Want picks for FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftday as well? Check em out. As promised, this is my second of two posts for week 4. If you missed my Thursday edition then shame on you. Luckily, it’s still on the site just go filter through the NFL archives. Most 0f the Thursday picks are still good to go for Sunday, however, my expectations have altered on a few and I discuss this below. Before we talk picks, can I make one thing very clear? IF YOU GET 3.0 VALUE FROM EVERY PLAYER YOU CHOOSE ON DRAFTKINGS YOU WILL MAKE MONEY. Stacks, chalupa, doll lala lala lotz of paypa. We talkin’ cheddar here and I ain’t from Wisconsin….But seriously, it is that simple, not to mention I do most of the heavy lifting for you. When making any sort of prediction, it is vital to have a single metric to track your progress and “value” (i.e. points per $1,000) is both simple and revealing. Included in every post I intend to give you a few thoughts on general strategy and know-how when it comes to winning at Daily Fantasy. Unfortunately, this week’s thought is more of a warning, or caveat, or whatever the hell you want to call it. As much as I would love to win every single week, there is a single variable that is not only completely unpredictable, but also extremely detrimental to a profitable week…As Forrest Gump once said, “It Happens.” In this case, the “it” translates to one of your core players going down with a game-ending injury in the first quarter of the game. It’s inevitable and you can only...

Want picks for FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftday as well? Check em out. Hit it Bryce Is it really week four of the 2014 NFL season already??? Let us all take a second to smile and realize how awesome it is to be an American and have the privilege to watch this 21st century version of Gladiator every week from September to January. The pain these guys endure and the risk they take the moment they step on the field is truly under appreciated. See Lawrence Timmons’ hit on his own teammate, Ike Taylor. Let us also recognize that the large majority of NFL players and management are NOT Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy, Roger Goodell, etc. Even with the negative publicity the fact remains that this game is the most entertaining sport in the world. My British girlfriend will roll her eyes once she reads this as she would still rather watch a 1-0 Everton vs. Manchester City game, but I digress. I plan on providing two articles a week for the remainder of the NFL season, a Wednesday edition that will feature my early week plays based upon match ups and price. I will also post a Saturday edition that will cover my cheaper, value picks which always come to fruition later in the week. Let us quickly touch on last week picks.   Week 3 Recap At the QB position, I, and the rest of the world, told you to start Drew Brees and he burned us all...sorta. He threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns, good for 2.19 value in DraftKings terms (Reminder: “value” is a metric discussed last week where,...

A peek ahead at week 3 If you want our full slate of picks for week 3, click here. I go position by position and give you whom I believe to be the best plays, dollar for dollar, for Week 3's games. This article is going to be a little bit different. Instead, I'm going to focus on particular lineup formation strategies that might help you get some separation from the field and get those value plays and sleepers that will let you spend money elsewhere while cashing in for cheap.   Sleepers Weekly disclaimer: The whole concept of a sleeper in one week fantasy football games needs to be adjusted. First of all, there's no real such thing as a "sleeper," in that you're not really going to sleep on a guy until he wakes up. What you're looking at with cheap plays are guys who are priced very reasonably who could go off if all things break right. Sniffing out the best cheap plays with upside is really the only way to have a chance in hell at taking down some of these utterly massive NFL tournaments. You'll pay up for the big names, and then hope your bargain plays pay off. That's where we come in - here are some sleepers that we love for Week 3. Another quick note: When we're thinking about sleepers, the reason we want to play sleepers in football are to get in high priced studs with massive upside. Basically, we're trying to catch lightning in a bottle at a position with relatively low upside (like QB) so we can fit in the big dollar guys at high upside position (like TE or WR). To that end, I'm much more likely to play RB or QB sleepers than WRs. Makes sense? Awesome. Terrance West - FD 5800 DK 5600 DD 9800 DFSTR 3700 West is back again...

Week 2 Football Picks Recap Well, week 2 was a great one for our daily fantasy football picks. We crushed double up formats, and had a little GPP success as well when our QBs were right. Blech, though - QB was a mess last week! Coming into this week, we're feeling very confident after a strong first couple of weeks. On to the picks!   Quarterbacks Drew Brees - FD 9100 DK 8900 DD 16400 DFSTR 9000 Count me firmly out of any group that's worried about Drew Brees so far, and doubly out of any group that is concerned about taking him against the Vikings' defense. Without Adrian Peterson, the Vikings showed what they are capable of on offense, which led to plenty of opportunities for the Pats last week....

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel Thursday-Friday Games 9/11/14

Posted by on Sep 11, 2014 in Uncategorized, Weekly Fantasy College Football Picks | 0 comments

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Thurday Games 9/11/14 College Football is in full swing and we've got you covered with picks coming throughout the week and weekend. If you have real time questions make sure to hit up @cascarruthers on Twitter for lineup help. Our week one NFL picks are live. And don’t forget to get access to our NFL projections. It’s a free 3-day trial for all of your Sunday DFS needs. Quarterbacks Taysom Hill - FD 10500 DK 10300 People say the only two things guaranteed in life are death and taxes. I say the only two things guaranteed in fantasy land are Taysom and Hill. Taysom runs over and around defenses with consistency most only dream about. Hill passes with efficiency and just enough to keep defenses honest. This guy is the best thing since the invention of Yoga pants. Super duper safe with an unbelievably high ceiling. Few defenses have what it takes to stop him and Houston is no different. He should be a fairly heavy start and I don't recommend going against the grain too much. Hill absolutely crushed it last year at Houston. Now they play on his home turf.   Running Backs Kareem Hunt - FD 9000 DK 9900 Hunt is a potential NFL talent as evidenced by his three TD performance against Mizzu last week. Toledo has a history of using their tailback as a fantasy god and it looks like Kareem has the talent to maximize the opportunities. Averaging 10YPC against Mizzu typically doesnt happen by accident. On the road for the first time and a short week are two things going against Hunt. You don't want to be the third. HIs price is high and I wouldn't blame you to look else where, but he's the closest to a sure thing. On a short night it may make sense to pony up for the "expected" stat line. Hosey Williams - FD 4900 DK 4800 This is Cincinnati's first game so its hard to get any kind of read how their offense will look in 2014. Williams is the starter (returning) and at this price its hard to pass on the volume with such a short night. The Bearcats return multiple starters on offense so they should be ready to roll in their home opener. He may not be the best back on the board, but Williams represents strong value and frees up $$$ to be allocated else where.   Wide Receivers KD Cannon - FD 7500 DK 6400 Are you serious? Week one I mentioned how quickly the college landscape can change and guys seemingly come out of nowhere. KD please stand up. Baylor has...
