Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Saturday Late 9/19/15 Ooh, we just love how the college football slates seem to go all weekend. What better way to pass the time waiting for NFL Sunday to start? This Saturday late slate has a bunch of fun games on it with high projected totals. Should be a scoring fest. We're also selling lineups and cheatsheets for every CFB slate. This week they include 2 DraftKings and 2 FanDuel lineups along with a cheatsheet of write ups on a number of different players. They are $5 and are separate from our membership subscription. This season our 12 of our 13 FanDuel lineups have moneyed in cash games, and one won the FanDuel Redshirt tournament. Meanwhile 75% of our DraftKings lineups have hit in cash games. Don't miss out. Click Here to Purchase Lineups and Cheatsheet Quarterback Jerrod Heard Last week Heard got the nod over the struggling Tyrone Swoops and led Texas to a much needed victory. The win came against Rice who isn't exactly a world beater, but hey, a win is a win. After getting embarrassed by Notre Dame Week 1, Charlie Strong needed this win and it seems unlikely he will get away from the guy who delivered the W. There are a couple concerns with Heard. One, he's far from a polished passer as evidenced by only 7 pass attempts last week. As a freshman he doesn’t have the experience and may have some ups and downs along the way. It's also possible he doesn’t have a firm grip on the starters gig, but I think he's there to stay. The good with Heard is he brings real athletic ability and a spark to this Longhorn offense. They also play host to California who has been known to score some points. In order for Texas to hang with Cal's offense Heard will have to move the chains by making plays with his feet. I'm more than happy hitching my wagon to a middling priced guy who could eclipse 100 yards rushing and is a threat to punch one in from six. Patrick Mahomes Texas Tech quarterbacks never seem to translate to NFL talent, but they sure do tear it up on Saturdays. Mahomes is the next guy in line to put up gaudy stats week in week out in the Red Raider offense. Coached by Cliff Kingsbury, a former Texas Tech quarterback who could chuck it all over the field himself, TT has continued to focus on a spread attack passing game. Mahomes has plenty of weapons at his disposal and with his ability to go through his progressions he is a tough nut...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Saturday Early 9/19/15

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Saturday Early 9/19/15 This is a massive slate of games and the college football gods (assuming you believe in such things, which we do) should be smiling down on the amount of potential scoring we've got. FanDuel and DraftKings scores could be in the upper register. We've got you covered with college football picks and lineups to get you started. Click Here to Purchase Lineups and Cheatsheet Quarterback Wes Lunt Wes Lunt entered the college scene as a top QB recruit and started as a true freshman for Oklahoma State. He has since transferred to Illinois and has steadily put up decent numbers. On the year Lunt has passed for 478 yards with 5 touchdowns and 1 pick. He hasn’t been called on all that much in the early going as Illinois chose to ease their way into the season with some favorable early matchups. This week they will travel to North Carolina to face Marquis Williams and the Tarheels. NC can be a little suspect on defense and they haven’t seen a QB with the skill set of Lunt thus far and may not the rest of the way. Vegas has set the line with Illinois being a 7pt dog with a total in low 60’s. That line bodes well for the Illinois signal caller. Excellent value on FD, but probably looking elsewhere on DK. Matt Johnson What I meant by looking elsewhere was looking at Matt Johnson. This cat has thrown for over 900 yards through two games and neither was against a powder puff opponent. Johnson seems to start off slow, but finds a rhythm and never looks back. Last week Johnson connected for a single touchdown pass late in the 2nd quarter, but still finished the day with 6 touchdown passes. Memphis, in my opinion, is largely underrated and specifically on the offensive side of the ball. Vegas pegged the total just above 80, which clearly indicates the type of opportunity to be found in this game. Johnson has plenty of receivers to catch the ball and should find himself attempting north of 50 passes once again. There is simply too much opportunity in this one.  ...

