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 42.02 DK - 43.5 The Hornets have been one of the biggest surprises this season, but the final month could be rough for them. We say that because Gordon Hayward, LaMelo Ball, and Malik Monk are all expected to miss significant time. That's a ton of usage, scoring, and ball-handling out of the lineup, leaving Rozier to feast. Scary Terry has a usage rate of 30 percent with those guys off the floor while averaging over 1.2 DK points per minute. We love that for a guy who's in the midst of a breakout season, averaging nearly 35 DraftKings points per game. This matchup is fantastic, too, with Oklahoma City owning a 27th OPRK against opposing point guards this season. Lonzo Ball FD - $7800 DK - $7700 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 39.24 DK - 40.88 The injury bug has really struck this New Orleans team badly, with Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker all nicked up. That's three of the main ball-handlers on this team, leaving Ball as one of the only guys left. While he was hurt himself last week, he's been brilliant in his two games since returning. In fact, Ball's got at least 52 DK points in both of those, despite struggling with his shot. His stat-stuffing ability has allowed him to thrive without his shot falling, and a near triple-double on Tuesday is a good indicator of how much he's doing right now. He was actually playing well before all these injuries, too, averaging 37 fantasy points per game across his last...

Point Guard Jordan McLaughlin FD - $4600 DK - $4400 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 29.71 DK - 29.03 With D'Angelo Russell and Ricky Rubio considered doubtful for tonight's game, the Wolves should turn the point guard duties back over to Jordan McLaughlin. The Timberwolves' third-string point guard put in 42 minutes of duty in their Saturday loss to Philly, and supplied 39.7 FanDuel points in the process. It's a far better match-up here with the Kings, and McLaughlin is just a price and opportunity mismatch at these price points. Discussing the rest: After McLaughlin, you'll need some context to plan for tonight. Mike Conley is labeled as questionable, and if he winds up sitting Jordan Clarkson becomes a clear value option. All signs point to his sitting on Saturday being due to being on a back-to-back, but if he does sit, you should be ready. If you find a lot of value options thanks to the number of questionable players tonight, Luka is playable even in a tough match-up with the Jazz. Luka becomes a better option if Josh Richardson Kristaps Porzingis wind up missing this one. If none of that value comes to fruition, De'Aaron Fox could see big ownership against the Timberwovles, and Derrick White is playable as well. Shooting Guard Anthony Edwards FD - $7400 DK - $7600 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 38.22 DK - 39.85 Edwards is playing otherworldly minutes with the Wolves' entire frontcourt looking doubtful, and like McLaughlin, he will see huge cash game ownership. He's very scoring dependent, but if he's in line for 40 minutes in a close game, it shouldn't matter in a great match-up with the Kings. Tyrese Haliburton FD - $5800 DK - $6500 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 32.45 DK - 32.96 Halliburton has averaged almost exactly 5x points per dollar in his last four contests and should do even better against a Minnesota team that plays the sixth-fastest PACE with the fourth-worst defensive efficiency. The Timberwolves are so shallow in the back-court that a hustler like Halliburton is in a great position to use his hustle to chip in extra...
