This article is going to be a little bit different. Instead, I'm going to focus on particular lineup formation strategies that might help you get some separation from the field and get those value plays and sleepers that will let you spend money elsewhere while cashing in for cheap.   Sleepers Weekly disclaimer: The whole concept of a sleeper in one week fantasy football games needs to be adjusted. First of all, there's no real such thing as a "sleeper," in that you're not really going to sleep on a guy until he wakes up. What you're looking at with cheap plays are guys who are priced very reasonably who could go off if all things break right. Sniffing out the best cheap plays with upside is really the only way to have a chance in hell at taking down some of these utterly massive NFL tournaments. You'll pay up for the big names, and then hope your bargain plays pay off. That's where we come in - here are some sleepers that we love for Week 6. Andre Williams - FD 6300 DK 5400 DD 7950 DFSTR 6200 We recommended him in the main picks article for week 6, but Andre Williams is filling in for Rashad Jennings, and predictably, the various sites don't seem to understand that a system creates a back more than a back ignites a system. Don't be discouraged by Williams' poor yards per carry - the G-men have used him frequently in short yardage situations this year - and that should turn around sooner rather than later if he's the running downs back until Jennings' return. The thing you...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 6 – Draftster

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 6 - Draftster Welcome, Draftster fans! If you haven't heard of Draftster yet, you're in luck. They're a forward thinking player in this space, and we think they're destined to make some huge waves. They also have a couple thousand bucks in freerolls every week, and they're still small enough that you can get in on the ground floor. And for DFSR users, they're prepared to offer you a no-strings attached $5 voucher for one of their games. Click the banner below to get involved!   Ready to make the leap and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks? Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, Draftster, and DraftKings. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. We have our general picks for Week 6. This piece will examine some Draftster-specific value as this site tends to quickly adjust prices quickly and severely. This is great news for you as identifying players who are priced as punts is a money-making venture for you. Here we go. Quarterbacks Matthew Stafford - $6400 Stafford is the 14th most expensive quarterback on Draftster. Even without Megatron this is probably a mistake. Last week against an above average Buffalo D (slightly below average against the pass) Stafford managed 230 and a touch which isn't great of course, but the case for Stafford, as with many of the guys in this piece isn't so much the superlatives, but rather the price. Essentially you are getting a QB who will put the ball in the air 30+ times over the course of the game. Grabbing him in the lower third of the salary pool will allow you to essentially overpay at some of the other skill positions. Joe Flacco - $6100 Sitting behind Stafford in the price scheme is Flacco who faces a Bucs team getting shredded through the air. The Bucs appear disinterested in defending tightly thrown spirals, or receivers, or really anything associated with the opposing team's passing attack. Flacco needs to do very little to pay this price off, and I don't think it pays to spend big on quarterback this week. Not with competent starters sitting so low on the salary chart.   Running Backs LeVeon Bell - $8300 Matt Forte- $9000 Though I'm typically loathe to simply give the chalk plays and qualify them as "analysis", in this case both of these guys represent value on Draftster this week. Essentially, by employing some of the other cheaper players mentioned in...

Andrew Hawkins - FD 5300 DK 3500 DD 9950 DFSTR 4400 Rueben Randle - FD 5400 DK 3900 DD 8950 DFSTR 4100 We highlighted these guys in our week 5 picks article, but I just don't want you to miss them here. Both are bargain price guys getting the amount of looks that you'd expect from a WR2. I like Randle better than Hawkins for GPPs due to red zone usage, but am more confident in Hawkins' role in the offense. For more in depth write-ups, check out that article. Khiry Robinson - FD 4900 DK 3000...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 5 – FanDuel, DraftKings, Draftday, and Draftster

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 5 - FanDuel, DraftKings, Draftday, and Draftster Week 5! We're out of bye-week hell, and back into essentially a full slate of games (have fun with your week off, irrelevant Dolphins and Raiders!). Week 4 was fantastic, with only some of our sleepers no-showing, and some big performances from big names. But why live in the past? Let's get to the picks! By the way - we're prepared to send you a free eBook on how the pros set both daily fantasy baseball AND football lineups, free of charge! Check out the details, and get your copies now! Don't make another lineup before reading this book! Each contains crucial mistakes your competitors, and maybe you!, are making. We also have a new partner with a dynamite football product over at Draftster. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. And try out our partner ScoreStreak for a totally fresh take on fantasy football. And if you want some picks? Check back later this week. It's the simplest daily fantasy football game in the world, and it might be your best bet to cash in without trying to do a ton of research.   Quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger - FD 8300 DK 7400 DD 12850 DFSTR 7000 Big Ben will be a popular play this week, and for good reason. After putting up 314 yards against Tampa Bay's 3rd worst passing defense, he'll get the crown prince of terrible passing defenses in week 5 against Jacksonville. The Jaguars' 321 passing yards allowed per game is the league's worst, and their terrible performance against the pass last year suggests that this year's horrendousness (special term coined for the Jags) is no fluke. What I really love about Ben in terms of his upside is his Red Zone usage. This will be a theme for this week, by the way, so get used to it. Roethlisberger has had the ball in...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 4 – Draftster

Posted by on Sep 25, 2014 in featured, Weekly Fantasy Football Picks | 0 comments

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 4 - Draftster Week 3 is in the books, and it was great times here at DFSR central. While Brees, Graham, and McCoy were a dumpster, we thankfully nailed pretty much everything else and were able to escape with a decent week, all thing considered. The great thing about daily fantasy football is living to fight another day! So here we are - on to week 4! We also have a new partner with a dynamite football product over at Draftster. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Quarterbacks Drew Brees - 9000 I wrote this in our main picks article this week: What's that saying about fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on.. something. I forget what I was talking about. Oh! Drew Brees! Love the guy! Love him. To be honest, darling reader, I know you're feeling thrice bitten and four times shy on Brees at this point, but hear me out. New Orleans is currently sitting at a 24.8% offensive DVOA versus a 15.9% DVOA from 2013. Layman's terms - they're doing just fine on offense. For whatever reason, this isn't converting to huge fantasy games, but I believe that this will be the day! Dallas was horrendous against the pass last year, and even gave up some big plays to the Rams. This is the week! I swear it. This holds true on Draftster as well, of course. At 9000 you're paying for it, but I'd argue that Brees has the most upside of any QB in the league this week, unless of course you're thinking about... Matt Ryan - 9000 Going to have to pay a bit here, but after embarrassing the Bucs for a huge fantasy performance in just 3 quarters of work, Ryan has to be mentioned in the conversation with Brees as far as upside is concerned. And this season, you could argue...