At high noon we got the Badgers tangling with the Tigers. This is an amazing slate of games today and we’re starting off with some of the best players in the country. Heisman candidates, Nick Marshall from Auburn and Melvin Gordon from Wisconsin, will surely steal the headlines in this one. Gordon broke the NCAA single game rushing record (406 L. Tomlinson 11/20/99) that stood for 15 years and he did it just 3 quarters of play with 408 yards. One week later Samaje Perine from Oklahoma ran for 427 yards. You think Gordon wants that 4th quarter back? Auburn is pretty good at stopping the run, but stopping the run and stopping Gordon can be two totally different things. Wisconsin is also good at stopping the run, but stopping Auburn’s ground game is also different. Marshall is a very dangerous duel threat quarterback and if the Badgers leave gaps Marshall will find them. Cameron Artis-Payne is no slouch by his own rights and although Wisconsin is strong upfront he should still be somewhat effective. If you like teams that run the ball then you will want to watch this one. Players to Watch (AUB) Nick Marshall, Cameron Artis-Payne, Sammie Coates (WISC) Melvin Gordon Fantasy Analysis As good as Gordon is I think you can make a strong argument to fade him here. Auburn isn’t exactly a stone wall, but they are kind of tough against the run. Gordon will get his, but it likely won’t be near what he needs to hit value. This isn’t a case of Gordon...

After a one day pause for some holiday or something we have football again. The Heart of Dallas Bowl will feature Illinois versus a feisty Louisiana Tech team. The best player on the field will be Tech’s underrated back, Kenneth Dixon. Dixon rushed for over 1200 yards and scored 26 touchdowns (5 receiving). All that should come in handy against Illinois’ 120th ranked rushing defense. Sokol has been admirable at quarterback throwing for 29 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions. Tech doesn’t feature a slew of talented receivers, but Trent Taylor is dangerous enough to draw the defenses attention. Illinois has been slightly better on offense, but far from consistent. They have put together some nice offensive games and even though Josh Ferguson is a talent at running back, it has mostly been through the air. They could struggle against a reasonably tough Tech defense. Players to Watch (LaTech) Cody Sokol, Kenneth Dixon, Trent Taylor (Ill) Josh Ferguson, Mike Dudek Fantasy Analysis Dixon’s tag is high, but it stands to reason he can still hit value against a very suspect Illinois defense. The offense runs through him so his floor should be fairly set based on the expected volume and he is the surest bet to score a touchdown. Sokol makes a nice GPP play, but he is a little too inconsistent for your cash game needs. Trent Taylor is in play as well. I don’t really envision any Illini players making my lineups. I don’t think Ferguson will have a good game, but he is capable so feel free to...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings Bowl Games December 22

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings Bowl Games December 22 College Football Bowl Season is in full swing and we've got you covered with picks coming throughout the week and weekend. If you have real time questions make sure to hit up @cascarruthers on Twitter for lineup help. Plus check out Draftster for an exclusive 100% deposit bonus up to $200. This service is separate from our NFL and NBA projection systems.   Miami Beach Bowl – BYU vs. Memphis Game Preview: There’s no better cure for a bad case of the Monday’s than an early afternoon bowl game. Plan your half days now because football starts at 2pm when BYU takes on Memphis in the Miami Beach Bowl. This game would have been much more fun to watch had Tayson Hill not been lost for the season. BYU lost four straight before finishing the year with four consecutive wins. Christian Stewart has filled in nicely for Hill, but he is not the same kind of playmaker/rushing threat. BYU also lost Jamaal Williams at running back. Nevertheless the Cougars are a tough team and especially upfront on defensive side of the ball, as they rank 14th against the run. Memphis, on the other hand, will look to exploit the Cougars 104th ranked passing defense and they are certainly capable. The Tigers are led by sophomore quarterback, Paxton Lynch. Lynch had a strong year for the Tigers leading them to a 9-3 record (7-1 AAC). The Tigers play good team football and are very balanced. They run a balanced offense and rank 52 overall, which goes along with their 21st ranked defense. The Tigers are little underrated and I think they are going to give BYU everything it can handle. Players to Watch: (BYU) Christian Stewart, Paul Lasike, Jordan Leslie, Mitch Mathews (Mem) Paxton Lynch, Brandon Hayes Fantasy Analysis: Paxton Lynch is truly the catalyst of the Tiger offense and he should be able to finish strong against a very suspect pass defense. I don’t like the tag on Hayes facing such a strong run defense and will likely look elsewhere in cash games. As much as I like Lynch to have a strong game it doesn’t...
