The NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup begins this Sunday with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. The spotlight will be on the 16 Chase drivers who will be giving it everything they got to get a win and automatic advancement into the next round. The previous five years stats show that at least five drivers have started outside the Top 10 and finished inside with Denny Hamlin winning form the 29th starting position last season. There is a 40-50% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday which could mes up practice and qualifying so stay tuned for updates.   The following is the initial schedule for the weekend: First Practice - Friday @ 1:30 pm et Qualifying - Friday @ 6:45 pm et Second Practice - Saturday @ 10:30 am et Final Practice - Saturday @ 1:30 pm et Race - Sunday @ 2:30 pm et   Are looking to get better as fantasy NASCAR but don't have the time to conduct all the research necessary? Click Here to Purchase NASCAR Targets Federated Auto Parts 400 Richmond International Raceway - Richmond, Virginia Track - .75 Mile D Shaped Oval Short Track 14° Banking in the Corners After eight months and 25 races we have arrived at the final regular season race before the Chase for the Sprint Cup. The field is pretty much set at this point after the #31 team of Ryan Newman was penalized 15 points following the race at Darlington. Instead of going into the final trailing by a manageable seven points he now trails by 22 and needs a miracle to get in the Chase. Anything is possible and no better place for Newman to try and make up ground then Richmond where he owns the 4th best average finish(11.72) of active drivers. One other way for Newman to get in would be if Chris Buescher falls outside the Top 30 and is unable to use his win to get in. Buescher currently sits 11 points ahead of David Ragan for that 30th position. Richmond International Raceway is a .75 mile short track with a speedway feel as drivers reach speeds of 120+ mph. The banking and high speeds create exciting side by side racing. Track position will be very important this week as each of the last four winners at Richmond started inside the Top 4 and twice during that time eight drivers finishing inside the Top 10 started there. Be sure to check back Friday afternoon for updates on Practice and Qualifying. The following schedule has been released: First Practice - Friday @ 10:00 am et Final Practice - Friday @ 12:00 pm et Qualifying - Friday @ 5:45 pm et Race - Saturday @ 7:30 pm et   Are looking to get better as fantasy NASCAR but don't have the time to conduct all the research necessary? Click Here to Purchase NASCAR Targets Bojangles' Southern 500 Darlington Raceway - Darlington, South Carolina Track - 1.366 Mile Oval Intermediate Track 23°-25° Banking in the Corners With Kyle Larson's big win at Michigan last weekend the Chase Grid is almost complete. There are currently 13 drivers with wins who are locked in to the Chase for the Sprint Cup. There are three spots left up for grabs should any driver inside the Top 30 in points pickup a win in the final two races of the regular season. If no new drivers get wins it will come down to a handful of drivers fighting for position around the bubble. Chase Elliot leads the way with 628 points on the season which is six points ahead of Austin Dillon and 12 points ahead of Jamie McMurray who sits in the bubble spot. Ryan Newman still has a great shot as he trails McMurray by just 15 points. Kasey Kahne(52 points back)and Trevor Bayne(58 points back) would need a miracle at this point to get into the Chase. It is going to be an exciting race to the finish in the next two weeks.   With just two races to go NASCAR heads to Darlington Raceway for the Bojangles' Southern 500. It's the race everyone has been waiting for as NASCAR goes Throwback for a weekend. Take a look at the awesome paint schemes for this weekend by visiting this link. Darlington is one of the toughest tracks on the circuit with two completely different turns on each end of the track. Often referred to as the track "Too Tough to Tame" drivers will try to avoid getting lose and into the wall creating a majestic Darlington Stripe. This is another track that we visit just once a year so track history will be downgraded a bit this week in favor of current form and practice/qualifying speeds. **Update: All track activity has been postponed on Friday** The following schedule has been released: First Practice - Saturday @ 11:00 am et Final Practice - Saturday @ 1:30 pm et Qualifying - Cancelled (Field set by Owner Points) Race - Sunday @ 6:00 pm...

Click Here to Purchase NASCAR Targets Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race Bristol Motor Speedway - Bristol, TN Track - .533 Oval Short Track 24°-30° Banking in the Corners After what seemed to be an extremely long week off from Sprint Cup series racing, NASCAR returns to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. Teams have now had almost two full weeks to prepare for this final four race run before the Chase. There are currently 12 drivers with a win leaving just four remaining spots with a high chance of a previous winner picking up another win putting huge emphasis on points. This is all assuming Chris Buescher finishes inside the Top 30 in points to be eligible for the Chase with his one win. Here is a look at the bubble watch: 13th - Ryan Newman(562 Points) 14th - Chase Elliott(561 Points) 15th - Austin Dillon(559 Points) 16th -Jamie McMurray(550 Points) 17th - Kyle Larson(520 Points) 18th - Trevor Bayne(512 Points) 19th - Kasey Kahne(509 Points) 20th - Ryan Blaney(502 Points)   Bristol Motor Speedway is a half mile short track best described as a bull ring. It is a track that creates door to door bumping and banging for 500 laps under the lights. While the track has turned more into a two groove track there will still be limited room to move around putting a ton of emphasis on track position. Both practices and Qualifying are set to take place on Friday so be sure to come back Friday night for updates. The weekend schedule is posted below: Practice 1 - Friday, August 19th @ 10:00 am ET Final Practice - Friday, August 19th @ 12:30 pm ET Qualifying - Friday, August 19th @ 5:45 pm ET Race - Saturday, August 20th @ 8:00 pm ET Are looking to get better as fantasy NASCAR but don't have the time to conduct all the research necessary? It is the final road course race of the season and it will be a big one with just five races remaining in the regular season.  With Chris Buescher's win last week, the standings tightened up even more. He will have to finish inside the Top 30 in points but expect Front Row Motorsports to exhaust all  resources to get their rookie driver in to the Chase. He currently sits in 31st just 6 point behind David Ragan. Let's assume he and Tony Stewart get into the Top 30 and into the Chase. That leaves four remaining spot available for non winners to either pick up a win or get in on points. Austin Dillon(549 pts) leads the way with Ryan Newman(537 pts), Chase Elliot(533 pts), and Jamie McMurray(517) inside the cut line. Just outside the points cutline and breathing down their necks is Kyle Larson(508 pts), Kasey Kahne(488 pts), Trevor Bayne(480 pts) and Ryan Blaney(480). It is going to be an exciting six week stretch run to the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs. The Cheez-It 350 from The Glen is one of the shortest races on the circuit putting a ton of emphasis on track position this week so expect a few teams to go against the grain from a strategy perspective throughout the race. These strategies can really help a driver who starts back in the pack work his way through the field and have a shot at a top finish. For this reason Place Differential will be key this week. Last years race saw six of Top 10 finishers start outside the Top 10 and four of them including...
