So far it has proved to be a terrific move as he has been stellar in three starts with his new team allowing just four goals total(.950 save %) and is coming off a shutout of the Canadiens in Montreal last time out. He hasn't been facing a ton of shots as the Flyers defense has been playing well but he does get a nice matchup tonight vs. the Hurricanes who have dropped six straight games scoring just nine total goals. One of the biggest reasons why Vasilevskiy will be very popular is because the Sabres own the league's second-worst offense and they just traded away sniper Evander Kane to the Sharks. The young superstar has won his last four games and he and the Lightning should cruise to an easy victory, so all things considered, he is an elite cash game option and fade him at your own risk(not recommended). Semyon Varlamov FD - $7900 DK - $8000 Opponent - CGY Proj Pts FD - 13.75 DK - 3.23 Because Vasilevskiy will be very highly owned this evening, it is a great idea to look elsewhere in GPP formats and enter Varlamov, who has been money on home-ice this season with a 10-4 record to go along with a stifling .933 save % and a 2.31 GAA. The Flames own the league's eighth-ranked offense on the road and they can score goals in bunches which gives this guy a low floor, but his upside potential is huge at home, so fire him up in your tournament lineups this evening. Grubauer took over and ended up saving all 18 he faced and will almost undoubtedly be between the pipes tonight. He has been, by far, the better goalie in Washington and he has won three straight starts with while giving up just five goals on 97 shots(.948 save %). The Capitals are huge -210 home favorites tonight as they get an elite matchup vs. the Sens and their 30th ranked road offense. Fire up Grubauer in all formats. Devan Dubnyk FD - $8800 DK - $7900 Opponent - STL Proj Pts FD - 13.9 DK - 3.47 The ownership at goalie should be spread out tonight with so many top options playing on home ice and one of my favorites is Devan Dubnyk of the Wild. He comes in with a win in three straight games and has gone 6-2-1 over his last nine starts pushing his season record to 26-11-5. He has been so, so on the road this year but has been elite on home ice losing just three games in regulation(16-3-5) with a .931 save % and two shutouts. He also gets an elite matchup as the struggling Blues comes to town having lost six straight games while scoring just seven goals and now rank 22nd overall on offense. The veteran tender has an overall record of 15-13-3, but when playing in Colorado he has an impressive 9-4-1 record to go along with a stifling .931 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA. The Canucks aren't much of a threat as they are ranked 23rd in offense and the Av's are listed as -180 favorites, so with all of these things considered, Varlamov is a great play and my top goalie in all formats. In his first two games with his new team, Mrazek has two victories while allowing only four goals and the Canadiens are ranked 28th offensively, so after Varlamov, Mrazek is my second favorite goalie today and a solid play in all formats. Enter Vasilevskiy who has won seven of his last 10 starts while facing 34.5 shots per game and has been money on the road this season with an elite .937 save % and a whopping six shutouts. The Habs rank dead last in offense on the road and aren't much better at home either ranking 21st and overall have scored just an average of 2.1 goals per game over their last seven games. Philipp Grubauer FD - $8000 DK - $8200 Opponent - BUF Proj Pts FD - 14.94 DK - 3.74 I am making an assumption here that the Capitals will be starting Grubauer tonight and it has to do with Holtby's struggles lately as he has lost five straight starts giving up 22 goals. Grubauer, on the other hand, has won each of his last two starts giving up just two goals in each game, both on the road.
